Both have secret projects we have no idea about, and honestly this year would be the year to do so.

To be fair, Retro's website was only showing their GameCube stuff until very recently. It needed an upgrade.

I might be late, but I just realized that the standard horn in Mario Kart 8 functions very well as a stress-ball equivalent without having to let go of the controller when the game decides to threw everything at you. Maybe that's the intended purpose, or just a small detail that adds a little fun to the game when you have no item.
