Fuck. Four hours of putting the car together and I got the car to turn over and idle, but I forgot the half shafts. I managed to make the car spaz out in the garage and flipped it over, breaking the windshield. I moved it out of the garage with the tractor and put on the half shafts by jacking up the car one side at a time. Apparently I barely got any gas into the tank with the jerry can, so it wouldn't turn over anymore, I'd just hear the starter going. Now I don't hear anything when I turn the key and I don't get the dash light up when I turn the key, so I killed my battery. How the fuck do I jump start this car? Can I push start it with the tractor or the van? Can I charge the battery somehow?
Can someone link a visual walkthrough on how to put the engine in the car?
Guess I'll be walking from here then :v: [t]http://puu.sh/rVpEp/81bd2b329c.jpg[/t]
The exact same fucking spot [t]http://i.imgur.com/Yqot71b.jpg[/t] On the way back from the store with a shitload of pizza/bug spray and the storm starts. I took my eyes off the road for a second thinking "hmm weather" and this happened. I can't push it over or anything :v: [editline]26th October 2016[/editline] Also question, I don't seem to have the second belt I need for the engine, the timing belt is there but I dont have a drive belt and there isn't one to purchase in the parts catalogue, what do.
Uh oh. My knowledge of cars is really showing, managed to not die and actually get the shitter going, but now the engine is whining whenever I turn the ignition. It rolls and everything, it's just whining to no end so I assume it's the carburettor? I know there's a screw that you can tune there, I have no idea what to do with it tho'
I can't start my car anymore. It's completely dead. All fluids filled. Any ideas? Edit: I suspect the battery, but I have no idea how you charge it.

[editline]26th October 2016[/editline] By the way, the more you die, the more graves pop up in the graveyard. [editline]26th October 2016[/editline] whoa shit your character is only 19 years old?
Anyone having problems with their car overheating like crazy? Topped off coolant but it still overheats when I push it hard, threw two rods the first time.
Personalized my game a bit, authentic to the lore of course. Would this game be better or worse if they gave you the Summer Car already built, but it would always break down and you would always have to make repairs? I mean it probably does that already, I wouldn't know because I still can't put the damn engine in the car.
alright I'm sick of it. Spent 3 hours yesterday and got the car built, spent 5 hours today trouble shooting the fucking brakes. Removed the entire brake system and re tightened every single bolt, 2 on the brake resivor and 8 around the brake line system plus 4 on the wheels. Still won't take or hold brake fluid
Might be because you didn't screw in the brake linkage/master cylinder, almost made the same mistake if it weren't for the car spazzing out, flying off into the sky and landing on its side while I was trying to figure out where exactly the battery goes, allowing me nice view of the underside.
I noticed driving around along the shore of the lake is the easiest and probably the fastest way to get to the store. There's basically no danger.
I noticed driving around along the shore of the lake is the easiest and probably the fastest way to get to the store. There's basically no danger.
my friend says there's a boat somewhere thats the fastest route
First 10 minutes or so playing this I decided to bring my beer case with me in my Van for something to drink on the way to the store. I ended up drinking about half of them when I had to pee. So I opened the door and tried to pee out the side but then my beer case almost fell out when I swerved so I caught it. So I was zig-zagging around pissing all over the inside of my car holding onto a beer case trying to get it back into my car with empty bottles falling out the side when I flipped 9/10
my friend says there's a boat somewhere thats the fastest route
Yeah I've tried that. The downside is that you have to move back and forth the store and your boat if you buy a bunch of stuff.
What the absolute fuck is a warning triangle? And where do I get one?
How the FUCK do I get the engine in the vehicle I can't goddamn line up the engine mounts with the cradle, I've been messing around with it for like an hour and I somehow bent the shit out of the front end of the car
What the absolute fuck is a warning triangle? And where do I get one?
Grab one from the tractor.

The warning triangle is a warning sign you put up in your lane so drivers know there's a broken down car ahead, I think you take it from the tractor.
Yeah I've tried that. The downside is that you have to move back and forth the store and your boat if you buy a bunch of stuff.
I'm just discovering that now.
I spent the last eight hours of my life setting valve tappets and torquing fuel nuts now I can come home and do it all over again in my summer car
Holy shit you have a towing rope you can use
Can't say I like this game. I don't know if I agree with the survival element, or at least I don't agree that every time you start a new game, you have to go to the store because you only get 1 thing of sausage, plus there are car parts/items that you need that you don't start out with. I'm actually buttmad at the fact that this has 94% on steam. This isn't a 94% game.
Grab one from the tractor.
Thank you. Made the first round trip into town with the car and passed inspection. I feel very accomplished.

Very comfy Finnish slice of life simulator. Literally just take the van into town with both fuel cans and buy the fan belt, 3 bottles of brake fluid, one bottle each of coolant and engine oil, and a shitton of sausage, then fill both fuel cans fully. Then you're set to finish the car without dying. It'll cost about half your starting money.

Tried it again with a boat because I thought it would be faster and safer, but it just made it more tedious because of how many walking trips you have to make. I'm probably bias because I just had enough of games that eat up a lot of your time, and give you very little reward. I bought this game not knowing exactly what I would be playing ie reading the steam reviews and assuming steam reviews are infallible.

I meant do the town trip before anything else, period. The moment you start the game. Don't do anything to the car.
This game is an incredibly accurate simulation of my life when I was in my 20s. Except for the death part, so far.
I guess I have a coolant leak somewhere. Time to pull and rebuild the engine :suicide:

For what it is and what it's trying to be, I'd say it deserves the 94%.
