This thread reads like an auto repair troubleshoot thread full of drunk drivers
I want this game now
Oh god I played this for hours today.
I played with permadeath on because hell why not,so far most of my deaths are from the van either crashing it or being run over by it.
Horrifically you can die sucking out the sewage tanks after battling that damn vacuum truck into town, I finally locate the house I need to go to, the hose hooked up and the shit sucking, the truck glitches back and knocks me into the hole.
it'd be funny if street signs changed randomly when you were drunk

It's not super great but someone did make a guide for a precise order. imo a lot of fun is the adventure game puzzle that is building the car, though I guess for someone with little to no car knowledge the game would be rather annoying.
That's nothing, I took my flashlight inside so I could see the food in the fridge and while eating a sausage I somehow lost the flashlight in the fridge.[/QUOTE]
that's nothing, I lost my van. had to do like a dozen runs to the store with the boat
got in the thing, went to turn it on, the van disappeared and I died. it's nowhere to be found, checked the scrapyard and all around the house for it

managed to damage the roof while loading up some coolant too

the thing is great with the rally tires and a good alignment. doing 120 kph down a dirt road and it not be sketchy is pretty amazing
when I threw the stock tires back on to get an inspection though, that was a fucking nightmare. ended up losing a fender and the muffler on the way there so I ended up walking for 3 hours looking for the damn things
I cant wait to get to that stage I need to figure out how to tell what houses you need to visit to do the stuff.
Question on rear brakes... I've got the parking brake lever mounted in the cabin, and have the rear suspension and brake assemblies completed on the car. Brake hydraulics are all hooked up. I can *see* the ends of the parking brake cables hanging just inboard of the trailing arms, but can't find a way to connect them. I've tried with the parking brake handle both up and down, and have tried in various states of suspension assembly, no dice. Do these actually connect to anything?

the only bolt for the hand brake other than the ones that mount the lever in the vehicle is one in the middle of the car almost between the rear wheels. it just hooks the 3 parts of the handbrake linkage together

Thank you very much. And goddamit.
What kind of Finnish Gas Station in 1996 closes before sundown.
[editline]27th October 2016[/editline]
And what fuel does the Boat and summer car take? Judging by the fact that I can only fill the canister with 98, it's 98.

I don't think the boat runs out of fuel. The car takes gasoline. You have a diesel canister in your woodshed near where the tractor spawns.
So, just bought it and started this.
Still trying to figure it all out, ended up in some field close to home that has a blue old shed with some old american car in it (looks like a dodge dart)
Anyway to obtain this vehicle?
How did i find it?
Went face first in to the wall after flipping the van doing 100kmh on my way to town.
10/10
Ok I got the car running. Engine works.
Though I'm worried about what can only be described as a bee screaming bloody murder. Googling the issue gives me an irl result about the belt being shit.
[editline]3[/editline]
Removing the belt solved the issue. Am I supposed to oil it or something?

no, you're supposed to tighten it
I lost my cylinder head I threw it across the shop because I couldnt find a wrench that fit the bolts.
[QUOTE=butre;51272667]no, you're supposed to tighten it[/QUOTE]
Oh I see. Thank you.
[editline]49[/editline]
Goodness now the thing runs for 1-3 seconds, then shuts off. Giving it some gas while starting it solves this problem. If it goes below 1000RPM it shuts off. (Solved: This has something to do with the fact that I didn't tune the engine)
[editline]3[/editline]
Now the engine is fucked. Ticking noises when running, occasional engine pops, I can only move in stutters (2000-3000RPM will make me go forward for 1 second and then revert back to 0RPM)
[QUOTE=F.X Clampazzo;51272037]
Brake fluid?[/QUOTE]
All fluids are filled and nothing is undone with the brakes ive gone over it like 3 times now.
There's screws on the rocker that you can tune you can also adjust the carb. I'm starting again. Tried to tow my car using the van got about 100 meters before I jackknifed. Lost both fenders and a bent cylinder fell out.
So I decided to take the car for a spin anyway despite not having working brakes.
Turns out without tuning the carb it takes like 1/2 a tank to just get to town.
Then right as im about to make the turn that fucking green car turns up and this happens.

Some of the bits on the ground there are the broken off head of pistons.
Decided to just end it all after losing my baby

For those of you who are curious about the boat being faster than van: The boat is approximately 1 minute faster than the van.
Finally finished building the car, the engine dies when idling so I have to keep RPMs high (probably something to do with the valve timings, which I have no idea how to set up), the coolant starts shooting out of the radiator at high speeds, and the brakes don't work.
I love it
I wish there were actual puddles of fuel/coolant/whatever that you could see. I discovered that I had a fuel leak and there were no indications that there was one.
Heard a loud bang and then the engine died, just before the cop checkpoint.
Well, it's not like I could've gotten this thing past 60km/h anyway
How to lower the engine properly? I positioned it above the engine bay, lowered it and it just stays there, no screws to tighten
Also when to lower it? Like, I put the brake and clutch linings before the actual engine

There are two screws on each side on the front of the subframe, tighten them and the engine will fall in place. There is also a screw in the middle at the back of the engine.

How do I return the pump hose? I've tried holding it while mashing e all around the truck.
Someone should really assemble a FAQ.
nvm worked it out. You have to be holding the end peice
[QUOTE=Squeegy Mackoy;51273219]How do I return the pump hose? I've tried holding it while mashing e all around the truck.[/QUOTE]
Grab the end and drag it near the corner where you pulled it off from.

You press M1 I think, not E.

As soon as you pick up the phone, a dart appears on the map marking the house you need to go to. Pro tip: Have a good, long look so that you remember exactly which one it is.
