If anyone is still wondering why the hell your car is running hot, check your oil. Running the car without the rocker cover makes it lose oil, for example when you're tuning the engine, and without oil it can't cool properly.
That explains why my engine exploded yesterday...
30.10.2016 -Added re-spawner for vehicles, if they drop out of the map they should spawn at their original starting locations -Made double check to reset spark plugs if they still get stuck -Increased strength of the crap hose -Fixed issue with stolen fuel getting saved too early -Made brute force parking brake to the truck, it won't slide anymore when parking brake is applied -Some player character stats are now reset after death -Changed Satsuma gear shift audio from 2D to 3D -Made flies appear little later at the dirtiness scale -Swimming also reduces dirtiness now -Starter help added to Van, Tractor and Truck for players who use Auto Clutch -Fixed gears being shifted while not in Driving Mode -Adjusted Tractor parking brake

Not even a week into release and we've already gotten what, 3 updates? God bless this dev. Also with the dual carb I noticed a slight power increase, but I wasn't able to hit 160+ until I got the racing headers + exhaust and rad.
Question Car is fully fitted, i think everything is screwed in and in the right position. It starts up fine and it revs up perfectly but when i shift into first gear or into reverse it kicks a tiny bit forward/backwards and the engine goes out. It also shuts off when i rev it up to max for 3-4 seconds in neutral
Also with the dual carb I noticed a slight power increase, but I wasn't able to hit 160+ until I got the racing headers + exhaust and rad.
I hit 160 with all the stock parts, but with engine tuning by the mechanic guy
I hit 160 with all the stock parts, but with engine tuning by the mechanic guy
Ahh yeah I was tuning it myself and 4th gear was completely useless, literally wouldn't move past 110-120 in 4th
god fucking damnit, fuck that sewage shitfuck. trying to pull the hose out, do something weird, oh look im at the bottom. fuck me.

Again, this is how it works in real-life, not sure about in-game.
I got my sewage truck stuck on a tree when I flipped it, try and ram it loose with tractor, I died. FUCK
Managed to overturn the truck midway between home and the store, ran home, drove the tractor all the way to the truck, but by the time I got there it was so dark I couldn't see shit, drove back home, slept, drove the tractor back, managed to get the truck back on the road, and as I was driving back home, I drove right onto the green fucker and he overturned me and ran away, ran for the tractor that I left back there, it was nighttime again by the time I got to the truck so I just drove back home again. Not a good day for shit-truckers.

You've always got to match up intake + exhaust. [del]You need the right amount of back-pressure in the exhaust system to get the maximum possible power. If you just make your air intake bigger and put bigger jets in the carb, you can suck more fuel into the engine, but the back pressure of the stock exhaust will keep the additional gases from being expelled properly. Conversely, a high-flow exhaust with stock jets and intake will reduce power as well because it creates turbulences in the header. [/del] Strike all that, I was mixing everything up with 2-stroke engines there. The next bit I wrote holds true for 4-strokes, but only concerning the intake system. It all has to do with the fact that it's not a continuous flow of gas but a rapid series of small bursts. So you've got this sort of vibration in the pipes that does all sorts of crazy stuff that engineers are somehow able to predict. The same goes for the intake system by the way - there's a reason why the snorkels are a certain length and diameter. [editline]30th October 2016[/editline] ...to the point where I've gotten overconfident. I wish I had screenshotted that time I died from crashing the tractor into a tree on a completely open and flat stretch of ground. I had put the hand throttle on max and was texting on my phone.
Whenever I start up my car I'm gettin like the sound of loose screws or bolts, then a few seconds later I get a tiny pop, I got the thing filled and all so I aint outta gas.

Use screwdriver on the rockers to fix it. Good luck though.

I didn't realize you could actually die of fatigue and I died just because I wanted to take a sauna before bed. I want to kill myself.

About to take my car for inspection, where does the triangle go? Or does it just have to be in the car? And will the inspector inspect it if it's full of shopping? [editline]30th October 2016[/editline] It passed on everything

How viable is it to play this game if you know very little about how cars work?
How viable is it to play this game if you know very little about how cars work?
I've already managed to brute force a lot of the engine and the car body. Just need some trial and error as you figure out what goes where. Only question I've needed is the half-shaft.
can someone take a picture of where their fuel strainer is? I can't get mine in any all my searches say "right side of engine".

I do hate the tree glitches in which you are instantly killed by a tree no matter how hard you hit it :/
Well got the car built. Fixed the belt slip noises and so forth, all filled with fluids. But for some reason it won't move under its own power. It idles and runs fine. Just won't shift. As if the gears/clutch isn't engaging and disengaging. Any ideas?

There should be 3, two next to each other and one above those.
Well I checked the lining. Found the 3 you mentioned and tightened them both. Still no movement under it's own power, I also found out that I somehow managed to forgot to bolt the seat in, and whilst in the car, right clicked the seat, and it killed me. Anyway. Repasting my save now. (I back it up. Don't judge me.) :v: But yes. So you were correct about those, I'm still missing something else. Welp time to dive into the engine back and under the pit again.
