I used it up till like level 7 or so before finally settling on a different weapon. Even without the shield I have trouble going back to the Jr because of how terrible the range is.
Custom Splattershot Jr is my jam because of the Echolocator. Incredibly useful. Not sure what the sub weapon does though.

Must be the equipment abilities because I could still change into a squid when I was hit by it.
I'm a little bummed out that Color Lock doesn't allow you to lock the color of your choice but rather locks to (I think) complimentary colors instead of mixing them (so Blue/Orange, Green/Purple, etc).
I would have loved to keep painting the world in green.

I've played with them a fair bit and they're not as satisfying as the chargers. Every kill you get with a Charger is like WHAM. I kicked ass with the splat roller too but it wasn't as enjoyable. Also you should probably get some sleep it sounds like you've been playing for a really long time

As I emerge from my grotto of playing the story mode and amiibo missions on and off, I can assure you the amiibo are not only not worth their price tag, they're are mixed in difficulty. The boy's Roller challenges are hardly so, you can speed through most of them without even taking damage, since you can cover a lot of ground quickly. The squid's Kraken challenges aren't difficult either, it's basically akin to running through Mario levels with an infinite Star power. The limited ink challenges are a bit more difficult, since the ink does not reset when you die so you'll have to start the section or level all over again. Then you have the girl's Charger missions, which are the more difficult ones and if you truely feel content starved then find a way to get this one.
Also it's important to note that it was only the Americas that got fucked over, Europe and Japan got the game plus squid amiibo bundle, plus in Europe the game is not a full priced game, and if my memory serves me it's the price of the Captain Toad.
Alright, managed to reach level 10, enough squid for now.
How do people even get to level 20+ anyway? That's like hundreds of matches and we're only on the second day of release :v:

Nintendo really need to update their policy on pricing. Especially on older games.
But anyway, i'm still enjoying the heck out of Splatoon
Oh man. It's not fun to be pitched in with 3 rollers on your team.
And the Blaster shots don't explode on impact so you have be playing like Marth in Smash. Tip that shit. A little bummed but it's very powerful alongside the Disruptor that comes with it.
Anyone else got a match where they won by .1%? That was cool.

Nintendo finalized the design of the Classic Controller hoping that the Wii Remote clasp's design would be finalized soon after, but after about a year of testing and revisions they came to the conclusion that it would either be ineffective at holding a Wii Remote properly or it would be too bulky. They left the holes in there for 3rd parties to make their own, but I'm not sure if it's on the Classic Controller Pro.
Also it's apparently a shoelace in the picture, not the safety strap.

It was a new tech where you'd dash on the ground after going through a puddle of ink, quickly shoot below you, go into squid form and repeat.
This would allow you to get to places quicker without painting a large area in the early game.
No idea why it went private.
