don't because it ruins the whole point of the game

Not gonna say that you are ruining the game
But i am going to say that you are missing on the actual excitement on taking on the highway and the actual value you give to your car and what you do once you realize that one bad turn could ruin it all. I am guilty myself for cheating though since i have times where i really can't be fucking bothered to drive to the store to get myself some food

As long as it's this buggy, it is not cheating. Depends on how you use it. If I spend 5 hours building your car and it spazzles onto the roof because I touched it incorrectly, i don't give a fuck, I reload. There's no thrill in that. I'm not blaming the game in any way, I know it's early access.
I'm a big fan of ironman games, and usually play only in that mode if it's available, but only in games that are already finished and have no nasty surprises. The more Amistech develops this game, the less backups i'll use, until there is no need for them.
Do you have to start over from scratch now? :worried:
And I just managed to actually pay that 11k post, I was heading home
So there's an achievement for drinking your own pee and one for using pee instead of water in the sauna.
So far I've tried peeing into the sauna bucket, peeing onto the stove, peeing into empty bottles, peeing straight up in the air, but nothing gave me any of the two achievements.
Can somebody give me a hint, possibly without completely spoiling the discovery?

I accidentally got the drinking pee one, all I did was pee straight up, i didn't even mean to i was curious how peeing worked lol

Why not turn permadeath off?
Why not turn permadeath off?
Even with permadeath off you still get fucked over 'cause the game seems to save the car mesh and bolts on the fly, not when you save the game.
Has anyone figured out save editing yet? I managed to lose my diesel jerrycan somehow even though I always drive with the doors/windows/boot closed and I need it to ferry fuel back to the crap truck (it's only got enough fuel to make it to the junction just outside of town even with the most anal of eco-driving).
It seems that my blue van is forever gone, even with the cheat that makes it return :ohno:
Also i lost some engine parts, where can you buy new ones?

You have to pee onto the stove, but the game is kinda picky with the places it lets you do it, it works for me when I pee from the upper bench facing the stove or standing at ground level in front of its right corner, but aiming a bit upwards and towards the center of the stove, if you do it right yellow-hued steam comes out of the stove.
Apologies in advance if it is "too spoilery", maybe it is a bug, or maybe it's a finnish tradition (I mean, to pee from the benches onto the stove), but in that case I think the reference is so obscure and inherent to a particular culture that I can't think of any way of transmitting this particular piece of knowledge without revealing the exact details :v:
Back-ups are a good idea until they fix some of the weird collision issues
I had my car do a sweet flying piroutte into the roof of the garage when I tried to install the driver's door (literally the last part before I was going take it to get inspected, even painted everything, kind of tuned the carb, adjusted the valves and aligned the front end by eye) and it somehow ejected both fenders, the final drive and (most of) the engine. From that point on I've been creating back ups pretty regularly.

Did your van go under the map or something?
Well whenever he implements the making of kilju, maybe people want to buy that off him and he can deliver it.
We'd just need a purchasable musical horn, ability to add custom decals easily and co-op and we all know where it'll go.
don't because it ruins the whole point of the game
yeah sure having my car fall to pieces after a crash without saving or pushing it using hands and denting the shit out of the chassis is the point of the game

If youre gonna pull that shit, just turn permadeath off
I accidentally got the drinking pee one, all I did was pee straight up, i didn't even mean to i was curious how peeing worked lol
I accidentally drank piss when driving uphill in the van.
Man, I hope this gets co-op support at some point, would be so rad
I'd like to see if the dev is planning to add more maintenance items, just to add to the tedium. Like having to replace brake linings, change out the oil (there's already a drain plug and filter!), etc etc
I hate the fact that the mesh is saved on the fly. I fucked up my frame so badly just from having it fall into the pit and pushing it back out because it slid off the car jack inside the garage..

This is true.
I have had the van kill me just driving 40kmh down the dirt road with nothing around me before, shits not in a state where you can just roll without backups yet. When the game feels like when you die its your fault instead of a random bug then I will stop using backups.
I do find it kind of hard not to quit without saving at least when the game will just decide half of your car is now untightened out of fucking nowhere.
I accidentally got the drinking pee one, all I did was pee straight up, i didn't even mean to i was curious how peeing worked lol
I didn't even piss straight up, I was pissing on the tester memorial and thought I got the achievement for that at first.

All you gotta do is copy the mesh .txt thing from a new save into your current one
I marked mine as read-only so everytime I reload my save the mesh reverts back to normal. I got tired of bending the shit out of everything just by pushing it in/out of the garage and by accidentally stepping on the bumper when working on the engine.
So what's the dark Finnish secret to controlling the van and not having it tip over? Do I just stick a bunch of car parts in the back for weight??
Also I know this is supposed to be a very difficult realistic game but I really wouldn't mind a basic HUD with speedo/tacho/gear...

Don't turn above 25km/h.

There are two possible secrets to choose from: Use a wheel or a controller, or don't go over 60 on dirt roads and brake before scary curves. And obviously, don't veer off the road.
the brakes in my car still don't work at all, when you first load in to the game you can usually pump the brake pedal once and see it move but after that hitting S does nothing. i'm about to tow it into town now to fill the tank properly, can I get the mechanic or something to fix it? i've not been to the mechanic yet
[editline]31st October 2016[/editline]
two more questions too actually
-how do I get the car tested like I see people doing
-I can't attach the front bumper because it appears there's another panel missing from the front of my car. can't see it anywhere in the garage, need to purchase it elsewhere maybe?
There's a shop in the town with the store/pub that'll inspect it
The bumper is supposed to bolt on directly to the body, there's no other panel for it?

maybe my front end is just too mangled for it to attach? no idea why it's so bashed up
There are two possible secrets to choose from: Use a wheel or a controller, or....
Oh yeah, this times a billion. When I switched to a controller I got into far fewer accidents - having analogue steering as well as braking/acceleration makes the driving so much more manageable, especially at speeds like 200kph :v
A friend swears by analogue clutch and leaving the brake as digital input, but feel like analogue braking is far more useful.
Mine looked about the same after trying to tighten the exhaust manifold bolts and accidentally stepping on the bumper, but I was still able to attach it. Sure you don't have the front and back mixed up? :v
