That was bad, I mean what the hell Nintendo? Oh well we still have Star Fox.
That "metroid" game they showed for 50 seconds was cringe worthy.
considering that smash direct and nwc are part of nintendo's e3, i still had a lot of fun just the digital event wasn't particulary interesting
I don't understand the appeal of these Eastern games and why Nintendo thinks they will be smash hits over here in the West Fire Emblem is the only one I could say is more Eastern-esque and popular here but if I were to bring it up to any of my less active gaming friends they would be completely clueless as to what it is Why do they expect things like Xenoblade and Yoko Ono Watch or whatever to succeed over here?
Xenoblade Chronicles (wii/3DS) was actually really amazing and loved.
I was so excited to see Animal Crossing Wii U, but it was just a weird amiibo-based board game. Shame.
I've wanted a Federation spinoff for Metroid for awhile, and while this isn't exactly what I wanted from said spinoff, better this than Other M 2 or "zero suit missions" or something. I'm like the only one I know not angry about this.
I'd be all for GF focussed Metroid game, if it were something like Rpublic Commando. But the chibi artstyle and fucking football makes me think this game is going to completely miss the tonal mark of the series and be vapid, very safe tripe. Essentially the Metroid nintendoland game made into a full thing of its own, which is something I definitely don't want.
But no seriously that walker form is straight out of Starfox 2
I am late.
just to clarify, there is going to be zero more things being announced from nintendo at e3?
just to clarify, there is going to be zero more things being announced from nintendo at e3?
they already announced starfox zero silly [sp]why was the direct so short holy shit they didn't even show the new PMD game[/sp]
It is kinda odd that the new Star Fox game is a prequel to Star Fox 64.
Nintendo went from having the strongest e3 conferences from previous years to almost the weakest this year, littered with disappointments.
It's strange how Fatal Frame, Devils third and so on weren't mentioned.
They spent like ten minutes talking about Yoshi's Woolly World, a game that we've known about forever and is going to be out really soon. I really don't see why they did that.
https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/610857794032566274 OH SHIT.
What did that tweet say?
It is kinda odd that the new Star Fox game is a prequel to Star Fox 64.
It's because they want to leave you-know-who out. SFA comes like two weeks after SF64 time-wise, so...
Just for the record blastball looks really lame and I can understand why you might be disappointed that we're not getting a full Wii-U metroidvania here but Nintendo's working on a lot of major AAA titles right now so I can understand that This isn't the worst thing we could've gotten, I figure
Nintendo went from having the strongest e3 conferences from previous years to almost the weakest this year, littered with disappointments.
I wouldn't rank them as weakest. They were weak, but Microsoft's was far more boring. Sony's was definitely the strongest, though. Even though Shenmue isn't actually a Sony thing.

The work was already there, it would not have been that hard to get a Metroid game out. Nintendo pretty clearly doesn't really give a shit about Metroid any more.
Nintendo pretty clearly doesn't really give a shit about Metroid any more.
Yeah well I thought they stopped caring about my favorite series and look where we are now holy shit Platinum thank you. [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] For reference the last Metroid game was half as long ago as the last Starfox.
If Star Fox Zero does well, perhaps Nintendo would let Platinum try their hand at another game involving G-Diffuser systems? And also has "Zero" in it's name?
You could say that this Nintendo E3 had...zero content
[t]http://i.imgur.com/7qM1eDV.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/wNzBaeC.jpg[/t] I really hope Nintendo is paying close attention to this.
It had content. Just not stuff that wow'd people or many new interesting info.
It's funny because you think Nintendo is paying attention
But no seriously that walker form is straight out of Starfox 2
I'm really glad they acknowledged that the game exists (existed?). Gives me hope for a future release.
they already announced starfox zero silly [sp]why was the direct so short holy shit they didn't even show the new PMD game[/sp]
the new Mystery Dungeon is actually on their E3 website. There's probably more reveals down the line.
I feel really bad for Metroid fans right now.
I'm really glad they acknowledged that the game exists (existed?). Gives me hope for a future release.
Judging from the levels and a boss this might be an outright reimagining of Starfox 2. Good to know Kamiya and I are in the same group on something, being among the extremely few to go out of their way to play that game.
I've always felt bad for Metroid fans, F-Zero fans, Star Fox. Nintendo has some IPs they just have no idea what to do with.
