Are there any really good Wii U games out, digitally/physically? I've got Smash 4, Mario Kart 8, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Splatoon. I was thinking about getting Bayonetta 2 but I'm not much of a person who likes sitting in a room punching enemies down for a minute straight to go to the next room.
That description does not do Bayonetta justice at all, but whatever. The game you really need to buy is Shovel Knight.

Seriously, Bayo 1 and 2 are incredible, you're missing out by passing them up.

I guess I'll try it out for you guys and report back on it when I get it.

I thought Bayonetta 2 was just okay, personally. Better than the first but I'm not into DMC-type games.
There's also the Wii u version of Deus Ex human revolution, which is a pretty great game
Well here is an update about Devils Third NoA/Unseen64 Drama:
The Devil’s Third situation in North America has been a crazy one for sure. After no-showing at E3, we received information directly from Nintendo of America employees that the game wasn’t being published by them, which was then further implicated by Unseen64.net’s Liam and Siliconera. Shortly after Unseen64.net’s Liam made a YouTube video on the situation, Nintendo of America posted a Tweet saying that they were looking forward to sharing more information on Devil’s Third. So what exactly is happening? As many of our frequent readers may know, I (Shawn) am looking forward to Devil’s Third, as seen in some of my videos on our YouTube channel. I have constantly been digging for information on what the status of the game is in North America since it was absent at E3, and after talking with several sources close to the situation, I believe I have managed to figure a few things out. Classify this as a “rumor” of course, but I’m confident enough in my findings to share this information. devils-third-7 Allegedly, the reason Devil’s Third was not seen at E3 was because Nintendo of America did not plan on bringing this game to North America, which is the reason that both Europe and Japan got a release date but not North America. Wii U owners began to share their voice with Nintendo via Social Media (myself included) about what was happening with Devil’s Third. After the reaction to the speculation that Devil’s Third wasn’t coming to North America (or at least being published by Nintendo themselves), Nintendo realized that a lot of Wii U owners were looking forward to this game, and rightfully so, which caused them to re-address the situation and come out with the Tweet. Reportedly the main reason for Nintendo of America not being interested in the game is because of “quality” issues. To be fair however, Disaster: Day of Crisis had this same issue on the Wii (never releasing in North America) but was generally considered a solid, but not spectacular title. So did fan outcry help Nintendo of America realize that there is a want and desire for Devil’s Third in North America? According to my findings and research, yes it did. What ends up happening with the title as far as release dates in North America remain to be seen, but it has been a very interesting situation so far with, hopefully, a positive ending.
Looks like NoA has reconsidered publishing it because of the fan outcry that guy from Unseen64 caused.

watch NoA publish the game due to fan outcry, only to have it sell like shit and get critically panned everywhere :v: I'm sure it'll make them wary to listen to fan feedback in the future if such a thing happens

Well just look at LAST TIME we listened to fans nope, not happening"
I honestly don't get what the hubbub is about Mother 3. Yeah it was never officially released here, but it exists and there are high quality fan translations, right? What's the big deal? Plenty of games never make it over here.

I want to have faith in the game, but I have a really bad feeling things aren't going to go so well. On a different note if anyone wants to add me for some games my NNID is Bowserrocks. I play Smash & Mario Kart every now and then I and play Splatoon somewhat frequently.
yeah i'm in the middle of earthbound and intent on playing mother 3 .......but i'd really rather wait till an official release because i'm pedantic
I don't blame NoA for being scared of bringing Mother 3 to the west, there's a lot of weird shit in it. The Magypsies alone would probably cause the conservatives to come out of the woodworks crying the standard "corrupting our children" shit [sp]and that's not to mention the implied rape scene[/sp].

Doing a quick google search also comes up with nothing. [editline]15th July 2015[/editline] Are you talking about the hot spring scene where a Magypsie is on the other side of the spring and telling Lucas to endure his head underwater?
I've played the game 3-4 times and I have no idea what you're talking about with that spoiler. Ionia isn't standing near him though. Like it(???) even backs away before anything happens. It's a dumb joke that happens all the time in Japan (see DQ8's puff-puff scene for example)
I do believe their reasoning previously was something along the lines of "there are many aspects of the game which cannot be translated to an acceptable form for western audiences without drastic alteration to their content and context, and in some cases even the story itself"

"It happens all the time" is no excuse, sure the scene might not be [sp]literal rape[/sp] but the dialogue does have a very [sp]rapey[/sp] tone to it.
Magypsies are genderless anyway, so no rape is possible, sorry.
And I think either way it was more NoJ's reluctance than NoA's, at least in regards to content concerns. The "lost in translation" effect is up there too. There are certain scenes in the fan translation that seem quite dry, but in reality the team had to totally scrap a joke that only worked in japanese, or remove reference to something that makes very little sense to the average english speaker. They weren't as limited as NoA would likely be by censorship, but if they were, a LOT more things would've needed to be rewritten or paired down.
Magypsies are genderless anyway, so no rape is possible, sorry.
?????? I mean they're pretty clearly modeled after dudes in drag, there's no reason to assume they don't have sexual organs.
?????? I mean they're pretty clearly modeled after dudes in drag, there's no reason to assume they don't have sexual organs.
Doesn't Alec once says that they are neither male or female ? Could be wrong though.
Doesn't Alec once says that they are neither male or female ? Could be wrong though.
That could just mean they don't identify as either gender, biologically they could still be male or female. Who really knows though, you can't look up their skirt in game so this is all just speculative.

I think it would be looking at it too much at this point. My first instinct was just thinking of them as magical creatures resembling humans, explaining the lack of gender or something.
I dunno, crossdressing and transgender stuff is surprisingly common in Japanese media. Hell Birdo was originally transgender.
I dunno dude I think you're reaching a bit far with this "rape" interpretation. [editline].[/editline] What a great page king :v:
