You mean to tell me that you have footage to show us but you let Animal crossing party and Metroid ball get in its way?
Sorry guys im saucy as hell right now.
They also had a Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon English trailer with the coverart but didn't include that either and threw that up on the Youtube page. The Direct should have been an hour of trailers and stuff with the developer's commentary etc put up on the internet for those who want to look at that.
To the people confused as to why everyone is upset and disappointed, it's because very few games were announced, and the ones that were were by and large ones nobody asked for, like amiibo party or that metroid game.
Not to mention at least half the show was dedicated to games we already know a lot about and are coming out soon.
There was 10 minutes dedicated to a game coming out in a few months in NA, sooner in other countries, as well as a massive segment dedicated to Mario Maker, which we already know tons about and shouldn't be the centerpiece of a conference at an event usually dedicated to announcing new games.
I wouldn't call seven games "very few", but I will agree that all the time they spent on existing games was a bit of a waste. We know just about all there is to know about Yoshi's Woolly World; it didn't need yet another spot in a presentation. The Super Mario Maker stuff was cool, though, and they did announce new details about it (like the amiibo support). Just because you're not excited for it doesn't mean it was a waste. Its showing at NWC got me to hop on the hype train for it, now that I know its level maker isn't as restricted as I thought it would be.
I dunno, for me at least, the next year looks great. September in particular is going to be insane. There's so much coming out then from Nintendo and also MGSV.
I'd rather wait for a Zelda focused Direct then it being a 1 minute showcase in between Amiibo Party and Metroid.
Or they could of saved those two games for a rainy day and made Zelda huge.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/rkUnCEI.jpg[/t]
This is getting more negative feedback than that Sonic Boom sequel.
The Federation suck anyways
when do we play as anthony
Or they could of saved those two games for a rainy day and made Zelda huge.
They're electing to show it when they have no one to compete with. I'm surprised Nintendo still even honors E3, they've been doing great with just the directs the past couple years.

do you have source on that, or was it said during the Treehouse?
E3, aside from its consumer-oriented fascia, is a venue where companies try to woo investors for future projects. Nintendo... Hardly needs that with how much they've been stockpiling.
They don't NEED to go to E3, they just elect to because it's tradition at this point and people would be confused/angry if they didn't show.
One thing that really pisses me off is how they keep mentioning and honoring Mario anniversaries, yet they didn't care to mention other anniversaries like Mother's.
Oh, the Metroid game is from Next Level Games.
I too think E3 is a waste, since the rise of the internet and how easy it is for a developer or publisher to connect directly with the people who play the games they develop and publish, and skip the journalistic middleman entirely. I think Nintendo has the right idea with the Directs, they just need better connections with the fans who buy theirs games and give them what they want.

It's Zelda/Metroid all over again.
Oh, the Metroid game is from Next Level Games.
But they were working on a proper Metroid (or at least it seemed like it from the art), who told them to turn it into fucking football, I want to fight that person.

I'm still not really understanding the point of the digital event if you're just gonna upload everything
I'm just sort of surprised they didn't reveal Wolf or any character for us to wait on release for
We have nothing to look forward to in smash at the moment other than stages and it feels weird because we always had things to look forward to
One thing that really pisses me off is how they keep mentioning and honoring Mario anniversaries, yet they didn't care to mention other anniversaries like Mother's.
But we are getting MOther 1
Im fucking pissed. That was the worst E3 i have ever seen. Others may have fucked up but at least they had something exciting and worth showing. Unbelievable.
Jeez calm your tits, it wasn't the best e3 for sure but certainly not the worst. Do you remember the kinect era? Yeah, that was terrible not this.
Overall, it seemed pretty bland this year and the fact that I don't own a 3ds blows since most of it was focused on it, but we got star fox and the presentation was pretty cool.
Nintendo already released really great things this year so I really don't mind e3 being this mediocre

Content wise it was pretty disapointing. But at least it wasn't so cringe inducing.
I'm starting to feel like they revived NWC because they knew they'd come almost bare bones this year.
That and that Zelda Triforce Heroes game looks like a testing ground for new ideas... like the equipment with actual benefits other then breathing under water and fire resistance.

Sooooo why is this game called Metroid Prime: Federation Force? If it's not gonna' have anything to do with Phazon then there's really no need to have that subtitle in there.
One thing that really pisses me off is how they keep mentioning and honoring Mario anniversaries, yet they didn't care to mention other anniversaries like Mother's.
But they did.
I think their new game is actually the Metroid spinoff.
Next Level Games is making Federation Force, not Retro. These are the same guys that made Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

Because that's just become the name for the FPS Metroid games. Though it actually could have Phazon in it; we don't know anything about the actual story yet.
Metroid Prime Hunters already did this, though. Had nothing to do with Phazon or even Metroids but it was a Metroid Prime game.

Oh cool, I didn't know that. Honestly, that makes me excited for it. Luigi's Mansion 2 was really good.

I'm guessing because the gameplay is similar to the Prime series, rather than 2D vertical corridors.
"Prime" is the Metroid FPS moniker.
"Prime" is the Metroid FPS moniker.
I suppose, but it just bugs me 'cuz the subtitle itself is a reference to the primary antagonist of the series. Can't be a Prime game if it doesn't have anything to do with Metroid Prime (aka Dark Samus) or Phazon.
But they did.

Yeah but you already have Hunters, which has nothing to do with the entire title of Metroid Prime.

Shit, I totally forgot about that game lol
