Not rapidly, you either get unlimited number or they don't cost as much ink.
Question: does the bomb blast special ability just let me throw grenades rapidly? I didn't really notice a difference
I've noticed you throw grenades a tiny bit faster, but that may be because they don't use ink, so it seems a little faster because it doesn't have to subtract any ink from your current levels while the ability is active.
Would I have time to download and play at the 4PM Est match?
Still got hour and 40 m8
Words can't describe how much I love this game. On my last match yesterday I got on top of a box and spammed boo-yah while someone set up a killer wail right in front of me :v: Oh and apparently there's another test at 12-1 PT so thats like 5 minutes from now.
So after two of the three play sessions, has anyone decided on picking Splatoon up at launch? I'm debating it, I've seen it as low as £25 as a pre-order, just worried about the amount of content really.
my high score so far is 1297p with splattershot jr. this game is great. though the netcode acts really weird sometimes. there was this guy who was using a roller who would roll into me but wouldnt kill me so i was able to kill him, but 5 seconds later i would die. other than that the game is better than i expected
It's great, but not $70 great. Also the charger is both useless as a weapon, and useless as a painting device.
I played a lot better today than last night, I think I hit around 1300p. What's everyone's favorite weapon right now? I personally like the roller the best, but Splattershot Jr. is great too.
my splattershot jr laughs at those who say the roller is better at covering area.

UK gets it at bargain bin price for some reason (fuck NoA). Hell it's even cheaper if you played the demo and get the eShop version. Just won every match the past hour though using the splattyhouse jr. Boy people sure don't get that the bubble means "go away" huh?
This game feels like a Dreamcast throwback with it's bright visuals and kitschy music. I love it.
Konami just pulled the Splatoon demo from the eShop :(
Now we wait till May 29.
This last session was hectic. I ended up activating my Bubble at the same time as my opponent. We just stood there, he probably was laughing too. Damn the shield is amazingly useful. Also, Charger is pretty good on the Rig stage, especially on the bottom region with walkways. There was that one match where one player was a Charger and kept holding back a few members of my team while keeping that region under his control. A lot of fun. I hope they let us play more in the coming weeks.

Charger doesn't get enough credit. It allows you to move around the area and reposition very quickly. If the team actually cooperates it's good for opening pathways into enemy territory and keeping people trapped on their side of the map.
I'm actually expecting something like this, yeah. Those eyes on the shell things are identical to everything else in the Mario universe.
There are references to the Super Mario Blooper and Zelda's Octorok in Splatoon. I might not pre-order it, but it put the game pretty high on my rada. I mean, I missed the first two sessions because I didn't care enough to watch the nintendo direct. Also, I like motion control more than using a normal controller; it's just more precise I feel.

This makes me want a combination of Sonic CD and Mario's Time Machine as a 2D or 3D platformer where you can see good futures where the Mushroom Kingdom and others are fine and bad futures where Bowser has taken them over and replaced them with cities similar to Neo Bowser City.
Motion Control aiming, when solid, is amazing. It's like aiming with a mouse. Both 3DS Zelda (Ocarina and Majora) were a walk in park when it came to aiming with the bow. Same goes for Wind Waker HD. I remember struggling to aim, especially on the 64.
I found myself exclusively using the motion controls, even to the point where I'll turn the gamepad completely around to shoot someone behind me. Throughout all 3 testfires I had no problem with rollers, if you use the splattershot and walk backwards while shooting them you can take them out pretty much point-blank, especially if you have a low response time TV.
Gyro-controls are really the best we're gonna get for a console version of mouse controls when it comes to shooters. Though I doubt it would work as well in an fast-paced FPS.
Seems everyone heard about the bubble beating rollers because boy people were eager to use the bubble the second they came under fire. I had several times where me and a enemy would bubble at each other and just kind of wander away like "oh..." [editline]9th May 2015[/editline] Glad to see no matter what though anyone with a charger was guaranteed the absolute worst score on whatever team though.
I wonder if they'll ever let us use the Wiimote/nunchuck to aim. It didn't really work well in any FPS's, but in a third person shooter like splatoon it would probably be great.
1 player: Gamepad only 1-on-1 local: Gamepad (P1), Controller Pro/Wiimore+controller (P2) It's all in the manual. Then again, no one really read those anymore.
It didn't really work well in any FPS's
Better than m+kb or dual analog sticks.

Nobody knew what they were doing with charge, it'll become more apparent how useful it can be as people learn to play.
I really wonder what goes through Nintendo of America to not gives us amazing looking ads like this ones.
