Twilight Princess is better on Wii imo. Also bad opinion coming, skip Skyward Sword, the motion controls for that game are from Satan.
Really? That's the first time I hear that... Now you got me curious on why so. [editline]t[/editline] Also, they are taking their sweet time with both Tingle and Young Link Trailers. I was expecting them a little sooner... I wanna see more kooli-fabulousness and more tiny badassery

Fi is dumbest thing in the world and the controls are soooooooo annoying. Fi actually one time killed me, i was walking though some quick sand and was almost all the way though and Fi fucking popped and said "hey look out my sensors say theres quick sand here" i died. Also the big doofy monster that comes out of the ground and you have to attack its toes is just ridiculous. I played Twilight Princess on launch day for the Wii and really liked the controls. It can be frustrated when riding Epona but overall it works.
My biggest gripe with Fi is literally stopping you from whatever you are doing and going "MASTER MASTER! THAT STUFF CAN DO THIS! DO IT!" Midna did something similar but only after cutscenes or when you clearly reach an obvious dialogue trigger. And Navi only notified you once with a "Hey." Fi will keep beeping until you push the damn button, especially the sensory stuff and tutorials. Other then that, she's alright.
Yeah, that's really the big grip in Skyward Sword. Waaay too much hand-holding for it's own good. It did had some fantastic moments, like the oh-so-satisfying Ancient Cistern boss battle. I did get stuck one point though because it slip my mind that you were able to run in sand and climb walls at the same time.
The only thing that stopped me from playing skyward was the stamina. It really annoyed me. But that is just me personally.
The only thing that stopped me from playing skyward was the stamina.
Nah. It was fine. I actually liked tons of ideas in the game. The upgrade shop, the potions effects, the RUNNING! I remember cheesing out the massive final confrontation [sp]The whole massive grunt fight, the Ghirahim and Demise[/sp] all in one go with a Guardian Potion+ with 2 potion badges. on my 3rd playthrough. 12 mins of God Mode. That was OP as fuck. I hope the good thing from SS come back for the next Zelda U or even the future ones after. Upgrading was fun and maybe we'll have crafting. I just hope to all that is deity out there that they fix the drop rate of treasures. Gold Skull (which are supposed to be rare) were common on all my plays while I had like 10 of the normal ones. It was frustrating to try and find those damn bastards...
TL;DR: Story > gameplay, not entirely bad. Ignore the wierd lips and you're fine.
I dunno, I found the story to be seriously lacking at a lot of points. Groose is a 10/10 character, don't get me wrong, and he redeems most of it for me, but some plot points really bothered me. [sp]They did not expand on Demise nearly enough. What is he? Why does he want to wage war on the Gods so bad? Did they do anything? I want to think he's more than evil "because he's just evil and a demon", but there's nothing that indicates otherwise. He's far too flat and boring of a villain to be the predecessor to Ganondorf, who possessed more substance by leaps and bounds. Impa bothered me too. Maybe I was just not in the mood to take shit, but I couldn't stand her berating Link for being "too slow" or whatever in the beginning of the game. As a player there's nothing I can do to speed the process up, or change the outcome, so I took it personally. Maybe I'm just butthurt, tho. Also, she vanishes into sparkly glitter at the end of the game and I don't know why. I was so confused.[/sp] Overall I'd say my opinion of the game is that it frustrates me. Not because it's bad, but because I found it to jackknife between "good" and "bad", on a dime. Like, there were some fantastic moments in that game, amazing design choices, great gameplay, and interesting story, but it also had some shit moments and points. It frustrates me because I can't decide if I like the game or not.
SS sucked because it was story first gameplay second and the story sucked ass. Groose funny as he is doesn't excuse all the "now I must test you" bullshit that happens at all times (Faron's the best. You save her like 2 times and she's still "iunno im gonna test ya again"). Then Ghiriham shits the bed after his first apperance. He shows up and is creepy and cool as hell, but after that every single appearance is "I should kill you right now... but I won't for no reason. Bye." Demise also sucks because aside from being fire akuma he has absolutely no depth and shows up in the last 10 seconds before fucking off forever. Gameplay aside sucked not only because almost no weapons were able to be used in a combat situation but because it was mostly Moblins and variations of Moblins and nothing else. All dungeons were filled with Moblins or Stalfos repainted to fit into the setting with very little actual variety. The only good part about the game is the timeshift stone things and the ancient cistern boss fights. I'll take my boxes from fanboys now.
[sp]Impa bothered me too. Maybe I was just not in the mood to take shit, but I couldn't stand her berating Link for being "too slow" or whatever in the beginning of the game. Also, she vanishes into sparkly glitter at the end of the game and I don't know why. I was so confused.[/sp]
It bothered me because by the time you meet her you literally just got on the ground. Impa going "Pft your a fake hero loser idiot" when Link has no idea what's going on at all other then "I wanna save that girl I like" feels super forced and stupid. As for the last thing you mentioned it makes no sense, just pretend it didn't happen. Best part of Skyward Sword is in Smash 4 theres a trophy of the old woman and it's entire description is along the lines of "A old woman found in the temple on the ground, she used to be a badass warrior in her youth who helped fight the forces of evil I wonder if there's a trophy in this game of this younger form???" and the trophy next in line is Impa's with what boils down to "I hope you figured it out by now"
Skyward Sword wasn't my thing. Long quests after quest without exploration was annoying, and the fact that they were essentially Mario 64 worlds rather than one connected world was boring. Zelda U and Xenoblade look great though.
