Not really. It's more like "hey lana has the only deku weapon. The thing that's assigned to Skull Kid. She should probably have it." The only other person I could see getting it is Link and I'd rather him not get ANOTHER thing. Speaking of which I've had this slow realization that I might hate Zelda games and I'm not sure how to reverse it. Wind Waker was the last one that I really really liked and the more I see of link in smash the more I find myself wondering why I liked the staples of the games. How should I fix this or should I just accept that the series may no longer be for me? TP, to me personally, was a okay game at best. To me it was large empty and lifeless even moreso than wind waker. I felt like most of the items were complete trash outside their respective dungeons, I felt the story shit the bed at the end (they ruined Zant. Nothing with argue against that to me) and it was just dull. The washed out colors was just ugly. SS was a trainwreck that ruined it's cool villain halfway into the story instead of the very end, none of the enemies were any fun to fight after they were initially introduced and the only good boss was the one in that hindu temple. I don't buy Zelda games for the combat (at least alone) so having next to no real puzzles was a huge step down. The fact that the game would show you a puzzle, then two steps away have the solution written on a stone slab or something is stupid. (I examine everything so perhaps that's my fault but it's still stupid). It felt like a game being made by 3 different teams and they all hated each other. The time stone/sandship sections were pretty damn cool but everything else was completely forgettable or completely laughable in how terrible they are. (You save Faron like twice, and then she has the guts to go "I'm not sure if you're the reeeal hero so here's a 3rd test). At least LBW is good... except it wasn't to me either. I was fine with the mostly similar/same map but the dungeons were all unforgivably easy and I love the item rental system in concept but I think it ruined the games difficulty. Instead of things ever ramping up it felt like the dungeons got slightly harder in Lorule, then stopped instantly. Finishing Turtle Rock in 3-4 minutes and only having like 7 rooms is terrible. The only dungeon I remember liking was the ice one because it felt like it had the designers in the room for more than 10 minutes.
I'm almost completely in agreement. TP was rather lifeless and literally darker and muddier, but it still has fun dungeons and items, as well as a decently good story, and is worth playing again. SS however was a one shot deal for me. It was so pathetically easy that I didn't die a single time or even lose half my health. The controls were decent but I would prefer buttons, but that doesn't really mean i'm bashing the game because that part is just what I like, buying the gamecube version of TP and all. Anyways, the puzzles are absolute no brainers because they totally just tell you how to do everything right there. The story had some decent potential, but with the endless boss refights, Ghirahim being a pathetic excuse for a villain, and the main antagonist had absolutely no presence until the very end lead to it being very forgettable. Add in the sky world completely being devoid of content and it makes SS the Zelda i'm least likely to replay.
Well the mask has all sorts of dark powers they could have used with Skull Kid. They even could have used Majora's final form as a character.
Yeah Majora's Wrath. Mentioned him. Thinking on it now MW danced and moonwalked and was goofy... I wonder who else dances and acts goofy...................
Wasn't sure of its name. Its been awhile since I played the game though, but iirc only the 2nd form was really weird acting. Even if I am wrong, it would have represented the game more then tingle.
Wasn't sure of its name. It would make one fucking rad ass character to play as. Which now makes me wish Fierce Deity was a full weapon instead of just an attack. Could have let all the mask be their own single weapon (Link adorns a different mask with each combo). Would have been cool.
There is still no excuse why Skull Kid wasn't a character.
Am I the only one who doesn't care for the 8-bit weapons? I mean, I guess they're kinda cool, but why are there so many of them. I pull up the Master Quest map and like 90% of the weapon rewards are 8-bit weapons, which I don't care about.
There is still no excuse why Skull Kid wasn't a character.
The excuse is his gimmick was overused and he has nothing else whatsoever. I wouldn't of minded but it's not a deal breaker by any means.
Playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 makes me so glad that motion controls largely died with the Wii. As cool as some of the technology was, waggling the remote every time you want to make Mario spin has become unbelievably obnoxious and grating. Luckily the rest of game is really great and I'm willing to put up with it for the time being.
I never had a problem with Mario's spinning. If you want to experience real pain, go get Red Steel 2. [editline]17th January 2015[/editline] That reminds me, as much as I doubt this would happen I hope they make Red Steel 3. Red Steel 2 was really awesome.
I never had a problem with Mario's spinning. If you want to experience real pain, go get Red Steel 2.
That was just one example. Any time you have to waggle the remote in order to perform an action that could easily be done with a button is horrible.
No but seriously, Red Steel 2. Even on easy difficulty, the time I was almost done with story mode my wrist and shoulder were dying. Just thinking about it gives me chills, probably the worst game I've played in terms of waggling. [sp]still an awesome game tho[/sp]
All this talk about Skull Kid not being a character in HW makes me even more sad that Goose didn't make the cut either, even though [sp]his invention was used in story mode[/sp].
My friend and I were bored so I got an idea while playing GTA5, since Zelda U's map is gigantic I was wondering what was bigger, Zelda U or GTA5. I googled the zelda u map and told him that the X takes about 5 minutes to get to in Zelda U. So we started up GTA5, got a garbage truck to simulate a horse (still a tad fast so we decided to add an extra minute on the timer for the horse) and set off, it took us 13 minutes and 36 seconds to get from the airport of GTA5 to the top of the map (I don't know the name) Here is the GTA 5 map, we went back onto the main road. Green is the starting point, Blue is when the timer was 5 minutes and Red is the end point. [t]http://puu.sh/eCEvd/2437924526.jpg[/t] Green is the player, X is waypoint and the Red Point is the location around 13 minutes from the Player. [t]http://puu.sh/eCDWv/faaaa2a475.png[/t] So basically, Zelda U's map is fucking big as hell.

Okay so a horse can run at 24 km/h, which is around 15 mph, to get from the bottom of Zelda U to the top, it's 11 miles which is in minutes, 45 minutes. The map takes 45 minutes to get from the bottom to the top. Hopefully I am correct.

And Zelda games typically don't have a lot of sidequests outside of money and pieces of heart. Wind Waker worked because you practically expect an ocean to be just a gigantic flat plane and you could sail directly from point A to point B. Zelda U has a lot of distance and there are probably rather indirect routes to places.

They didnt showcase anything or said anything about the land except they wanted to show it was going to be big. All im saying is just WAIT before judgement.

Movement in video games is almost always faster than natural.

I want to also travel to the future to try out the new Zelda I'm pretty sure I would appreciate it more then you seem to have
The speed at which a normal hose runs is completely irrelevant. Movement in video games is almost always faster than natural.
Okay, but I don't know how fast Epona runs in Zelda U, so in this case I was using an actual horse speed.

Are people so used to Ubisoft's doctored "pre-alpha" videos that they've actually forgotten what a game still in development looks like. Hell I bet all the shit we can see on the gamepad map hasn't even been completely mapped out in the game yet.

So the time it takes to get from point a to b is longer than I thought. I can't really edit it since I don't know how long it took them, 10 mins, 7 mins, more or less.
Sweet jesus the bae got me Bayonetta 2
I don't recall this being posted, sorry if it was. http://www.digitaltrends.com/cool-tech/power-glove-animation-controller-dillon-markey/
