Only in the 1-on-1. You need the gamepad to Super Jump to teammates and use the Ink Rocket.
Have to use the Gamepad for the single player stuff. Pro controller is for the multiplayer.
Guys who have it early, please tell me if you can use other amiibo besides the Splatoon ones on Splatoon, and vice versa.

They already showed off a payload type game mode off.
My guess is there's going to be territories that take a long time to capture- and once captured rain of that teams paint starts falling making it impossible to steal, players will have to divide up and try to conquer areas while blocking the other team- and there's, let's say 7 points so stalemates can't happen.

Yes. You clear a handful of level challenges then get the boss stage. Clearing the boss gives you a gear piece. This goes up to the final boss.

Maybe it has something to do with taxes and donation systems. maybe also possibly different publishers in other countries? like in the past Steam had a Christmas achievement giveaway (vaguely remember it had something to do with Super Meat Boy and Bit.Trip Beat) and some of the games were easily buyable below 1 dollar, so they added the restriction for the codes.

It might also have to do with some games not being in other regions

I hope it means we're getting some Squid Girl acknowledgement in-game in the near future, but the twitter seems to suggest that this was an art collab between the concept artist for Splatoon and the manga writer for Squid Girl, with both appearing in Famitsu and the manga writer's art for the collab being these:
