coolio
also i realized that i could have played mh3u with wii u + 3ds so i could have told my bf to buy the one from eshop sale for 20€ but too late now
I just hope that the HUGE world is not the only gimmick of this Zelda.
can I borrow your Delorean? I want to also travel to the future to try out the new Zelda I'm pretty sure I would appreciate it more then you seem to have
I'm just going off what I've seen so far, and past zelda games. Nearly all of them don't have that large worlds, and worlds that are fairly large are a bit of an annoyance to traverse and most of the time pretty empty. (Twilight princess, Windwaker, Link to the Past to an extent)
Now Nintendo could change things up in these past few months and made the world an incredible experience (see ocarina of time), but who knows at this point.
I just hope that the HUGE world is not the only gimmick of this Zelda.
There is also the "Bullet Time" from horse jumping. I bet this will play a role in battles, most probably in boss battles.
Aonuma replied to an interview that he liked the idea of roaming bosses in a similar fashion to Hyrule Warriors. I think he's job as supervisor might have give him a few fresh ideas from the HW team, that never worked on a Zelda game before. They have another point of view on things.
In the E3 teaser, I think he mentioned that the giant mobile Beamos was just roaming around and that monsters could be looking for Link and aggro on sight. So preparing before going into the wild might be a thing players will have to do, or they'll have to run away to not get murdered.
Also, the Bow has a very predominant item shown so far, more then the sword and shield. It could be a sign that the game revolves around it or that items aren't just one-off items. ALBW items could cause damage in some way (the Super Lamp could cause has much damage has the Captain's Sword) outside of the dungeons they would open. And the idea of upgrades hidden in the dungeons instead of the items to beat the boss was a better idea overall, cause some bosses didn't needed that one item to be beaten (thinking about Thieves' Hideout boss, where you had to use the Bracelet's Power).
There could be more stuff but it's more of a waiting game until E3. After playing ALBW, I think I trust Aonuma's words that it will be a revamped formula. Don't forget that with the Wii U's hardware, they can push some ideas that they could not do before and both Aonuma and Miyamoto mentioned it. In this case, the world being this big is one of those.
Now to wait...

And oh... Let me change that quickly.
What the fuck are you talking about, the controls are really incredible and so do they feel and use.
The ball rolling parts of the game are a perfect example of this.

FEEL THE BEAT
I haven't gotten there yet, but so far the only time that the remote has felt enjoyable to use is when using it as a pointer to collect/throw star bits and aim Yoshi's tongue. Waggling to spin feels unnecessary at best and detrimental at worst, controlling the bird with the gyro felt very unresponsive and frustrating, and in general I just don't think the key part of this game (the platforming) really benefits from motion controls. Hopefully, as you've suggested, the later levels change my mind on that, but at the moment I'm very much glad Nintendo ditched the remote for the Wii U and focused on a regular controller setup for Super Mario 3D Land/World.
I need more friends that play Mario Kart 8 and Smash.
Add me: Zadrave
I'm going to work in a few so I won't be able to respond right away, later in the day I will though.
Hyrule Warriors 1.5.0 Update and Patch notes!
The upgrade to the game via version 1.5.0 include:
– Maximum level increased
– New mixing materials
– New medals
– New weapon skills
– “Skills Cancellation,” “Skills Advice,” and “Weapons Sale” have been added to the Smithy
– “Damage Taken” and “Retry from the Beginning” added to the Adventure Mode information screen
The Majora’s Mask Pack DLC will include:
– Young Link: “A boy able to use the power of the demon’s mask. He fights nimbly and heroically with his sword. When wearing the demon’s mask, he takes its shape and his attacks are strengthened. This power is beyond human understanding, and he will not stop attacking until all of his enemies are destroyed.”
– Tingle: ”A 35-year old bachelor and the reincarnation of a fairy. He uses a balloon to freely jump around the battlefield and blow away enemies. His ability to do things like dodge and attack at the same time make him hard to predict and a force to be reckoned with.”
– Termina Map for Adventure Mode: “In a world where the moon falls moment by moment, you can make free use of mysterious item cards that hold new powers while advancing through your adventure. As a new reward, you can earn some new rank weapons, as well as costumes.”
– Memories of Time costumes: throwbacks to the first and second 3D Zelda, the new costumes include an Ocarina of Time style for Impa and Ocarina of Time style for Sheik. Also included is a more unique Skull Kid style for Lana from Majora’s Mask.
Tingle can dodge and attack at the same time? I guess they are trying to make him decent so people that didn't want him would try him at least.
I think Young Link could have been used better
BY combo could have been something with the sword
BYY combo could have been something with the Deku Scrub mask
BYYY Something with the Zora Mask
BYYYY Something with the Goron mask
and then his special move would have been Fierce Deity
Tingle can dodge and attack at the same time? I guess they are trying to make him decent so people that didn't want him would try him at least.
That, the amazing expressions and those sexy animations, Tingle truly is a force you want on your side.
The only thing missing would be a 2-3 Legend Mode story maps of Tingle goofing off to look for riches and fairies.
Do we know if we will get any Termina inspired maps to play in?
Do we know if we will get any Termina inspired maps to play in?
Highly doubt it. None of the expansions thus far have added new battlefields, and I doubt this'll change that.
They kinda dropped the ball on the DLC on Hyrule Warriors. Besides like the first one, all of them are skins and adventure map or whatever. Its all cool stuff but cmon put a little more effort
And all they seem to care about is Link and Zelda. We have this whole set of playable characters and we have only gotten weapons and skins for the main characters.
And all they seem to care about is Link and Zelda. We have this whole set of playable characters and we have only gotten weapons and skins for the main characters.
It's a bit like that with the Dynasty games. You got 80+ playable and only a handful, especially newcomers get the spotlight, acquiring new stuff and getting pampered.
It's sad really. I wish characters like Darunia or Ruto would get new toys. To be honest, I wish everyone had at least a second weapon.

