Hey come on, cut the dude some slack. The only things he had to go on was a blue pig man and a thief.
He didn't seem to get the "blue pig man" right :v:
It kind of sucks how the best Zelda game adaptation, the Link's Awakening manga, isn't localised while all of the others are. I mean, almost all of the games get one volume and they're rushed as fuck. The List to the Past manga spends more time focusing on the author's original character do not steal than Link himself, while the Link's Awakening manga has two volumes and properly fleshes things out.
How does Wooly World compare to Yoshi's Island? Is it still tough? I've heard so many different things and I don't trust any of the big game sites.
I wouldn't say it's super challenging but it's certainly not too easy either, especially if you go for the secrets and unlock the special levels for each world which are much harder. It's hard for me to properly say though since I've been playing in co-op where dying isn't as much of a big deal as long as your co-op partner stays alive. There have been quite a few levels I've found difficult even with that so I imagine it'll provide a decent challenge in single player. Haven't gotten to the end of the game yet either so it'll no doubt get harder.

Woo, Ocarina of Time is coming to the Virtual Console in Europe! [editline]27th June 2015[/editline] I assume the FPS will be the same as the original release, and the game would have those weird lines. (This is on a CRT but it's pretty much the same on a HDTV) http://static.gamespot.com/uploads/original/1537/15379931/2452604-photo-85.jpg Tell me if I am wrong though, don't own any VC games on the Wii U.
I actually thought NSMB2 was pretty fun because of the coin motif, but I really can't get through NSMBWii or NSMBU.
NSMB2 is fine as an individual game. The flack it gets however is for utilizing almost only NSMBWii assets (with, what, two new songs present in the entire game and the same level tile assets?) and for coming out the same year as NSMBU, which also inexplicably uses NSMBWii's soundtrack (for the most part) to the dismay of many.

I can go hook up my N64 if there's a big mystery to solve, lol. But yeah VC will run it in 480p at the original framerate.

Adding to it too, the game is baby poop easy- Mario games are never ultra hard minus the bonus level but the game gives you a billion lives and doesn't try anything. I really hated that game personally.
Thats my problem with Mario games these days, they're piss easy.
Wahoo
I wish people would stop using sound effects from Super Mario 64. They're just outdated.
I wish people would stop using sound effects from Super Mario 64. They're just outdated.
The worst part above all is the bitrate compressed sounds mixed in with the other sounds If not for that I wouldn't mind it as much
Thats my problem with Mario games these days, they're piss easy.
Later levels in 3D World get really hard tho. Especially if you play coop.
Could've just used the Smash Bros. Melee sound effects since they're essentially the N64 sounds but just higher quality.
Can't wait for Yoshis Woolly World getting a 5/10 by Gamespot because it's "not Metroid"
I wish people would stop using sound effects from Super Mario 64. They're just outdated.
That's the best his voice has ever been though, everything after the N64 was too high, and for the last 6 years or so it just sounds so tired, like a quiet whimper instead of a full, hearty YAHOOO like it used to be. Anyway, the video is very clearly based directly on Super Mario 64, all the animations and his moveset are identical so it makes sense to keep the voice the same too.
They did it. 6/10 for Yoshi by Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/yoshi-s-woolly-world-review/1900-6416168/
Rob resisted playing The Witcher 3 just so he could review Woolly World for you. Please understand
This makes it sound like he was forced to play Yoshi. Oh Gamespot wtf is wrong with you.
Finally got it! [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/AagqgdG.jpg?1[/img_thumb] I'm actually kind of surprised I got it today.
I wish people would stop using sound effects from Super Mario 64. They're just outdated.
People use 'em because for many, it was their first 3D Mario game. In addition, a 64 remake in HD is both in demand (despite 64 DS existing) and easier to make look better than the original (whereas it'd take some artistic finesse to make a fan rendition of Sunshine look good due to water rendering).
Visuals won't impress anyone
Because they are totally not the appeal of the game? Oh yeah, i remember, they are the one of many who gave shit to Tropical Freeze for being ''Too Hard'' for them.
Nintendo didn't pay the required $770,000 for a score higher than 6. [editline]28th June 2015[/editline] No really, does ANYBODY take Gamespot seriously after all the bribery that's been exposed?
Finally got it! [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/AagqgdG.jpg?1[/img_thumb] I'm actually kind of surprised I got it today.
I still can't get over Peach's face on that box art [t]http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fantendo/images/2/26/Princess_Peach_Artwork_-_Super_Mario_3D_World.png/revision/latest?cb=20131025223422[/t] what is that expression

100%-ing Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, the game is so perfect it's not even funny. I'm frowning when I play the game now. No, really. It's probably one of my favorite Wii U games, if not my favorite.
They did it. 6/10 for Yoshi by Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/yoshi-s-woolly-world-review/1900-6416168/ This makes it sound like he was forced to play Yoshi. Oh Gamespot wtf is wrong with you.
They gave DKC Tropical Freeze a 6/10 as well, albeit it was a different reviewer who apparently is preferential to platformers yet thinks the game was boring as shite because it was unoriginal.
They did it. 6/10 for Yoshi by Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/yoshi-s-woolly-world-review/1900-6416168/ This makes it sound like he was forced to play Yoshi.
They did it. 6/10 for Yoshi by Gamespot http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/yoshi-s-woolly-world-review/1900-6416168/ This makes it sound like he was forced to play Yoshi. Oh Gamespot wtf is wrong with you.
If it makes you guys feel better, at least half the comments are calling Gamespot out on the Tropical Freeze review and their recent tendency to review games really harshly. It's good to see not everyone's taking them seriously.
I stopped giving a shit what GS says a long time ago.
I didn't even know Gamespot still existed
To be honest, their yarn games have been way too basic and easy. Kirby's epic yarn was so short, I beat it within a day. I disagree that the visuals are not impressive, but seriously, how many platformers can they make? Donkey Kong and Kirby were already released this year and the new mario game was created with a 2d platformer feel. The wii u doesn't need more platformers
