It's such a disappointingly generic cover for a 1st issue.
You're supposed to start with something impressive and eye catching to grab interest but it's just so bland.

Ok, I want this when it gets released. Are there any online comic book stores which ship IDW comics outside of us and canada and have decent shipping prices?
After months and months of putting off Sonic forces, I got it and...[sp]its mediocre, the music is good though, i found myself yawning at classic sonics stages and other stages were too short for modern and avatar. Overall i wont be touching the game again[/sp] Not sure i should spoiler for a 3 month old game at this point but whatever.

No point in spoiling that at least, they're gameplay and overall opinions that don't actually spoil the story.
Not that there's really much of a story to care about, much less any worthwhile writing, but hey.
They setup Eggman to be a serious threat again, so I would say at least that is something worthwhile.
I never thought I'd say it about a Sonic game of all things, but there is nothing you would get from playing Forces that you honestly wouldn't get from watching a playthrough of it.
It really is barely worth a buy on sale.

I don't know why anyone thought Archie characters would return, at least right off the bat considering how much baggage everyone had that would have to be simplified and stripped down to be refit into starting off fresh again in new comics that want to clean their slate before really going in. Plus I think they made it clear originally that this was gonna be tied more closely to the games.
The fact that, for once, it really is continuing off of and building from where a game stopped while remaining "canon" is the biggest twist here instead of just being another adaptation of a game doing its own thing. Plus Forces' story sucked, so skipping the whole shebang to the aftermath lets new ideas get built on top as well as avoid having to really characterize Buddy more given the whole OC insert basis.

Basing comic of a specific game universe/story creates a significant problem:
Comic is now even more limited than before in what it can do. It will be even more tightly controlled by Iizuka than during the archie era so it will not contradict games and established character behavior. Which limits possibilities of fixing characters (like making Tails not a crybaby) and plot holes.

Literally almost every other game contradicts eachother at this rate. Hell, look at that variant cover for #2, Tails is actually doing something.

Sonic Heroes Remastered originated on a 4Chan leak, and I'm going to doubt that it's legit.
If Sonic Forces, the game that took four years and was hyped as the next tent-pole release "from the creators of Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations", was released as a budget title that had to reuse assets from Sonic Generations, Colors, Lost World, etc, then I don't see why they would have the time/budget/etc to recreate Sonic Heroes with updated assets (and update the old Heroes gameplay style to work in the Hedgehog Engine) from the ground up.
My money is on us finding out whatever the "Project Plus" file on the SteamDB page for Sonic Mania is; I would guess DLC.
I'm pretty sure that if there was a "Sonic Heroes HD" it'd probably be a PS4/Xbone re-release now that both consoles have ways of playing PS2 and OG Xbox games

Sonic heroes is one of my favourite sonic games ever and I would love a remake
I much rather they make a mordern Sonic Adventure. I know we already have DX but I still want to play the first adventure game with Sonic 06 type of graphics. Also proper speech animations for Sonic and the others.
