is the mechanic going to care that i rolled his car several times and died in it. [editline]30th October 2016[/editline] do you have to bleed the air out of the radiator? i noticed even with the aftermarket one it wasn't cooling the engine very well. After it boiled over though and i topped it up suddenly it worked perfectly.
I noticed I was overheating like crazy on my last save, started a new save and absloutley no overheating issues now. I think if any bolts are loose on the engine it'll effect cooling. If you're still having issues I'd say rebuild the engine.
Oh my fuck. I have no idea how but my car is a rocket right now. [vid]http://files.1337upload.net/mysummercar_2016-10-29_16-03-04-47-589695.webm[/vid] Tyre spinning launches and going so fast the needle goes off the speedo. [editline]a[/editline] And then immediately after the recording ends I pull back onto the road without looking and get fuckin rear ended.
So when using the A/F gauge whats the ideal mixture when warmed up? Just somewhere in the green zone?
Finished the engine and body for the first time without dying somewhere along the way, I crash my van halfway across the dirt roads getting gasoline and all the necessary fluids. :(
So when using the A/F gauge whats the ideal mixture when warmed up? Just somewhere in the green zone?
14.7 according to my ~mechanic~ friend.
Drinking beer and sausages is funny and all and was fun for a while but I really want to focus on the car building part of the game and can't, I really wish you could disable hunger/dirtiness/thirst
So when using the A/F gauge whats the ideal mixture when warmed up? Just somewhere in the green zone?
Basically, it's better to keep it a slightly bit rich than a slight bit lean, but ideally as centered in the green zone as possible.
Pissing in the radiator does nothing. I hope they fix this.
14.7 according to my ~mechanic~ friend.
funnily enough I had mine set on 14.8, I'm hitting a speed wall at 140 km/h though, even with the aftermarket double carb.
Holy shit the drunk guy calls me every night. I subsist solely on his "small compensations" I'm his personal chauffeur now.
funnily enough I had mine set on 14.8, I'm hitting a speed wall at 140 km/h though, even with the aftermarket double carb.
That's a wee bit lean
A 'Stoichiometric' AFR has the correct amount of air and fuel to produce a chemically complete combustion event. For gasoline engines, the stoichiometric, A/F ratio is 14.7:1, which means 14.7 parts of air to one part of fuel. So what is meant by a rich or lean AFR? A lower AFR number contains less air than the 14.7:1 stoichiometric AFR, therefore it is a richer mixture. Conversely, a higher AFR number contains more air and therefore it is a leaner mixture. For Example: 15.0:1 = Lean 14.7:1 = Stoichiometric 13.0:1 = Rich Leaner AFR results in higher temperatures as the mixture is combusted. Generally, normally-aspirated spark-ignition (SI) gasoline engines produce maximum power just slightly rich of stoichiometric. However, in practice it is kept between 12:1 and 13:1 in order to keep exhaust gas temperatures in check and to account for variances in fuel quality.
I still haven't managed to make a trip to the store and back without dying, but at least I've discovered the joys of driving the poop truck with the boombox behind me, the peer at my side, and plenty of space left for groceries, fuel tanks, and more peer. Fuck the van, it's only capable of going slow and flipping itself into oblivion when hit by the slightest breeze.

But I'm having so much fun with the hydraulic fork attachment. The van really needs to be heavily loaded in the back in order to be maneuverable.
what the fuck. is it possible to buy a new hose for the truck? it's stuck at the bottom of a sewer now.
What do I do with the hose on the sewage truck after a job? I can't put it back on the side of the truck it just bugs out or falls through
What do I do with the hose on the sewage truck after a job? I can't put it back on the side of the truck it just bugs out or falls through
You gotta grab the end of the hose and sorta smoosh it into the bit it came from - a tooltip should appear for you to return it.
You gotta grab the end of the hose and sorta smoosh it into the bit it came from - a tooltip should appear for you to return it.
oops i just abandoned it hoping it would magically return
so, I sent my truck into the ditch on the way home, getting it stuck with wheels off the ground, no problem, I got my beer cases to put under the wheel. that ended up jamming me between two trees, so i decided to just knock myself out. I forgot to pee so my bladder exploded and I died.

aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH I finally set up the money run of a lifetime. Two sewage runs in Loppi and two in Perajorvi. Im all cleaned up, rested, full and got plenty of beer. I was gonna take the fuel cans with me to stock up while I was in town. The first leg of the trip goes well, I pull up my youtube trucking playlist, and I notice my fuel gauge is a little low, so I hit the highway and I figure Ill stop and get fuel before the sewage runs. So, the truck is running great, I got up into top gear and Im hauling ass down the highway. I get to the turn just past Loppi, when I hear it. The noise that now makes my butthole clench harder than creepers in the early days of minecraft. Lo and behold, the fucking donk wagon comes flying around the turn at me, going at least 120, IN MY LANE. I screamed and tried to swerve but there wasnt enough time. I plow straight into him, and my half loaded sewage truck ramps off the front of his car, doing a full barrel roll as it flies into the forest. I shit you not, I rolled almost 360 degrees before I touched the ground. So the truck keeps rolling, the fuel cans go shooting out the window, theres beer flying everywhere, and I can hear the donk wagon dissapearing in the distance, still driving apparently. Miraculously, I emerged unharmed from the truck after it came to a rest on its side, but with my only option being walking all the way back to the farm and bringing the tractor to maybe flip the truck back over, I gave up and went back to my last save. Fuckin donk wagon

How do you fill up the fuel cans at the gas station? EDIT: never mind I got it. I had to hit f to open the cap
does the dirtiness meter just increase fly noises? i can deal with that. i can't deal with it killing me because i got gangreen or some stupid shit that i'd expect to be in this game
Yeah you're not going to flop dead because of it, at least in the current update
Yeah you're not going to flop dead because of it, at least in the current update
sweet, hunger thirst and fatigue I can deal with but sitting in that sauna for like 5 minutes filling up the bucket etc is just tedious
sweet, hunger thirst and fatigue I can deal with but sitting in that sauna for like 5 minutes filling up the bucket etc is just tedious
It goes quite a bit faster when you sit on the bench, you can use one full bucket for at least two sessions.
First time building my car The immense moment of starting the engine for the first time BOOM Starter exploded out of my engine Forgot to install my exhaust :v: Anyway, how do i reinsert my starter? I have taken the engine out of the car but it won't fit
Building the engine is infuriating, because parts don't go together randomly, but then go together in completely spastic positions. Also got a few parts I just don't know where to put. A manual is starting to seem necessary.
