My Summer Car - Car building and 90's Finnish summer simulator

I just installed the game and I get about 30 fps.
I have everything on low, any other work arounds that I could do?
I have a craptop, but I look forward to building a car
The train tracks are dangerous as hell with the Satsuma. I guess I'm not great at hitting them dead on, almost every time I go over them quickly, something falls off my car. The last time, I had a bunch of stuff torn off the car. The fuel tank, exhaust, muffler, trunk lid and right fender flew off and the contents of my trunk (Jack, both jerry cans, tools, beer, groceries) spilled out everywhere. Not to mention all the dents and damage.
I set up my Logitech MOMO Racing wheel for the game since I finally figured out what force feedback is after installing the wheel's drivers (:v:)
is the force feedback supposed to be quite choppy? like, when I turn the wheel, it feels like it's struggling to pull through something really chunky, when I'm just at a standstill
Probably to replicate the lack of power steering, sitting stationary will make steering a LOT harder, cause YOU are physically altering the direction the wheels point without any other force acting upon the, or aiding in the motion of turning.
In much the same way that turning with non power steering is much easier when in forward motion, due to the wheels rolling and able to turn into the direction you steer easier as opposed to just having nothing but stationary friction whilst you turn.
I just bought this game after seeing people online playing it.
I quickly figured out my initial position, and after consulting the map and finding the boat, set out to find the township's store on a quest for sausages and mosquito repellent.

I first came across the church, thinking it to be my salvation...

..when it undoubtedly was my grave.

With danger bars rising, I then found the store and picked up some items, only for the store clerk to shut the store the second I walked in front of him.

Thirst had snuck up on me, and I needed to get home. But, getting back in to the boat and flooring it caused me to jam it against the shore:

I tried pushing and hitting and swearing but the boat would not move, even though I flew up in the air one time while trying.

Finally, I was unstuck!

It was now a race against the dying light as I sped back to home, wondering why diving into the water didn't reduce dirtiness.

I was nearly halfway and decided to piss out of the boat in celebration, only for some of it to fly back and for me to discover it was drinkable.
1 second later, I keeled face down straight through the boat and onto the lake floor.

Lessons learned: don't go on a boating expedition late into the day without bringing some drinks with you!
If you go anywhere with out at least one case of beer, you're not being Finish enough for this game.
Was starting to put the suspension on my car and somehow flipped it onto the roof.

I'm more concerned about what's up with that dude's arm
I'm more concerned about what's up with that dude's arm
That's what all Finnish people's arms look like.
That's what all Finnish people's arms look like.
Yeah, it's like all americans being fat.
Okay I've just saw those UFOs. They were like three floating shining orbs that spinned in a circle and then spreaded out. Then saw another one on the other side of the lake, spooky.
welp, fuck me, finally got the satsuma going good, now it was just dented to shit, so after cruising about picking junk cars up for the mechanic, i'm on my way back hauling ass on the dirt roads, suddenly my truck just stops and I die.
also i havent done the whole back up thing, so gg.
I hate this game.

(late reply I know)
I think I should make it clear that the wheel simply just skips when I move it, it doesn't just have a lot of resistance
Got the car running moved it 20ft then the engine fell out.
Sounds about right. Next step is driving down the road and having the gearbox and the handbrake fall off.

For me it ejected the entire transmission because I didn't tighten down one of the three bolts holding the shift linkage in. :|
that's nothing, I lost my van. had to do like a dozen runs to the store with the boat
got in the thing, went to turn it on, the van disappeared and I died. it's nowhere to be found, checked the scrapyard and all around the house for it

managed to damage the roof while loading up some coolant too
[editline]28th October 2016[/editline]
the thing is great with the rally tires and a good alignment. doing 120 kph down a dirt road and it not be sketchy is pretty amazing
when I threw the stock tires back on to get an inspection though, that was a fucking nightmare. ended up losing a fender and the muffler on the way there so I ended up walking for 3 hours looking for the damn things
I lost my blue van as well, crashed into a tree off the highway and died. Have not seen it since. And I went to where I crashed. Going to try and use MSCeditor to re-spawn it.
man this game looks interesting, assembling the satsuma is going to be problematic for me bc i don't know how to build a car
how finnish is this game?

Don't really need to TBH.
But you MUST have a lot of patience, especially when you crash your van and die and have to start all over again
msc irl
He started with a twin barrel carb. Cheating bastard must be using a save editor.

Unless you play without permadeath.
But that takes the fun out of having the feeling of mortality looming over you.
I did a town-wide poop run and part way through this happened
[vid]https://streamable.com/s/6bmr2/flpeyv[/vid]
I was like this for the next 3 jobs.
So i just killed myself. Got out of the car to check the oil revved the engine via the cable but, forgot it was in gear. Car ran me over
