So I finally just gave up beating around the bush about the price tag, and bought a WiiU Pro Controller. I haven't even played anything with it, but holy crap, it's literally the most comfortable controller I've ever held.
So Angry Joe got a Wii U and then got flagged by Nintendo when he tried to upload footage:
I get the feeling that is Youtube's fault and not Nintendo.
Doesn't Nintendo have a colorful history of targeting youtube videos with their stuff in it?
Doesn't Nintendo have a colorful history of targeting youtube videos with their stuff in it?
I think it's only towards people that monetize their videos, like Angry Joe. And that started only in like, early/mid 2014 I think.
Splatoon looks like 'having fun' was the very central mechanic of every part of the game.
Are there games that don't focus on having fun? :v:
Are there games that don't focus on having fun? :v:
Depends on the tone of the game. The last of us for example is a fun game to play, but you aren't going to be whooping it up like Mario while doing it. Same with the walking dead games.
Are there games that don't focus on having fun? :v:
you would have to look for David cages Games for that
Oh well, Lana is Skull Kid now! [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/lana_mp_b.jpg[/t] Here's the other two costumes and an interesting map with a new mechanic... [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/impa_mp_b.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/shiek_mp_b.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/0129_ss05_b.jpg[/t] There's a clock at the bottom. Maybe you'll have to reset the clock with an item and it might indicate how many missions you do before the moon crashes? (Also, don't might the S rank. I think it's the JP version that has that instead of A) OH! And this. [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/0129_ss06_b.jpg[/t]
I'm a idiot. Was about to go "Hey I already posted those" when I realized I had them all saved, links ready... then forgot to hit submit :v: GREAT JOB ME.
Oh well, Lana is Skull Kid now! [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/lana_mp_b.jpg[/t]
The least they could do is have her wear the actual mask.
Oh well, Lana is Skull Kid now! [t]http://www.gamecity.ne.jp/zelda/update_dlc/lana_mp_b.jpg[/t]
Damn it's even worse than I thought. At least the adventure map gimmick seems fun. My guess is that the statues either save your progress and reset the clock, or allow you to TP there.
It's pretty obvious that it was going to be Lana's costume due solely to the fact that she has the Deku Stick
Man they really want people to like their shitty waifu OC.
probs cause lana owns
Lana is shit tier.
And another prob, there are people liking her a lot, alongside Dynasty Warriors Boobage Cia. They do clash with the other characters but again, all original in the game kinda stand out from the crowd as signatures from the Warriors Team. Looking at Cia and Volga, they clearly are inspired by Dynasty character. Hell, Volga has a Lu Bu inspired costume (standard Twilight outfit), which is the biggest staple of the series. And all of them are pretty cool to play as.
I can't wait to have the same "z-zelda isn't anime!!!" discussion again from dumb idiots who are wrong. Farrrt
What if I don't have a problem with the anime influence? What if I think she's just shit? Her character design is shit. Her personality is shit. Her story in the game is shit. She's pretty shit.
What if I don't have a problem with the anime influence? What if I think she's just shit?

Farrrt

it's on sale so it's $9.99, regularly it's $19.99
jeeze usually $20? should be $10 forever.
jeeze usually $20? should be $10 forever.
Compared to what the games sell for used at GameStop $20 is a decent price.
What if I don't have a problem with the anime influence? What if I think she's just shit? Her character design is shit. Her personality is shit. Her story in the game is shit. She's pretty shit.
Good enough of a reason for me. Lots of people like her, some don't mind and others hate her like the plague. That's pretty much the same pattern with anything in life really.
I hated her from the start but then I actually played her and thought she was ok. But to give her the Skull Mask is an insult
I hated her from the start but then I actually played her and thought she was ok. But to give her the Skull Mask is an insult
It feels like they're going "Hey guys! Look! A Skull Kid outfit! She's not that bad! Please use Lana! Please like Lana!"
