I just noticed something that slightly pisses me off with the new MK8 cups.
Both of the cups that have the Hyrule Circuit and Animal Crossing tracks have names representing those franchises (Triforce and Crossing), but both cups with F-Zero tracks don't.

Probably because the Egg Cup also has a guest track for Excitebike, along with the F-Zero guest track.
I kinda wish Nintendo allowed the user to have Rainbow Road 64 be three laps in 200cc mode.
Anyone seen this Devil's Third game coming out for Wii U?
I see it all the time on GameStop TV at work. It was announced quite a while ago.
I bet they will show us a release date for it at E3.
I've heard mixed things about Devil's Third. Some people are saying it looks like trash while others think it looks very Suda51-esque. What is Devil's Third anyway?
Well, I made it. 300+ death later and I made it to fucking Laughin' Jokin' Numbnuts (LJN Level) in the AVGN Adventures, and holy crap... it's complete evil. Pure. Fucking. Evil. Seriously, they show no mercy in this level, they design it to be the most unforgiving level in recent games.
I should get the AVGN game.
You should, but let me warn you: if your not used to old school NES game difficulty, you'll soon start throwing your controller in frustration (I'm looking at you Blizzard of Balls' boss, lost like 70 life on that son of a bitch).
Pfff, MegaMan, Castlevania, and Ghouls 'N Goblins are my play things.
AVGN Adventures doesn't have "old school NES game difficulty", it has IWBTG levels of artificial difficulty.
It's probably one of the most artificially difficult games of all time. Don't go in expecting anything even remotely fair.
Or well designed.
Doesn't it just put loads of instakill blocks everywhere as a way of making the game hard.
It does, but the game was never meant to be a legitimate platformed to begin with (it plays like one though with the great controls). It supposed to represent all the shitty games and unfair difficulty that infected the consoles back in the days, and obviously, pretty much what the AVGN does for his career. He plays shitty games, and now he's on one.

It's not a shitty game though, hard yes, but not shitty. :v:
I'm not saying that it's a bad game and hate it. I actually enjoyed it playing it, reminded me of the good old SNES day. The big seller for me is that the controls is fucking amazing. It plays like charm with the Pro Controller, and the music is fantastic too. It was made for the fans though, cause if you never seen his videos, you probably won't get the jokes. They do tend to go a bit too much with the death blocks.
So what you're saying is...
...It's shitty on purpose.
Not exactly a great pitch, there.
It's pretty much Super Meat Boy Levels of hard, with great controls so whenever you DO screw up it's usually you that screwed up and not the game.

So it's Nintendo Hard is what you're saying
Pretty much.
Anyways, anyone has played Elliot's Quest? Looks very interesting but it's a bit steep on price.

So I managed to get outside of the map in 200cc.

I wouldn't say it's Nintendo Hard or compare it to SMB. Super Meat Boy gave you excellent control over your character, infinite on the spot retries and all the levels were bite sized.
AVGN game is a "lol isn't this game so terrible xD" type deal where it's artifically difficult just for the sake of it. The level design is insanely poor and instead of a legitimate challenge it just stuffs a handful of "surprise" instant kill blocks everywhere with no coherent thought whatsoever. Unless something changed it's also on limited lives and will kick you out of a level to redo it if you die too many times, it's a tedious and frustrating experience. Imagine if I Wanna Be The Guy gave you 30 lives and if you died instead of going to a checkpoint you had to start the entire game over.
Also the humor sucks. It's literally references as humor and has nothing original to really offer fans of the nerd. The best it has is the random swear generator whenever you die but the options on it are so limited they can somehow manage to repeat a few times before the end.
The AVGN game is lazy, bad, and poorly designed and instead of trying to fix it up for the fans they slapped a "It's SUPPOSED to be that way!" on the box to get away with it.

at least you get to beat the crap out of the creator in the final boss

If his game is this shit maybe he deserves it.
I rammed into a wall so hard in Toad Harbor on 200cc that I clipped right through it and fell into the void. That's how ludicrously fast 200cc is. :v:
If his game is this shit maybe he deserves it.
It's not. I can only think of a few, if any, times that I was killed because of some bullshit reason. There's instant death in a lot of areas, but it's almost always telegraphed before hand so you know what to expect.
You're also given 30 lives at the beginning of each level, if you lose all of them you have to start over. By the time I was done the game I had ten, fifteen lives to spare on the last level, which is brutal, yes. But not unfair, I actually found it to be a fun level by the end.

Damn dude you're really salty about a game you've never played.
I'll just get it anyways and decide for myself if it's any good :v:
