So did any of you guys bought the Wii U Wired Fight Pad? This thing: [T]http://www.slashgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/PDP-Wired-Fight-Pad-for-Wii-U-Mario_01.jpg[/T] If so, what's your opinion on it?
I got this for Christmas alongside Smash 4 Wii U because there were just absolutely no Gamecube Adapters. It.. works. It's definitely not a GC controller, it's definitely nowhere near on-par, especially since as a Classic Controller it has the problem of being tangled to a Wiimote. But if you can't find any adapters, then it's functional for what it does and has the bonus of still being usable with Wii and Wii U games that support the Classic.
Why doesn't the Wii U have themes like the 3ds yet?
Why doesn't the Wii U have themes like the 3ds yet?
Nobody shares handhelds, that's why themes make sense most on 3DS.
The Wii U has a profile system. You can set a theme to each profile.
I wish they'd offer clay as one of the skins in Mario Maker.
Mario Maker is honestly one of the games I am most hyped for. The more content for it the better. (Still hoping for SMB2, Yoshi's Island and some more enemy options from SMB3 and SMW, maybe SML and SML2 as well) [sp]Not going to happen but I really, really, REALLY want there to be an in-depth script editor mode for modifying AI or a file importer. I'd use it for years.[/sp]
I just personally hope that the game has something of a single-player mode, maybe use Wart as an antagonist just to justify player-made content whilst keeping the trippy dream schtick. supposedly they had the idea for Mario Maker when they were finished between NES remix 1 and 2. would seem like a Super Meat Boy-esque way of having characters like Zelda 1 Link, Z2 Link and Samus. Heck, even Jumpman Mario could be a Tofu Boy-esque character who would have heavily reduced gravity manipulation in jumps, possibly with slipperiness even more than Luigi. his walk speed is SMB Mario runspeed whilst running would probably be double of SMB Mario's? something to give a little wackyness like that narrow mushroom.
I had a dream last night that they announced F-Zero UX, with the emphasized feature being 30-player online races, and the ability to build your own machine with your Mii as the pilot. I will now be incredibly disappointed if this doesn't happen.
If F-Zero ever exist again, I want the good old Rock-style music from F-Zero X, even though GX's soundtrack was great.
you know how we ended up getting Ruby Sapphire and Majoras Mask remakes from relentless begging also worked with Starfox now that i think about it, F-Zero fans you know what we need to do
Only F-Zero would have death metal as a main menu theme. I'd definitely be all for bringing back the musical direction of X.

Is people nagging really the reason that ORAS was made?
I want to believe it is
ORAS was just inevitable. Gamefreak is following a pattern, when the next Nintendo handheld comes out, we can expect to see Diamond and Pearl 2: Electric Boogaloo. And people will still buy it, including me.
Well, they were following a pattern. They broke it with Gen. 5. FR/LG on GBA, HG/SS on DS, OR/AS on 3DS, ED/LP on whatever system comes next.
N3DS? Please?
There wasn't one on the DSi, or the GBASP, so I kinda doubt it. Hardware iterations of the same system are skipped.
There wasn't one on the DSi, or the GBASP, so I kinda doubt it. Hardware iterations of the same system are skipped.
But what is the logical next step for the Nintendo handheld? The 3DS is already pretty beefy, and what would they call the next one?
But what is the logical next step for the Nintendo handheld? The 3DS is already pretty beefy, and what would they call the next one?
New 3DSU
But what is the logical next step for the Nintendo handheld? The 3DS is already pretty beefy, and what would they call the next one?
The DS Advance. Slightly better hardware, higher resolution screens, internet browser on par with 2010-era desktop PCs, and still no online account system.
But what is the logical next step for the Nintendo handheld? The 3DS is already pretty beefy, and what would they call the next one?
The New 3DS now has pretty much the same specs as the Vita which came out the same time as the 3DS. Its not really beefy just now upgraded compared to what we had. Which is what we should of gotten in the first place.
Thing is, it might have cost twice as much had it been released when the original 3DS was. A lot of the tech it uses only got cheap and accessible enough to match the old system's launch price a year or two ago. Would you have bought the 3DS at launch if it was $400+? Even if it was basically just the n3DS?
Is the wii u fan supposed to be loud? I played my wii u today after an extended period of not playing it and I honestly can't remember if the fan used to be that loud before or not.
No, the pattern is one remake per handheld since the GBA. FR/LG on GBA, HG/SS on DS, OR/AS on 3DS, ED/LP on whatever system comes next.
...Which was also one generation per handheld. Again, broken by Gen. 5. GB/GBC for RBY and GSC is debatable.
...Which was also one generation per handheld. Again, broken by Gen. 5. GB/GBC for RBY and GSC is debatable.
While the one gen per handheld pattern was dropped with fifth gen, there's still the pattern of one remake per system, and it's done that way almost intentionally, at least from my point of view. R/B(G) remakes were made for GBA because there was no way to trade up from R/B/Y & G/S/C to R/S/E, making gen one and some gen two pokemon more readily available. Same thing could be said for HG/SS: You couldn't trade G/S/C to the more modern games. OR/AS is kind of the same way, while it is possible to trade from R/S/E all the way to one of the more recent there's the wall that is PokeBank (which I still think is a dumb idea, but it's whatever). These remakes basically do two things: Gives Gamefreak loads of money, and maintains the overall goal of the pokemon games (To Catch 'Em All) without forcing people to go grab the original games and trade up.

My Wii-U's fan is pretty damn quiet, even after extended use. The disc drive is a bit louder in comparison, although I've got my console placed on a bit of flexible packing foam. That really helps to eliminate any major noise from the drive.
Mine sits on the box it came in (an amazon box three times the size of the Wii U's box) and it's utterly quiet. Even in the living room, it's quiet. My video card is louder then the Wii U, then again, it's a big video card. My 360 was obnoxiously loud compared to the Wii U.
My Wii U is a fair bit louder than my pc
