How long until Nintendo (hopefully) buys them?

But then they announce that they are teaming up with Nintendo again to make a new F-Zero.
this is probably well known by now but the studio that made GX has been dissolved since forever, so either sega wouldn't work on it or it wouldn't be as good
it's a bit sad. franchises without a 'prime' studio can take years to pop up in anything. yoshi's been relying on artoon shoveling out awful Yoshi's Island imitators and maybe with goodfeel working on woolly world we'll get a good yoshi game (they did the same thing for Wario Land).

It'd be funny if that happened because then Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem would be a crossover between first-party IPs.

Mario Kart 8 X Legend of Zelda/Animal Crossing would like a word with you.

Sonic All Stars Racing is probably the best kart game I've ever played that wasn't Mario Kart.
[editline]18th April 2015[/editline]
Speaking of Mario Kart 8 what I want in DLC 2 is some fucking actual Battle Mode maps so Battle Mode won't suck shit anymore.
Just got Earthbound and DK64
Which do I play first?
Heart for EB, Zing for DK64

It's hard to really vote for either because they're very different games that require different moodsets.
Do you want to play a quirky and off-the-wall RPG that will take some time to complete, or do you want to play a self-aware collectathon platformer that has the DK Rap for an intro?
Just got Earthbound and DK64

EB if you want to play a good game, DK if you hate yourself

Well it really depends, they're different game all-together, so if you want to expand your mind, go for earthbound, or if you want to expand your dong, go for DK64.
Started EB
It's slow and strange and I'm not sure I like it

considering their luck lately I'd say it's more sighing and letting the grave digging take a break for the moment

actually saying that just now is really depressing
man sega could have been so much more :(

Give it a bit, it's got a pretty slow start.
Admittidly the gameplay remains simple all the way through but the reason people usually stick with it is because of how strange it gets.

You should really try to play the first game first. The ending makes a lot less sense if you haven't.

That was me and my sister's favorite track back in Double Dash! It was so small and chaotic! Hnng, nostalgia.

I'd say hold onto the excitement till we get a chance to play it. They added barriers in the middle so items can't zip across randomly anymore- that and the lack of giant items has me worried.

200cc was proof that it was a good addition to MK8.

Sorry, that looked really lame to me. There was one shell and one banana and that's about it. It's a much, much less interesting Excitebike arena now
His opponents were CPU too. Now, with players it will definitely be different.
Quite a shame that 200cc doesn't put items on Frantic. That would spice the mode up.
And thats why Double Dash will always be my favorite and is the best Mario Kart. Each character has there own special items.
And thats why Double Dash will always be my favorite and is the best Mario Kart. Each character has there own special items.
It's a shame that in that game the special items are either way too fucking good or way too fucking bad.
Giant and Specials were really a good addition. Would have been nice to have them back.
Would be a nice thing to have Doubles back as an option in the next MK. You can hold two items but it changes the stats drastically depending on who you have or rare items would not appear as often with a team.
Not sure if it could work but Specials were really cool. As for Miis, it could be the same for all or use other characters Specials depending on their color.
It's a shame that in that game the special items are either way too fucking good or way too fucking bad.
More like it's a shame that they basically made King Boo and Petey Piranha broken by having access to any special.
[sp]Although any good Toad, Toadette, Baby Mario or Baby Luigi player will be hardpressed to actually get their special unless they are having a rough day.[/sp]
[sp]Egg will forever be the most broken Mario Kart item by allowing you to consistently get stars in first, especially if you combined it with Peach or Daisy's hearts to pick up the star and save it for later.[/sp]

Whoops.
:v:
Double Dash in general felt like a "good ideas terrible execution" game to me. I wish I could remember it as fondly as others do.
Special items were either absolutely amazing or completely terrible and seeing as you couldn't pick which special you get it involved me and a few friends fighting over who got the best items. "Dammit I'm stuck with triple green shells as my special, ugh." etc. It really wasn't fun getting locked out of the overpowered stuff just because someone got to a character first.
Then actually getting hit in races punishing you twice. If you got hit by a red shell you'd flip and come to a stop like normal... then you'd spend the next 10 seconds dragging your partner behind the kart which slowed you down further and if I recall kept you from using any items. It punishes you for things largely out of your control in 3 different ways at once.
There's a couple other things but those are mainly what make me not go DOUBLE DASH IS THE BEST SHUT UP like I see a lot of people. Ironically I felt Babby Park was one of the only maps that handled my second complaint in a good fashion as no one was safe and everyone was eating shit all the time so it's not like it was too much of a hindrance.
