If you have it too tight it tends to break with little warning until you overheat[/QUOTE] Ah, I must have had it too tight then - I pretty much just pulled the alternator as far as it'd go and fastened it there :v I only noticed something was wrong because the engine temp was slowly rising higher than normal and the engine eventually just cut out with dead electrics at a temp way below where you'd expect engine failure. Guess the battery got drained running the radiator and spark plugs and the temperature rise was from the water pump stopping. I love this game. Man, finishing off the car and driving it for the first time was wayy more scarier than id imagine. Nearly crashed head-on into that dick in the green car leaving the house, made sure not to downshift at too high an RPM and basically granny-drove it to the runway to test alignment and afterward go get it inspected ...Only to make the mistake of trying to put the toolbox into the trunk along with a beercase and warning triangle. Physics flipped out when i closed the trunk and fucked up the back end badly. i reloaded only to find out that the game had saved the bolts that came undone previously, so i put it into the garage to check and tighten any loose bolts and just quit for the night, too scared to try drive it again. Kinda took for granted how every other vehicle is indestructible, for the most part. if they had the same level of mechanical damage that the satsuma has i wouldn't have any running cars left :v:

I've always had the idea of buying a cheapo car of motorcycle and fix it up in my spare time. This game just has made that craving much stronger.

Finally finished the car AAAAfter having to put it back on its wheels as I FLIPPED THE CAR BY TRYING TO GET INSIDE Took me like 10 minutes to tow and smash it upright In the end my trunk is all twisted but overall the car is fine All I have to do is put the liquids in and start earning money to modify it so it doesn't look like a complete piece of shit

Well my car is coming along pretty quickly, got the rolling chassis all assembled, and assembling the engine didnt take too long although I got confused for a bit at the clutch assembly. I also had to unbolt the flywheel after putting it on because I forgot the motor plate. I have been double checking all my bolts for tightness during the entire process so after the engine is in the car and the plumbing is all done it will hopefully at least try to start up. I think I might just leave it as its rusty old self and I might leave the doors off. I have heard bad things about the boot lid so I am also going to omit that part. For some reason I like the rust, the rust has soul.

For FUCKS SAKE I lined up an awesome four stop sewage run, so I took a nap, loaded up some food and beer into the truck, put together a large order of parts, and loaded up the jerry can. I get in the sewage truck, then my heart skipped a beat when I realized it has almost no fuel, and the jerry can had a few drops in it. So I set off to try and make it into town. Made it just onto the highway when the engine starts sputtering, and it coasts to a stop. No big deal, I grabbed the jerry can and start walking. I get into town like 15 minutes later, set the jerry can down next to the pump and reach for the nozzle. *Clunk*. The fucking shop JUST closed for the night. So I drop off my order in the box, head into the pub, have dinner and relax there for a bit, before taking five shots of vodka so I pass out back home. I wake up on the roof. I head back home, just as the phone call comes in that my parts arrived. I get in the van, drive it into town, fill up the jerry can, toss it in the van, drive to the truck, fill up the truck with the can, drive the truck back into town (leaving the van on the side of the road), fill up the truck at the pump. FINALLY ready to go on my run. Got to three stops, fatigue was getting a bit too high to hit the last stop, so I headed home in the truck. Still a sweet 3600 MK, nbd, I'll just hit the last stop tomorrow. Then, of course, I managed to roll the truck on the highway home because of fucked up geometry in the ditch. FUCK. Oh wait, I thought, I had my van parked kind of nearby, I could just sprint to it, drive to the pub and drink myself to death to get quickly tele'd back to the house so I don't die from fatigue on the long dirt road back home, then figure it out in the morning. So I start running to the van. Fifteen minutes or so later, almost maxed out my fatigue bar, I end up coming across the police checkpoint. I approach the cop holding the radar gun at my face, and I must have brushed his shoulder or something because he fucking falls over dead as I walk past. The cops parked down the street must've seen this, because they instantly hit their sirens and come screaming down the road at me. He pulls up alongside on the other side of the road, holding a ticket out the window. "For fucks sake, there goes all my money" I thought, so I start slowly walking towards the cop car. Then I hear the faint 'untz untz untz' of the donkwagon, at that instant I begin to panic as I realize I'm walking across the street. I glance around for him, it's all good, he's still far away and in the opposite lane as the parked cop car. Relieved, I keep walking towards the cop car, I grab the ticket and I look at it. All of a sudden the fucking donkwagon slams into the back of the cop car, the donkwagon flies into the air, hits me and instantly murders me. There went my entire night. :(

My experience with the game so far: I was basically done building my car and was ready to test it. However, being the spaz that I am, it took me an entire jerrycan to figure out where exactly I had to hold it to fill the fuel tank. That's okay, I was going to go to town to buy a shit load of sausages anyway. Cue me doing 80 something on the shitty-ass dirt roads, flipping the van twice, then racing down the motorway before finially stopping at the fuel pumps. This is all well and good, until I realise that I left the Jerrycan. FFFFUUUUUUU- Okay, it's fine, I'll just waste more diesel tomorrow. I load up the rest of my shopping and head back onto the road. Again doing 80 on the dirt, only this time I hit a bump really badly and my windscreen smashes. Now, being a perfectly sensible person, I decided the correct course of action is to head back onto the road with the windscreen flopping about the inside of the van. This quickly got annoying, so I picked up the windscreen, opened the driverside door and threw it out. While doing 80. I then grabbed another bottle of beer from the case next to me and went on my merry way. The next day I would die by doing a cart wheel. Oops.