I really wish at least Ganondorf got new weapons I was hoping he would get his trident from a link to the past
The Twilight pack gives you Twili Midna, but nothing to do with her. All of her weapon tiers a automatically unlocked and the new adventure map doesn't include heart pieces/containers or costumes for her.
I really wish at least Ganondorf got new weapons I was hoping he would get his trident from a link to the past
I wish his super was him turning into straight up old Ganon and doing some piggy magic or some shit.
The Twilight pack gives you Twili Midna, but nothing to do with her. All of her weapon tiers a automatically unlocked and the new adventure map doesn't include heart pieces/containers or costumes for her.
No heart containers? Well here I was hoping I would get to play her a lot when I get to that map. I guess not then.
That also doesn't give me hope for young link and tingle.
Heart containers are completely pointless because if you're getting hit you aren't getting A rank.
It's more of the feeling of achieving something that I like.
Fair enough, I just hope you don't shun Twili Midna because she owns and is one of the most fun characters in the game.
I have her almost upgraded fully with her 5 star Mirror of Twilight, It's just her level is a little on the low side because I haven't had the chance to play her as much.
I finally reached level cap with Link alongside unlocking Legendary Skill for Lana and Ganondorf.
Only took 3 hours of work each. I don't even think it's worth it. I can barely feel the difference when the game throws you damage sponges all the time.
It's really the only gripe I have with HW. The captains are often stronger then the playable characters (as leaders) or bosses. I almost never see powered up captains on my team.
So what did you do to level up your characters? I'm kinda stuck in Adventure Map because I can't deal with the enemies fast enough.
Reward map 1 or bottom left corner of the MQ map with rack up KO's
So what did you do to level up your characters? I'm kinda stuck in Adventure Map because I can't deal with the enemies fast enough.
If you have the Master Quest DLC, the Rack Up your KO is good for leveling up and unlocking skills fast. Early levels can take on the very first mission of the map (I think it's the very first... It's near the center of the bottom row anyways, you can't miss it. It has a Volga reward.)
There is one spot that you can get early on and it's the very bottom left corner.
It's a LV12 Rack Up which can can give up to 3 levels per round.
I advice you to go there after you hit lvl.80 with a lvl.3 weapon (any star will do). Find a strategy to keep the KO count going and keep the Full Magic Jar in sight so if you run out, you pick it up or reset the Bonuses if you unleash your AoE.
One thing though: YOU CANNOT HEAL. It's the rule of the mission.
Here's how this missions goes.
You start agaisnt 2 Dark Ganondorfs and a few Lizaftos. Destroy one of the Dorfs and use the Focus Spirit to open the weak point of the other.
This is pretty much what you have to do in this mission to get rid of the captains so more enemies fill the map (and this is why these missions are my favorite. There is so much destruction!).
After that, you have to KO 3 ReDead. In Focus Spirit, you can keep wailing on them without the fear of paralysis. Dispatch them.
1 Argorok and 2 Manhandlas will appear. Get Argorok first since you can only get him down with the hookshot.
Taking down the 2 plants will be the hardest part of the entire mission. If your character's Focus Spirit special has a "corridor" like attack (e.g. Lana and Ruto) or a massive one (Ganondorf), you can line up both and expose their weak spots.
This way the 2nd one won't pester you with seeds.
Onwards, it's a nice breeze. You get 2 waves of 5 Fatass Moblins and a 3rd one that come with Link, Lana, Agitha and Ghirahim.
Dispatch Agitha first so she doesn't power up the opposing force. The rest is pretty much Weak Point Smashes using the Focus Spirit.
Last part is the relaxing one, where you just KO left and right until you run out of time.
Best tricks are to find a way to rack up those 130 Ko bonuses fast (100 for Cia, Volga and Wizzro. They have a lower requirement). This way you also get loads of bonuses after the mission.
Same goes for the weak points on captains. Find the launcher or the combo that allows to drain it fast. You don't want them to hit you. You cannot heal in this mission.
If you don't have the DLC, the very first reward map you receive is good for both leveling up and grinding rupees, as each completion gives you a nice 40,000. Sadly, it's only good for lvl.70+ since grunts are a bit tough under that.
The best strategy for this one is to wack enemies for about 2 minutes.
You have to chose an ally over 6 choices in the Rogue Yellow Force: Zelda, Lana, Impa, Agitha, Fi and Midna.
Here's what you do. Keep an eye on their health in the pause screen until the have around 20% left.
Go for Midna. She's the only one inside a keep and she gets the least damaged of all of them.
All the others will turn on you and since they have low health, they will be easy to KO. Go for Zelda first as soon as you touch Midna.
The others will group up and once you're done with Zelda, KO the rest. Then you can choose to clean the map or go for Dark Link in the Enemy Base and finish early.
What is great about this mission is that you can train the others too with such a decent loot.
Wow... Okay, wasn't expecting to make a wall of text. Hope this helps. And if anyone finds other means to grind levels or rupees, go on. It can help someone!
[editline]t[/editline]
Damn it. Me and my explanations...
Sift you ninja.
Sorry bout that.
Also some characters can clean house in the bottom left one. I realized I didn't play much with Twili Midna and ran in there at level 35 and got like 3000 kills with minimal damage. She's a monster.
