I came across [URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfGMdoWLUAM"]this remix[/URL] and it kinda inspired me to find my old Donkey Kong stuff from when I was younger. I really liked the series back in the day.
I know it's not quite Donkey Kong Country, but you should give Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat a shot if you haven't. It's pretty similar to the Donkey Kong Country series but with some alternative collectathon elements and beat 'em up-style bosses (where the beat 'em up-style attacking was adopted into the DKC: Returns and Tropical Freeze as boss finishers).
Entire enemy team disconnected mid game, but the match still continues, so its now a 3 minute speed paint race between teammates for who can get the most points.
I have returned from the abyss simply to say how envious I am of you guys getting Splatoon. It is rare when I have actual, tangible envy for a game that isn't released on PC. This qualifies. I'd love for it to be on PC with a map editor and more community support, but such things are flights of fancy on my part.

EDIT: I actually looked on Craigslist and someone was selling a Wii U bundle for $120, but I both don't have $180 to throw around and I feel like it would end in me being stabbed.
So when exactly does it unlock? Can somebody make a countdown?

Jungle Beat is pretty fun, controlling with the bongos was an interesting way to play.
Speaking of the bongos, I kinda want a new Donkey Konga game. Donkey Konga 1 and 2 were some of my favorite games back in the day. Still play them every now and then.

Yeah I played it via bongos back in the day. Pretty fun game.
Played Splatoon for about an hour. I was giggling like a dumbass while playing it, woke up everyone in the house.
Coming into Splatoon not really having any expectations, I think it has lived up to the hype.
Really thought the rollers were going to be overpowered scrub weapons, but they can actually be kited pretty easily.
I'm going to keep an ear and eye out for the upcoming reception for Splatoon, been looking for an interesting new game to spend birthday money on but i'm a stingy bastard about $60 price tags due to Steam sales spoiling me.

I'm not sure about the US, but the store I went to yesterday had Splatoon bundled with the green squid amiibo for 50 euros.

Jesus, just won a Splatoon match. Final score was 44.3% to 44.2%. I knew it was close but not THAT close. This game can be pretty intense at times.
Would anyone happen to know if Splatoon will release at midnight here in AUS?
I'm assuming it will especially since US had a midnight release.
If I'm not mistaken Europe had a midnight release as well so I'm thinking that would be the case.

So I called the nearest Best Buy. They had [b]36 copies[/b].
They also still had 4 girl and 4 boy Amiibos, but I pre-ordered one from Amazon and now I can't cancel so I'll have to wait.

Probably more infos on the Championship, update on Amiibos and the next downloadable games.
From the looks of things its a Japan only direct, so it's probably gonna focus on Japan only releases, given that if they mentioned that kind of thing at E3 the international backlash would be gigantic.

Honestly debating opening this fella...
I got Splatoon a few hours ago and it's a blast. I didn't expect the singleplayer to be this good, it feels like a reverse Mario Sunshine. Wait, that's exactly what it is. Fuck.
You can't get much gear as the stocks changes on a daily basis and although I understand why, it bothers me a bit to wait so I can customize my player the way I want to. Guess it can't be helped, and besides most clothes are pretty good anyway.

This is probably my favorite track in the game. I just love the horns around the halfway part, so good.
