So we got Starfox and Paper Jam, the crossover I never knew I wanted. Awesome
A new zelda game and a new Fire Emblem. Sounds good for fans of the series.
We got Wooly World and Mario Maker... which we already knew about
We got... a bunch of anime games and a shitty metroid spinoff
And... that's it.
Absolutely [del]haram[/del] disappointing Nintendo, come on, you were doing so well with the Smash Direct and the NWC
WHY DID THEY FUCKING END WITH THAT OF ALL THINGS JESUS CHRIST
Star Fox, Paper Jam and Mario Maker were the only interesting things to me.
Fire Emblem I'm eh on, that Zelda 3 swords was alright, FExSMT is... anyway.
Already beat Xenoblade and it's not worth it's name and Wooly World showed nothing new. Nintendo how the fuck could you beef it.
I've legit been looking forward to this for weeks because of what I thought was coming.
They should have saved the Smash content for the main event, that was way too short.
Im fucking pissed. That was the worst E3 i have ever seen. Others may have fucked up but at least they had something exciting and worth showing. Unbelievable.
Everything besides Mario and Luigi and Starfox was pretty meh. Off with Sift's head! /s
I fucking deserve it. I've genuinely never felt this ashamed with myself in awhile. I'm genuinely sorry to this thread.

You beat the new one?
eh beyond the fire emblem stuff and maaaaybe the metroid game that was sort of underwhelming
You beat the new one?
Yeah, typed up my thoughts in the main thread.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was disappointed. There was not a damn thing for me to get excited about. I also really hate amiibo.
If that Animal Crossing party game had actual minigames I'd probably be more excited for it but... it just kinda looks boring as is.
[editline]16th June 2015[/editline]
God I'm a pit of self loathing right now fuck me
I think amiibos have crossed that fine line that it's been treading since they were first introduced
Starfox Zero: Excellent, I'm looking forward to that even though I've never played a Starfox game before.
Fire Emblem: It looks good enough. I'll get it if/when I beat Awakening. We already knew about it, though.
Mario Maker: Give it to me now! I need it!
Paper Jam: That looks like a creative idea, though I'm not very into the Mario RPGs.
Animal Crossing Amiibo Party: NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS! ABSOLUTELY NOBODY WANTED SOMETHING LIKE THAT!
Everything Else: Eh, whatever.
That was incredibly disappointing.
"Lets make everyone hype for an Animal Crossing on WiiU in HD... then make it into a board game!"
And Yu-Kai Watch was their ace in the hole? Really? It looks like Pokemon's doppelganger.
This was the worst E3 they've shown, rivaling 2008.
I'm legitimately surprised we got nothing about Pokemon Z/X2Y2.
That was incredibly disappointing.
I'm just in legitimate disbelief.
Nintendo didn't crash the hype train, they detonated a bomb on it.

Yeah, I guess the hype ran out after the two first events. But then again, what was there to show. Most games arrive next year and the most anticipated ones weren't shown. No info on FExSMT, only a release date for X, nothing new on Zelda U (that was already mentioned that it would not appear).
But then again, leaks destroyed a bit of the hype. Smash would have been destructive and the new Hyrule Warriors with the WW characters would have added a bit more.
Otherwise, nothing really. We know NX will be talked about next year and we will definitely get more Zelda U. Otherwise, it was mediocre because they didn't had much to show in the first place.
At least, I get to look forward to Paper Jam and Triforze Heroes. They look fun.
I wouldn't say this is the worst Nintendo E3 this year (we still have treehouse, some games we want to buy, and we didn't have a lot of self praising bullshit), but yeah it was pretty lame. Seems they want to push the NX next year and don't want to blow all their good games now, or something along those lines. Could have been better, could have been worse.
In good news, Platinum confirmed for being the devs behind Star Fox Zero! Hell yeah.
so that Splatoon thing was fake...I was hyped for that, but I knew Nintendo wouldn't acknowledge 3D Mario games. They never do. But the art was really convincing, whoever lied to Sift had talent at least.
I was dead sure that they shouldn't have done the Mini Direct in may and the Smash Direct, they should have packed everything in the same Direct, and I was right. And for god's sake if you're gonna do a 30th anniversary for Mario, make a real one. Mario Maker is great but it's not gonna cut it.
Why can't Nintendo just make a proper Metroid? I want an actual explanation. Metroid fucking Football would never sell as well as an actual Metroid game, I really don't know they're expecting out of this game.
I'm just completely confused and angry.
I dunno, I was satisfied with it. It wasn't mind-blowing, but they showed some good stuff. I'm gonna be happy for the next year.
People seem to be so polarized on stuff like FE and amiibo. Seems like you're either a huge fan or you FUCKING HATE IT WITH A SEETHING, ACIDIC RAGE. I'm a fan of both and I'm glad we have another amiibo-centric game coming to make better use of them.
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam looks fucking great. Probably my favorite new game shown.

miyamoto probably thinks that the wiiu and 3ds have the wrong type of controller
just like f-zero
metroid football woooooooooooo

Level 5 really wants Yokai Watch or whatever they're calling it over here to succeed, I think there's like 4 or 5 games out in Japan already.

Just use Metroid Prime Hunters controls, done, hire me Nintendo.
That new Zelda and M&L: Paper Jam look really good but the rest was stuff I already knew about or couldn't conceivably give a shit about
Yokai Watch in Japan is a actual pokemon killer in Japan as a aside. It's been crushing it over there for awhile now.
Biggest problem I see with it though is that it's based on Japanese myths and ghost stories- that's it's huge draw seeing as Japan has a shit ton of em. I highly doubt without heavy reworking American kids will understand 90% of the shit that's referred to in that game. (It may also be why the 3rd one is set in America).
There's also strangely dark jokes like Jibanyan (the cat) has reoccurring jokes about being hit by cars because that's how he died.
I don't understand the appeal of these Eastern games and why Nintendo thinks they will be smash hits over here in the West
Fire Emblem is the only one I could say is more Eastern-esque and popular here but if I were to bring it up to any of my less active gaming friends they would be completely clueless as to what it is
Why do they expect things like Xenoblade and Yoko Ono Watch or whatever to succeed over here?
Starfox Zero is just Starfox 2 with new stuff.
That's... Exactly what I wanted, actually.
Platinum Games is developing StarFox Zero
At least Kamiya finally got what he wanted.
I've wanted a Federation spinoff from Metroid for awhile, and while this isn't exactly what I wanted from said spinoff, better this than Other M 2 or "zero suit missions" or something.
I'm like the only one I know not angry about this.
