Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda. I highly recommend it.
My favorite Zelda is The Thousand Year Door
I quite enjoy The Legend of Zelda: New Leaf
If you don't know how to do this stuff, I wouldn't risk it unless you REALLY don't wanna play Twilight Princess with motion controls lol. It's a fairly easy process, but it has its risks. I can help you out via Steam or PM or something if you want. Otherwise, don't risk it.
Whats Wii mode anyway? And it won't fuck up all the online stuff or anything? That would be awesome. I might send you a PM later.
Wii mode is a virtual Wii system separate from the Wii U's system. It's a virtual console.
Ok here's my Zelda tier list/guide/whatever this is: Unbeatable Classics That Stand Up Today: -Link to the Past -Wind Waker Very Damn Good Games: -Majora's Mask -Link Between Worlds -Oracle of Ages -Oracle of Seasons -Ocarina of Time Pretty Good Games: -Twilight Princess -Link's Awakening -Minish Cap Worth Playing for Educational Value: -Legend of Zelda -Zelda 2: Link's Adventure Shit Controls: -Phantom Hourglass -Spirit Tracks -Skyward Sword It's hard to rank any set of games objectively. Link Between Worlds is arguably just as good if not better than Link to the Past but it's also highly derivative of the previous games so LttP wins for being as good as it was with almost no precursor. Wind Waker is definitely the best 3D Zelda.
is the weight of a computer monitor totally OK for a wii u? padded by a book and plastic cases. not had any issues SO far at least for space saving reasons
Wii mode is a virtual Wii system separate from the Wii U's system. It's a virtual console.
I guess that's one way to explain it but it's not really accurate. The v in vWii does stand for virtual, but it's not like the virtual console whatsoever. vWii is basically a slightly modified version of the Wii OS running on an actual Wii processor inside the Wii U. This is how the Wii U achieves backwards compatibility with a near perfect compatibility rate (opposed to, say, the 360 which could emulate roughly half of the original Xbox's library). The Virtual Console, on the flip side, is an emulator. Obviously the Wii U doesn't have NES/SNES/etc CPUs internally.

OK Ray I just sent you a friggin wall of text about homebrewing :v: Hopefully it answers most of your questions. To recap you need the following things for general homebrewing: - Wii Remote (required for Wii mode) - Super Smash Brothers Brawl (required to use the exploit) - 2GB or under SD Card (required to load homebrew programs) For Nintendont (the GCN game loader) specifically you need: - Some sort of controller (official but incomplete list here) - USB storage device (flash drive, or an external HDD which may be overkill) All in all, assuming you have NONE of this stuff, you're probably looking at a price tag similar to a $60 game.
It did, thank you!
Here's the video as promised, ft. shitty phone camera because I couldn't be assed to set up my capture card.
You forgot the most important game. [t]http://i.imgur.com/YkiVU.png[/t]
There's also Link's Crossbow Training and the Four Swords games, but they don't really fit in anywhere. It'd be like including Mario Tennis in your best Mario games list.

I played it all through on single player and loved it. Only one of my friends had the link cable and Gameboy SP
I actually almost played Four Swords along with 3 other people a few years back, but then they educational stuff got in the way. Sadly.

It's a pretty long arcadey zelda. And if you somehow manage to amass 4 people the multiplayer is insane. (We had 4 vba instances across 2 monitors with dolphin as well and 4 gamecube controllers. It was awesome.)

[sp]That is, until one of the guys "accidentally" disconnected the GBA cable from their GBA on the final battle results screen, forcing them to redo the final level allll over again. They still haven't done that, to this day...[/sp]

Reactions on the show floor were great. The reaction to Metroid Federation Force has been positive. We didn't do anything wrong."

Even if it does nothing, he still has to do it.
This years E3 was bad but the thing is Nintendo can make up for it with an awesome Nintendo direct, so honestly it's not that big of a deal.
This years E3 was bad but the thing is Nintendo can make up for it with an awesome Nintendo direct, so honestly it's not that big of a deal.
And really, that's why Iwata's apologizing- they at Nintendo know the real damage control will be releasing a Direct that blows the E3 one out of the water, and anyone who was discouraged by their showing will get wowed (at the cost of their next E3 maybe not being so good).
Besides, they don't have to apologize, it's not like they did some grave mistake. It was mostly bad decisions and a lot of overreacting. They brought up the point that they had a lot of demos booths, and althought that is true and it definitely is a great point, I wish they would consider folks outside of America and release their demos on the eShop. I would've played the Dream Team demo for hours if I could back in 2013, the same goes for Paper Jam this year.
I don't think they had a good E3, but I bet the reaction against it is compounded with the fact that they had such a stellar showing last year.
Personally I think E3 is severely obsolete as far as the consumer side of the games industry goes. It's been growing more bloated and uninformative every year since halfway through the last gen. It's an investor-oriented showcase with consumer-oriented reporting. What it should be is an entirely investor-focused event, with the companies encouraged to show their upcoming products to consumers at their own pace throughout the year outside of it. Nintendo's got the right idea with the directs, now to wait for everyone else to catch on. [editline]7th July 2015[/editline] The old argument that E3 is the industry's primary hype generator falls flat when you consider how much hype even minor directs have stimulated in the past.
The old argument that E3 is the industry's primary hype generator falls flat when you consider how much hype even minor directs have stimulated in the past.
You're looking at it from a very Nintendo-oriented bias. The hype the directs generate has never matched the level of something like the reveal of Fallout 4 or the reveal of the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
You're looking at it from a very Nintendo-oriented bias. The hype the directs generate has never matched the level of something like the reveal of Fallout 4 or the reveal of the Final Fantasy VII Remake.
You're talking to someone who's hype as fuck for both of those things. My point is that console and game makers don't need E3 anymore, and they haven't since streaming video was first feasible. [editline]7th July 2015[/editline] As someone who is interested in all four fronts of home gaming, I would like to see everyone move away from the trade show format. This is 2015, we don't need to send journalists to a show so they can write biased articles and make wild claims we'll see in gaming magazines a week later, we can just watch it all ourselves as it happens. The only thing keeping it alive at this point is tradition, expectation.
