I've been reading the manual and there is a way to actually lock the team colors in the options. So if you dislike the whole randomized color, you can lock it both your team's and the opposite. It's mostly for colorblind people but it's a neat option.
And apparently, you can change you Inkling "hair" color, eyes AND gender at will. It's not locked.

They're not? They gryoscope is alright but I think I'd rather control it with the twin sticks.

Also, was it just me or is the default sensitivity too high? I had to lower it to -2.
To be completely honest, the 4 hour map switches are too long. I enjoyed playing, but playing the same two maps over and over gets tiring.

Lmao the Paint Roller is busted as fuck. Glad by the end of a single hour every lobby I joined was 4v4 rollers.
From gameplay videos the Scatter Jr looked terrible but it ended up my favorite, tied with the Roller.
Scatter Jr is great against Roller, and it's almost just as good for covering a lot of ground if you constantly swim+jump.

Yeah, you can change it in the controls menu on the main screen.
And wow, this game was a blast. First impressions is that Roller seems to be a bit OP and Charger seems to be a bit UP for how much more fiddly it is, but that may change once everyone's got to grips with the game more.
Like I could go splattershot or the other one and take care of a roller... but there's 3 more across the map making way more coverage then me and my paint would just sail past them and seeing how they just have to starman into me it's no question.
Yeah I'm sold, I had a blast. Almost had 1000 points one match, killed the entire team with the roller loadout's sonic cannon thing, and our team had the other team pushed back inthe spawn and we had over 90% of the map covered. The rifle also shreds.
Jr and Roller are the best weapons

The other standard one had balloons which help cover extra zones and you can bust three before you run out.
So I'd toss one, shoot, swim, rinse and repeat.
Sadly, balloons don't seem to do much damage.
