A few pages back, someone wondered where's Devil's Third.
Here, have some of it from NoJ with Japanese release date.
Oh, it actually is that bad?
I mean, I'm not a fan of X's story, it's character designs, it's music, but at least the environment looks nice right?
The environments look nice, and the world is great. Just be ready for the fact you WILL be flying over the scenery to checkpoints and not exploring as much as you probably hoped.
I should dial it back honestly. It's not a bad game, it's just so mediocre when it should of been a home run.

But Arin sucks at videogames :v:

I would agree 100% but after seeing him play Bloodborne, Megaman X and a few other games, I can say he can play very well if he puts his heart into it and enjoys his time playing it. Same goes for other members of the Game Grumps/Steam Train.
I wouldn't be surprised if he outplays some of them if not most.
But yeah he does suck most of the time.

I think the only gameplay of his I've seen were wind waker and ocarina of time. And as I recall, he did very poorly with both.

He's still going to be crushed due to the fact he's facing against speedrunners.

You probably should never watch his Sequelitis video of Link to the Past vs. Ocarina of Time. At least when on Game Grumps, he has the excuse of trying to commentate alongside Danny and that mucks up his puzzle-solving and critical thinking. Sequelitis for those two games pretty much showed Arin doesn't know patience, can't tolerate waiting around because LttP let him get straight to the point while OoT takes its time and even flips out about the camera shifting to show you what's changed in a room.
Well, this is apparently a thing- ZombiU supposedly in development for XB1/PS4. Not really surprising to me, at least because Ubisoft is a piece of shit.
So it's pretty much the same story as Rayman Legends, only this time it will sell bad for sure.

Yeah they should have got JonTron.
Yeah they should have got JonTron.
Should've gotten both of them
imagine the drama

But if it sells like shit this time then they can't blame Nintendo.
But actually, considering every contestant besides Arin is either a speedrunner or someone who won their local Best Buy whatever, he's going to get smashed and it'll be hilarious

Y'know, I see this complaint all the time, but I honestly don't get it. I loved OoT as a kid, but now that I go to work and school I hate games that waste my time. I still like OoT but his complaints about it are completely valid, I think. It could have achieved all the same things without the extra time.

I feel like OoT gets a free pass with the quick cutscenes seeing as it was the first 3D Zelda and transitioning from 2D to 3D like this was a fucking massive leap forward, and getting lost because you don't realize what door you just unlocked would be a pretty huge pain in the ass.
Why the new Zeldas don't use some kinda screen-within-a-screen thing or something a little more elegant nowadays is pretty inexcusable though.

It's just sort of a tradeoff. With A Link Between Worlds, it's one of the snappiest and quickest LoZ games in ages with no weird movement and gameplay things wasting your time, and even the painting transformation is quick and efficient. But with just about every 3D Zelda game, now you're working in wider space with visible verticality, more complex rooms, full 3D - players won't see a gate opening on the other side of the room if the camera doesn't happen to be facing that way when the switch is hit.
It's handholding, but gameplay-wise it makes sense because of the complexities. The real problem is that the further you get into the series (until again, LBW kinda cut down on a lot of excess story), the more extensive the plots and the longer they take, which is probably an even stronger cause of holding the player down.
I wonder what Next Level Games is up to...
Their last release was Luigi's Mansion 2, IIRC

Maybe they revived that canned Metroid project of theirs.

They talked a while ago about a Punch-Out!! sequel where you can design your own custom opponents. I'm hoping for that, personally.
Now, sorry to ruin your exitement but

Well, this tweet clearly confirms that Retro Studios are making Shovel Knight 2.
And this tweet confirms an August 28 release for Devil's Third in Europe.

More like Shovel Knight x Drill Dozer x Dig Dug x TTGL
[sp]You would play it, you know you would.[/sp]
-snip-
Nintendo just confirmed a German release too.

Oh... I guess I shouldn't have skipped traveled on the video.
Okay, forget it. He's fucked. :v:
Hey guys! I bought a Wii U yesterday (which is my first Nintendo console since the SNES) together with Nintendo Land, Wind Waker HD and 50 € of eShop credit.
Are there any hidden gems in the shop you can recommend? I don't want to spend it all on one new game or on classic games. I'd rather have three to five games. So far I'm interested in Cubemen 2 and Tipping Stars but what else should I get?
Suggestions are much appreciated!

Shovel Knight
Tropical Freeze is great and goes on-sale for $30 or less sometimes.
