I've only played Dom in Gears 1 and 2, never played any other COG :v: Gonna keep it up with Gears 3
I like to play as Dom in Gears 2, he has the lowest head level - Carmine etc. seem to have their heads that stick out, same with Kantus.

I think the shotgun is fun in MP merely due to how unpredictable it is. Depending on your ping and if you're the host, you can fire and they won't hit until like 5 seconds later, but other times they'll be instagibs. :v:

Fucking awesome! I know what I'll be playing a lot of when I get my hands on the game. Reading the YouTube comments, even PS3 only users are jizzing buckets.
Just bought the 4th book (Coalition's End), and I hear Karen Traviss is writing a 5th now.
They're actually pretty damn good, and do a great job transforming steroid abusers into actual relatable characters, as well as bridging the 2 year gap between 2 and 3.
I know pretty much anything about the gears universe now.
I kind of enjoyed the beta, but I just don't have the energy to care about it.
The whole 'dedicated server' thing for multiplayer may be the only thing I care about, to be honest.
I always play for the campaign or the coop which is great fun with a pal. The horde mode was also a nice addition.

I do not see any appeal to the multiplayer mode of Gears, it's nothing special beside of the cover mechanics. It's more useful in the campaigns and it's loads of fun to mow down locusts then some competitive match which is rather annoying and a hassle to play.

But I don't buy a gears game for multiplayer. I love horde mode, and the campaign should be as great as the last games.

I had more fun in the gears 3 beta than my entire time playing Gears 2 except for that Retro Lancer being incredibly fucking overpowered and knocking you down in 4 shots.

Also those that want Griffin early as a playable character, go to Gears of War on facebook and on the left tab there should be a "Get Griffin" option. It'll give you a code you put in the marketplace so you can unlock griffin on launch day.
I love the Gears of War franchise, played it since release of the first one.
The beta was awesome and I will not leave the house this september.

I don't know if I want to buy the season pass. On one hand it's fucking $30 (2400 ms points, around $30) but on the other hand it grants you all 4 map packs for around 33% off + liquid metal skins for all starting weapons (even though that camo/skin looks like crap)
I've always wondered why they never kept making this game for PC after the first one. I would most likely have bought 2 and would buy 3.

I honestly hope they lower the amount of damage the retro lancer (and other assault rifles) do. That retro lancer fucks you up so fast you have no time to react and the sheer accuracy of the hammerburst when in ironsights mode...
