Gears of War was one of the first games I got for my 360.
I've never loved playing a game as much as I do Gears of War.

Yeah, if you read one of the books (or the graphic novel, I forgot which one) you see that Tai helped Dizzy fight off Skorge, Tai told Dizzy to run while he was holding him off. Apparently Dizzy went back home and saw his 2 daughters again and after that he returns with Betty in Gears 3.
Betty!? FUCK YES!
PC please.
That was the graphic novel, In the "Jacinto's Remnant" book you find that he goes to the island with his two daughters. So he also survived Jacinto's flooding.
Copy pasta from Gearspedia.

it's funny because Dizzy also happens to be the most detailed character of all the COG.

I guess Epic really liked rootin tootin cowboys.
At the end of my Gears 1 playthrough Raam got stuck on a piece of cover so he was a really easy fight :v:

Holy shit, I didn't even know this existed. None of my friends even knew this existed either.
I don't know whether to get the Limited or Standard Edition pre-order. Savage Kantus comes with both but the Limited Edition has some pretty cool stuff too.

Oh god, that is brilliant.
Anyone wanna play through GoW1 + 2?

I have gears 2 and I can play horde mode sometime.
Some people are still confused as to why they lightened up the armor in Gears 3. The reason is that Sera is now undergoing its seasonal change into Summer (I'm assuming it takes a few years for seasons to change on Sera or something). Gears started stripping their armor so that it breathes and is light while at the same time gives protection. While it might not make sense, it does give a good excuse to show off the character's beefy arms.
But they look horrible :smith: I don't like that.
I never liked the way GoW multiplayer was, it felt kinda clunky, but GoW is easily one of the best coop games of recent times. Me and my buddy replayed it several times on the highest difficulty, and horde mode was awesome fun too.
Maybe I'm just a timid gamer. :ohdear:
I also hope they keep the Hammerburst from GoW2, the semi-automatic heavy damage version is a lot better than the peashooter burst rifle from the first game. :v:

The hammerburst in Gears 3 is the same one from Gears 2 except the zoom in feature was replaced with ironsights (which make it ridiculously accurate with little recoil) but the damage was modified a lot so it's not that overpowered crap that it was in Gears 2.

Overpowered? I always thought it was perfectly fine, the Lancer was a better gun unless you had really speedy trigger fingers. :smith:
Gears of War is a pretty good franchise. I like that the plot has quite a few mysteries and sequel hooks, which is sadly absent from most generic shooters.

Every time I use the hammerburst my friends "swear on their own nuts" that I'm using a modded controller :v:

Takes you down in 7 shots, 5 if you have active reload. I'd say it's pretty OP. Lancer was definitely not a better gun as you had to concentrate your fire on the person for a good 2-3 seconds.
Who's up for some horde on gears 2?
Add : E06 Priyom
My Gears 2 just arrived today, I'll play with anyone who wants to.

PC?
oh wait, GoW 2.
Offer is still open
Oh yeah, Savage Kantus :smug:
Isn't that the Amazon.com preorder outfit? If so, then I'll probably make $100 or so by selling it on eBay.
Good idea, I'll try the same with the shaman.
Nobody loves me :saddowns:
Griffin is definitely going to be my multiplayer character.
I just watched some of the footage, the MP still looks as frantic as the last, which is awesome.
Using the sawn-off was the lulziest thing ever. I appreciate that some people here will absolutely despise the gun but my god I burst out laughing every time I pointed that thing at a bayonet-charger who thought he'd have an easy kill and watched him disappear into little chunks with the push of a trigger.
I can see what the journalists meant when they said 'destined the be the most hated weapon in the game'.
Despite how many characters there will be for GOW3, I'm still going to play as A. Carmine.
