cmon do it its like the only mainstream horror game that hasn't lost its touch with age
[QUOTE=Fangz;47105727]So Nintendo tried to buy the game and film rights to Harry Potter in 1998:

The more I think about it, the more I think this would have been amazing for the game market side.
Idk why they'd want the movie license though.

They only wanted the game license.
I just tried to imagine Harry Potter in Smash Bros, but we already have Robin which is a lot like him.
The twlight map in Hyrule Warriors is a bitch. My level 100 link with a 5 star weapon hardly does any damage and takes 5 hearts when a simple enemy hits him.
They should have at least informed you that you need to be a high level to even tackle the DLC maps. I'm still under level to tackle the first mission in the Twilight Map.
I finally got club Nintendo to load, surfing the rewards.
I'm torn between KI:U, DKC:R3D, Sticker Star, or maybe some VC stuff?
Anyone have recommendations? I have 800 coins to play with.
Edit: KI:U Sounds really garbage to play left handed, even though it probably has lots of content.

Do you have defense badges? I haven't really had that problem and mines 110 and he only takes like a half heart from most stuff

KI:U is a fantastic game, but since your left-handed it might be better to use a Circle Pad Pro/New 3DS to enjoy it more.. or not, I don't know for lefties since I'm not one.
DCKR 3D is a great game if you like the old school Donkey Kong games. It's just as hard.
Sticker Star is good but if your expecting to be like Paper Mario 64 of the Thousand Year Old Door, then you'll be disappointing. It's also hard as in you have no idea where to go if you get lost.
did i miss out on the virtual console discussion???
i think nintendo really need to up their game VC wise. digital purchases are dodgy thanks to the weird account system, you have to pay to get wii u versions of games you bought on the wii or if you want them on both your 3ds and wii u, they don't have any kind of multiplayer in most cases etc.
if they went through with their plans to make closer OS's for their handheld and console successors (that iwata has mentioned a few times) i'd like to see stuff like being able to play gameboy games in multiplayer on the 4DS or whatever by 'faking' a link cable using wireless, or using the 4DS as a controller for a Wii U2, or having purchases linked to both systems, etc.
also where the fuck are the wii u n64 games, and why can't i use the tablet as a wii classic controller

where going so good till you brought up stickerstar
Sticker Star is a paper mario game in looks alone. It's had almost every drop of soul sucked from it and it's a game that actively punishes you for playing it.
Please don't buy it
I would recommend it if you were looking for a very simple turn based game (it's barely an RPG) and enjoy the Paper Mario ascetic. Its has pleasant visuals and a really good soundtrack. It's bad if you want something like 64 or TTYD, but after coming to appreciate Super it doesn't seem all that bad.
If yo do want to experience Paper Mario: Sticker Star, get it if it goes on sale for less than $20.
I picked it up second hand and quite cheap (£10). I will say it certainly isn't worth full price, just due to the simplicity of the game.
I forgot I preordered a Toon Link Amiibo and Amazon sent me an email saying, "Hey we charged you, this thing will be there Thursday." I get my Amiibo, then I get a new3DS and then Majora's Mask. This week is going to be good.
Okay, so sticker star *is* that bad. I'd heard it wasn't great, but I figured it was still Paper Mario.
Going to grab Kid Icarus with coins and hope it's not too awkward to play.
Probably grab Golden Sun and DKCR with real dollars down the road.

And that's such a shame too, that soundtrack is so snazzy.
So nintendo added those wii games to the eshop, like metroid and punch out and galaxy. Now, were those the only three wii games and that was it, or have they been adding more games every week like they said and I just can't find any information on them anywhere?

So that's what happened to the Mingy Jongo project.
Kanjo and Bazooie: Project Ukulele
oh god yes i will be keeping a very very close eye on this
Looks like it's going to be a dino instead of a bear.
Hopefully, this project will be finished and released.
This news makes me incredibly happy, Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie were my all-time favorites from my childhood and I still consider them to be in my top 5 to this day.

I wonder if they're going to get Grant Kirkhope to do the music.

i think he was mentioned being there somewhere in the article that would be the icing on the cake
If the past GDQ events have been anything to go by, Grant Kirkhope has stated that he would love to get the team back together to properly finish the series. I'm rather optimistic that he'll show up for this project.
Is it just me, or are indie development studios starting a trend of reviving the classics (and their genres) in new IPs?
We have Mighty No. 9 to look forward to this year, by "Comcept", produced by Keiji Infune of Classic Mega-Man fame.
We just saw Shovel Knight last year, and hopefully we'll see "Project Ukelele" come to life next year.
I'm kinda excited, as a child growing up with an N64, somehow I never got to experience Banjo & Kazooie, but I know I would have loved it and the sequel.

Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie is on my top 10 games of all time. Needless to say I'm pretty hype.
