Did you do much recon beforehand? I would try to learn the track but thinking I know it might be the fastest way to get killed by it.
Not particularly for the rally, it's roads I've driven (died on) many times so I kinda know them. It's the inner loop of the dirt road going anticlockwise. I had the racing carb, exhaust system, radiator and rally tyres I drove slower than you probably could do the back straights even though it feels you should be able to go flat out, it's always a risk a hard bump in the road or landing from a little bit of air will kill you I recorded my lap, I'll stick it on youtube for anyone interested
Do the rally tyres even do anything? The car feels like it handles the same on the dirt tracks whether I'm driving with the rally tyres or the racing tyres [editline]a[/editline] Actually I take that back; the difference in traction is super noticeable when braking/driving at high speed :v [editline]a[/editline] Fuck. My run was going pretty decently 'til I hit the hill just before the swampy area and got caught out by unexpected airtime. [vid]http://files.1337upload.net/mysummerrallycar-dbb006.webm[/vid]
Is there an easy way to set up a 360 controller for all the driving? The satsuma keeps locking up the brakes or it just stalls out when I apply the brakes unless I'm depressing the clutch
Is there an easy way to set up a 360 controller for all the driving? The satsuma keeps locking up the brakes or it just stalls out when I apply the brakes unless I'm depressing the clutch
How I've got my controller set up is: accelerator/brake - RT/LT indicator L/R - LB/RB shift up/down - X/B clutch - A (shifting like this likely won't work if you've got small thumbs :v:) range selector - pad down toggle high-beams - pad left wipers - pad right steering left/right - left stick left/right obviously handbrake - right stick down (ideally i'd want this on dpad down as a toggle but it doesn't seem to work - analogue input for it is nice tho) Worth mentioning I play with a PS3 controller and I'm used to this layout after many hours of playing Euro Truck Sim with basically the same layout, so YMMV. [editline]a[/editline] The game also seems to love resetting my deadzones which is a huge pain in the ass as my controller is very old and the analogue sticks (left in particular) don't rest dead-centre anymore.
Oh cool, can I set all that in-game or do I have to use xpadder/etc?
Oh cool, can I set all that in-game or do I have to use xpadder/etc?
If it supports an xbox controller you can do it in game. For a PS3 controller you'll need SCP Drivers to use it on windows though after that it works fine.
Oh cool, can I set all that in-game or do I have to use xpadder/etc?
Should all be doable in-game if you use the standard 360 controller driver. [t]http://i.imgur.com/bcfPcdL.png[/t]
Awesome, I just kind of assumed it didn't support 360 controllers for some reason, I didn't realize it had settings in-game. :v:
How long is the part delivery supposed to take? I sent out the letter with the order and it's been the next day and I'm not getting any calls about it. [editline]16th November 2016[/editline] And right as I made that post I got the call.
How long is the part delivery supposed to take? I sent out the letter with the order and it's been the next day and I'm not getting any calls about it. [editline]16th November 2016[/editline] And right as I made that post I got the call.
Part delivery is super quick. I dropped an envelope off, took my car for inspection and bought some fuel, saved (advances time around 2 hours) and when I loaded the parts had arrived. You can normally drive to the shop the next day even if he hadn't phoned
I put my letter in a week ago :(
I put my letter in a week ago :(
It's probably lying on the ground beneath the mailbox.
Had mine get stuck in the slot before too Considering how tedious everything else is in this game I'm surprised that the shipments don't take a full week in-game. I once dropped off my letter in the mailbox, bought some groceries and headed home, and the phone rang just as I pulled up.
I think it was just the engine not being well tuned. My coolant and oil were mostly full and I'm not really spending too much time in low gears.
Get the AF Gauge and tune the carburetor, if everything you say is true then it's either the carburetor or you forgot some screws.
I took another shot at the rally and actually managed to finish this time, even came first somehow [t]http://i.imgur.com/tsgqcfI.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/bOhW1Ww.png[/t] Video if anyone's interested. You'll have to pardon ~ultra low graphics quality~, my computer is showing its age and I had to do everything I could to get a playable framerate :^) [vid]http://files.1337upload.net/mysummerrallycar2-ca80b1.webm[/vid] Everything between the start and the firewood guy is like the back of my hand so maximum gofast was doable, between there and the mechanic is kinda murky 'cause I rarely ever take that stretch of road also fear of the teflon swamp made me cautious, and between there and the main town is completely unknown to me so I was even more cautious than on the firewood>mechanic stretch. The best part of all this is I was so happy that I'd finished the rally in one piece I completely forgot to pick the 5,000 markka prize up off the table, so it's probably despawned by now along with the rest of the rally stuff v:v:v
This car can take quite a beating [T]http://i.imgur.com/uNyx8lm.jpg[/T][T]http://i.imgur.com/zNsane1.jpg[/T]

[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/kpRP17w.png[/thumb] I'm getting this burning feeling that I did something wrong, I can't quite put my finger on it.
After watching this, I can't help but wish we could order bosozoku parts for the car.

I just reached perajarvi from home with the van while under the effects of the booze, not going down from 60 km/h. Oh and
[vid]http://my.mixtape.moe/hcsyyq.webm[/vid] [t]http://i.imgur.com/fAYMHMl.jpg[/t]
I didnt get this at first so i wanted to try it out: ended up paying 1000 markkaa for 20 litraa of diesel
I can't even play this game now. The game is loading inexisting tracks, running out of memory and I can't bring up menu in-game to disable loading songs. MSC save editor is refusing to save changes for some reason.
How does the timing cover and water bits work aaaaaaa
I didnt get this at first so i wanted to try it out: ended up paying 1000 markkaa for 20 litraa of diesel
the shopkeep is a fucking asshat [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/yusrcs.webm[/vid]
Some of the sounds made by those cars remind me of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieJUP9O9RG8[/media
Of course it's in Finland, too.
How does the timing cover and water bits work aaaaaaa
You have to put the timing cover on before you move on to pulleys.
So i got bored backed up my save and went mental with my car. Turns out when its set up right its really hard to break. I sat in the drive revving the sit out of it and the temp barely went over halfway. Then i drove around in first doing burnouts everywhere and yanking on the handbrake eventually hitting a tree and dying. Was fun wile it lasted
I had 29 hours in the game after it came out and kept a week long hiatus because shit kept breaking down. Went back and started from the beginning, 3-ish hours to build the car and tune it. Now I finally have it inspected and all. Too scared to try the rally. [editline]20th November 2016[/editline] One evening I had a idea to put in some radio.. suddenly it was 5am and I have all of the 95top75 now in game. [t]https://puu.sh/smSvm/09782526a7.png[/t]
