I really really hope it's not going to be as disappointing as it looks. I backed it with 30 euro on Kickstarter.

I don't see the appeal with making the game in 3D at all, looks like a waste of development resources in my opinion. I have always found 3D graphics in a 2-dimensional platformer to be weird.
There are games that look great as 3D in 2D environment.
- Trine series
- Runner 2
- Sonic Generations (Classic Sonic)
- Oddworld New and Tasty
If only the game would have looked like the first concept art. I got pretty hyped when it was first announced.

Different strokes for different folks, I lived perfectly fine with the 2.5D entries in the Mega Man series besides X8, and that was due to that game's weird animations and lean art style. To be honest, even with the budget success on Kickstarter, having all the characters and bosses be hand-drawn would've taken a whole lot more budget.
then again getting a second kickstarter for a fucking TV series shows that I guess they didn't have the best of focuses to begin with

I haven't got a big problem with '3D' 2D platformers, but Mighty Number 9's 3D is far from the best and a hand drawn megaman-esque game a la the concept art would have been amazing.
The graphics are equivalent to megaman 64. :v:
My biggest problem is the baby-level difficulty. It's honestly an insult to compare it to MegaMan.
Crossposting but have some Xeno X music

Outside of the first Mega Man, the series was never too hard. It got tough at some points (fuck you Boobeam Trap) but the series' difficulty steadily went down the more games they had. Mega Man 6 is especially easy.

I'd say the first three were about the same in difficulty, but you're right about them easing up after that.
However, the games after 3 were still legitimately challenging (especially for today's standards). The Mighty No. 9 demo is no-joke a contender for one of the easiest games I've ever played.

I never really got the complaints about Mega Man 1 being so hard compared to the rest of the series; I found fighting Woodman in MM2, Dr. Wily in Mega Man & Bass and Violen in Mega Man X2 to be far more obnoxious to do damageless, buster-only runs on.
Well it looks like my Wii U Gamepad can't stay synced anymore again. Thankfully it is still under warranty, so I am sending it in tomorrow.
Btw guys it's my birthday and I got smashed and Super Smash bros U so lets play . Your lucky auto correct is on btw I'm over 9099
I'm worried about NoA destroying Xenoblade X's translation.
Can we get NoE to translate it instead?
Calling Dolls "Skells" was dumb, but at least they didn't call them Marionettes or Marios for short.
i didn't like the name 'dolls' but 'skells' sounds like an abbreviation for a skin condition
Does the main battle theme still have that terrible Lotus Juice wannabe?

Also, the mecha are getting fully transformable model kits.

Japanese version calls them "Dolls" because that's exactly what Japan calls these:

English version calls them "Skells" because it's shorthand (in lore) for "Exoskeletons"
Both make complete sense and are 100% okay for their respective regional vernacular.

my poor wallet
it will not be able handle the pain it will go through when these are released
they're not exoskeletons though and Doll not only has a super important reason for being term but it also avoids being a synonym for hobo unlike Skell

[del]is this an australian thing?[/del] i've never heard of this before.
research tells me this originated in america and spread to other english speaking countries, yet i've never heard people say the word "skell" until XBC:X's english direct.

So the Australian Club Nintendo finally got something which wasn't a VC title or wrapping paper. I think Europe has it too.
