Back on topic, I'm hesitant to play Super Mario 3D world as I feel it's better as a coop game? So I don't know whether I shouldn't play it unless I've got my friend over to coop with me, or if I should just go ahead and solo it.

Solo is fine for the most part though, there's a few levels where it's actually better to go solo though (namely anything with flip panels in it)

Holy crap, I somehow managed to make it to platinum status on Club Nintendo. There were like six games I completely forgot to register (among them two [I]DS[/I] games) , and they managed to put me over the top!
Now let's hope Club Nintendo's final platinum reward is something good.

Wii U bundles usually don't come with CN codes for the bundled games. Especially if the game is pre-installed to the console.

Games released after January 20 won't count for Club Nintendo. So SMG2 will get you coins because it came out two weeks ago, but not Punch-Out or Metroid.

The promotion ended last month. You can still redeem points for gift cards, but you can't earn points anymore.
