Im kinda leaning towards getting a Wii U in the near future. I definitely wanna get Smash and Wind Waker HD. It's weird; I don't think of myself as a big nintendo fan, but all of the consoles I've owned are nintendo. I briefly owned a Gamecube, I had a Wii for the longest time, but never anything else other than my PC. Any suggestions as to which games I should get first?
Bayonetta 2
Hey if your gonna get smash, would you consider buying it from me? I have an extra sealed copy that i need to sell. I added you on steam to discuss more.
Cool! I probably wont be getting one until around summertime, since I just recently started working and haven't gotten my paycheck yet.

I'm glad it's selling well. This almost guarantees a sequel in the future.

Guess who's not leaving Kirby any time soon.
Kirby music either cheers me up by the happy cuteness or pumps me up by its awesomeness.

I'm okay with this. I like how the Kirby series is getting more recurring characters like Bandana Dee and Magolor, instead of the main three being the only ones to carry over between games.
Whats the next major Kirby-related project that we know of?
Whats the next major Kirby-related project that we know of?
About a year ago, some folks at HAL said they would love to make a 3D Kirby game. That was probably just idle talk, though. I don't think we know anything about the next game in the series.

With more [sp]shitty[/sp] anime kawaii-chan OCs.
[sp]I kid, Lana is the shit[/sp]
And I just remembered that Majora's DLC comes out next week.
Damn, time flies!
That's below the belt man.
You just had to remind me of the Dualshock 4's lack of analog buttons. And the 360 controller cutting it as well.
Really, once something is part of a control scheme, it needs to stay or get a functional equivalent - Otherwise there's messy situations like the control changes of MGS2/3 when ported to other platforms because they took full advantage of their native controllers.
It's believed that the 360 controller's pressure-sensitive dpad was a mistake, that they intended it to be for the face buttons.
So the latest Sonic Boom episode put in a tribute via a joke to the Infamous Knuckles Jumping Glitch in the show.
From the Episode's writer:

Then was the tweet a lie?
So if I get Super Metroid on Club Nintendo's offers right now, it's the Wii version for sure and not the Wii U version? Super Mario Bros. 2 shows Wii U on it, and I don't want to bother getting Super Metroid if I have to work with the hassle of the Wii Mode.

No its the WiiU version. It justt says Wii.
With boxed games like Smash Bros + Gamecube Adapter and Bayonetta, do you guys keep them in box or take them out and keep the boxes.

I can't help but keep the box. There's something neat about it.
(wind waker HD)
so like I have the two songs for the wind and earth, but I can't find the 2 sages [sp]birdgirl and makar[/sp]
I know that he's apparently meant to be past the one water fall that you grapple into but he wasn't there
[sp]bird girl[/sp] I don't even know how to find at all
is there a temple I have to go through? I hear there apparently is
just point on the map where I need to go for sage 1 and then sage 2, and where to go, and I'll be sane

You have to complete the Earth Temple first for Makar to appear inside the waterfall. You can find Medli at the Rito Post Office, go up the stairs to the second floor and out through the exit to the letter sorting mini game that leads to the higher up platforms that face out into the ocean, you should be able to hear her notes playing on the harp. Simply grapple across the gap and climb up a few more bits of mountain to find her. Play the song you learned at the entrance to the Earth Temple infront of Medli and that'll allow you to enter the first temple.

The girl is found on a peak outside. You need to use a door on the 2nd floor that exits in front of flying docks. It's on your right.
Sadly, you can't do the Wind Temple out of order. It's Earth first, Wind after so you won't find him behind the waterfall. There are music notes coming out and you'll hear a violin anyways.

Oh that explains it then
I LOVE my zelda games but stuff like that does bother me about them, it's kind of awkward at times
[editline]27th January 2015[/editline]
also, I love motion controls, is skyward sword right for me? and would Twilight princess be worth a wii playthrough and buy even after having beat it on the gamecube so many years back when it first came out?
I plan on doing SS, then TP after I beat WW
TP on GC all the way. It's just better.
Plus, TP Wii has awkward recognition of motions and it's not as free... moving. It's coded to play animations by how you move your wiimote, while Skyward actually follows and was build around it.
They are not as top notch as the Nintendo Land ones but I never had any problem to adapt to SS gameplay.

the Nintendo land zelda is great but it's just vertical / horizontal slashes, from what I understand SS is stabs, diagonal swings, and spins as well, and that's just great
There are diagonal slashes. Only stabs aren't coded in the Zelda Quest. It's pretty much an even more responsive version.
If rumors are true that Zelda U might get an option for Motion Controls (since Link is right handed the entire time we see him), they could have improved it. Sadly, I doubt many players will go for that option but I still welcome various ways to play a game.
Twilight Princess is better on Wii imo. Also bad opinion coming, skip Skyward Sword, the motion controls for that game are from Satan.

SS is very story-centric. From a mechanics and gameplay standard, it's alright, maybe a little gimmicky at times, but solid throughout. The sword-directional-slicing whatever might come off as annoying, but it actually brings a shade of depth to LoZ combat besides "wait for the enemy to drop their guard."
The story is very good however, with Link being the driving force behind the overall arc. The whole point of the game comes off as save Zelda first, Hyrule second. SS Link is very animated and driven by emotion, not like TP or OoT Link that just smile every now and again, but are otherwise unfeeling about their personal relationships.
Your companion Fi is annoying at times, being more robotic than human, but she serves a huge role in the story late into the game.
Also there's an entirely different inventory system, with a self-storage type of place in Skyloft. You can't carry all items or badges (+HP, +Attack, +Def, etc.) at once, and you need to plan for which items you think you'll need. The item upgrading process is wonderful, and really adds a sense of progression to your arsenal. Material collection, not so much. Mixing and creating more powerful potions is nice.
TL;DR: Story > gameplay, not entirely bad. Ignore the wierd lips and you're fine.