If they were so dead set on making Skull Kid a costume instead of a Playable character like he should be, they could of at least made it for a Villain character. Hell if we couldn't get Skull Kid playable, At least the mask should have been a weapon for Cia giving her the power of Majora's Mask. I don't know about anyone else, when I hear Majora's Mask I think Skull Kid and the Mask, Not Tingle.
It feels like they're going "Hey guys! Look! A Skull Kid outfit! She's not that bad! Please use Lana! Please like Lana!"
Not really. It's more like "hey lana has the only deku weapon. The thing that's assigned to Skull Kid. She should probably have it." The only other person I could see getting it is Link and I'd rather him not get ANOTHER thing. Speaking of which I've had this slow realization that I might hate Zelda games and I'm not sure how to reverse it. Wind Waker was the last one that I really really liked and the more I see of link in smash the more I find myself wondering why I liked the staples of the games. How should I fix this or should I just accept that the series may no longer be for me? TP, to me personally, was a okay game at best. To me it was large empty and lifeless even moreso than wind waker. I felt like most of the items were complete trash outside their respective dungeons, I felt the story shit the bed at the end (they ruined Zant. Nothing with argue against that to me) and it was just dull. The washed out colors was just ugly. SS was a trainwreck that ruined it's cool villain halfway into the story instead of the very end, none of the enemies were any fun to fight after they were initially introduced and the only good boss was the one in that hindu temple. I don't buy Zelda games for the combat (at least alone) so having next to no real puzzles was a huge step down. The fact that the game would show you a puzzle, then two steps away have the solution written on a stone slab or something is stupid. (I examine everything so perhaps that's my fault but it's still stupid). It felt like a game being made by 3 different teams and they all hated each other. The time stone/sandship sections were pretty damn cool but everything else was completely forgettable or completely laughable in how terrible they are. (You save Faron like twice, and then she has the guts to go "I'm not sure if you're the reeeal hero so here's a 3rd test). At least LBW is good... except it wasn't to me either. I was fine with the mostly similar/same map but the dungeons were all unforgivably easy and I love the item rental system in concept but I think it ruined the games difficulty. Instead of things ever ramping up it felt like the dungeons got slightly harder in Lorule, then stopped instantly. Finishing Turtle Rock in 3-4 minutes and only having like 7 rooms is terrible. The only dungeon I remember liking was the ice one because it felt like it had the designers in the room for more than 10 minutes. Now that it's going open world I'm having a hard time mustering the energy to get excited because I'm afraid it's going to be even more unfocused just so it can cash in on the craze of "you see that mountain? You can climb that mountain" skyrim type things. I want to love this franchise and annoyed when I see "lol it's just the zelda cycle" because no, that doesn't invalidate criticism or problems with past games. I also say this fully well expecting to be dumbed because facepunch hates discussing things but- hey if you wanna talk about it would appreciate it. Maybe it'll help fix my thinking on the franchise as I think it's gotten stale personally. I don't know about anyone else, when I hear Majora's Mask I think Skull Kid and the Mask, Not Tingle.
Problem with that being the fact skullkid is a lame dumb butt who does exactly one thing. I love him as a character but in game all he did was pull down the moon. In Hyrule Warriors the hookshot powerup has you pull down tiny moons, the great fairy's musou is pulling down the real moon, and in the story mode you pull it down to hit Argarok. His gimmick has been beaten to death already and there's not much he could do. It's pushing it that he's once again pulling down the moon in Young Link's musou but at least it seems like it might be a LITTLE different. (Though I fully agree that he pops to mind when MM is mentioned) ((Majora's Wrath or something on the otherhand I could see working but probably is pretty low due to it's design)) Tingle has his own line of games and has spawned from MM. Him getting in wasn't a surprise in the slightest, though he seems to be based only on his own games then MM and that's my only real problem (all his promo art is recreations of Rupeeland art). Possible characters that would be original and own: Kafei, The Deku Princess/Butler, Igos du Ikana
Well the mask has all sorts of dark powers they could have used with Skull Kid. They even could have used Majora's final form as a character.