Well hey I'm glad I'm finally seeing more people not like Skyward also.
Well hey I'm glad I'm finally seeing more people not like Skyward also.
Beside from the reviews when it first came out, Skyward Sword has had pretty lukewarm reception.
Who wants to see Young Link and Tingle stuff earlier? Young Link: [sp]All his weapon tiers are for the Fierce Deity form. Some stuff ripped showing off the weapons and FD having a bad day[/sp] Tingle: [sp]All his weapons are Balloons. Tier 3 is rupeeland. Tongle[/sp] Alt Costumes in the MM pack - [sp]Agitha - Don Gero's Mask Cia - Majora's Mask Darunia - Goron Mask Volga - Giant's Mask Fi - Stone Mask Ganondorf - Odolwa's Remains Ghirahim - Kamaro's Mask Impa - Mask of Truth Link - Fierce Deity's Mask Midna - A wooden shield Wizzro - Captain's Hat Ruto - Zora Mask Sheik - Kafei's Mask Lana - Deku Mask Zant - Circus Leader's Mask Zelda - Bunny Hood[/sp]
[sp] Darunia - Goron Mask Ruto - Zora Mask[/sp]
Whats the point :v: Also
[sp] Fi - Stone Mask[/sp]
Gave me a chuckle.
Whats the point :v:
They should've swapped the masks, that would've been funny.
Alt Costumes in the MM pack - [sp]Midna - A wooden shield[/sp]
It's like they ran out of ideas and threw in the first thing they could to reference [sp]TP[/sp]. Every other character at least makes some sort of sense or have a mask actually related to the DLC's content.
Would you guys sign a petition for a Four Swords Adventure Remake for Wii U and/or 3DS?
Would you guys sign a petition for a Four Swords Adventure Remake for Wii U and/or 3DS?
Fuck yes. FSA was fun on my own, but to get all the setting up for co-op was tough and expensive. Errybody got a 3DS now, so it's not as bad. [editline]28th January 2015[/editline] While we're at it, a Crystal Chronicles re-make would truly be a gift from god.
does anybody know if a gamecube adapter needs both USB ports on the wii u to function? I was looking at the mayflash one and realized I have a harddrive in one of the slots already (plugged into it through this for power) don't want to throw down $40 for something that ain't gonna work
Both wires are there for a reason. Your Wii U has 4 ports though, so unless I'm not understanding your situation too well, you should be fine.
Both wires are there for a reason. Your Wii U has 4 ports though, so unless I'm not understanding your situation too well, you should be fine.
haha I had assumed cause it only supports two harddrives it only had two ports like the wii, thanks

Wii U has been gaining momentum everywhere recently. Almost everyone I know is has one/is getting one/wants one. So many great titles have been released in the past few months from them along with the first DLCs worth a damn in a very long while. The future looks even brighter for the console, which is why I'm iffy on the whole "new hardware could be announced next year" thing.
[sp] Link - Fierce Deity's Mask [/sp]
Wasn't the [sp] Fierce Deity's Mask[/sp] Young Link's [sp]Gimmick[/sp]? Seems kinda unneeded to give Link it.
It's like they ran out of ideas and threw in the first thing they could to reference [sp]TP[/sp]. Every other character at least makes some sort of sense or have a mask actually related to the DLC's content.
I think it suits her very well. :v: But if we think about it, aside from the All-Night Mask, there isn't as much you can give her that would suit her. The Garo Mask could fit too. Sadly, they probably scrapped the idea due to obvious clipping issues. Great Fariy Mask with the pink hair rigged to her own hair? We're talking about the team that added Agitha and Tingle (amazing addition btw, chosen by a poll tho) to the roster.
Wasn't the [sp] Fierce Deity's Mask[/sp] Young Link's [sp]Gimmick[/sp]? Seems kinda unneeded to give Link it.
It is weird but again, it's a recurring theme. Tho, Young Link uses the mask, he already has one of his own, which is the Keaton Mask. [sp]Plus, Cia has the Majora's Mask while Lana has it on a full costume.[/sp] Skull Kid lost his gimmick to the Clawshot and the Great Fairy. And from the screenshots, Young Link (Deity Link form) has a move that can summons the Moon has well. RIP Skull Kid. You were never meant to be playable. All your tricks went away with your dreams.
the wonderful 101 super mario 3d world mario kart 8 monster hunter 3 ultimate donkey kong country: tropical freeze
what is tropical freeze like anyway? I've never played a DK game ever
what is tropical freeze like anyway? I've never played a DK game ever
its a side scroller it has a very nice tight feel your run to the mill platformer with special levels such as mine carts and other neat level types, this time round you select your partner eg:diddy can alow you to slow hover with his jet packs cranky can use his cane to bounce off dangerous obsticals etc. David wise the composer of the ones on snes is back which is very welcome he hasn't lost his touch in all these years so the music is incredible. the stills will probably give a better rundown then i have here but that's my jist of it
I was having an argument with my friend about the size of Zelda U's map- I think it's gonna be pretty big, but he says it's gonna be "decent, about the size of Shadow of Mordor." Now, I haven't played that game, but the internet tells me it's only twice the size of Arkham Origins. As someone who (reluctantly) played through that this winter, Zelda U seems a lot bigger than that. I wanna use Twilight Princess's size to compare (because we know there's an area in U the size of it), but I haven't played that game enough to know it's scale. For anyone who's played TP, how big would you say it's size be?
