Live action Sonic Movie?
I bet the movie will take place in New York and the main focus will be unfunny human actors.

Have a listen to the Custom Character music for Forces' Park Avenue level.
Cheesy Sega english lyrics will never die
The soundtrack's pretty good, but it is so... different? Especially for a stage music.
It's way better than almost everything made in the last 10 years (i dunno, less cartoony?) and it's got vocals. That's all I really need from sonic soundtrack.
It's been kind of bugging me how Buddy / Custom Hero has more of an exaggerated cartoony appearance compared to the other anthros.
The character design of the series has always taken some influence from old rubber hose cartoons but here it isn't exactly as subtle or on the nose.
I'm going to be VERY cross if this game winds up being bad.
Its been a while since the sonic cycle has not been used.

They took their info directly from Game Informer, who made the mistake and had that footage before the official Sonic channel posted it above. And Game Informer apparently completely failed to realize Chemical Plant Zone was in Sonic 2.
The Sonic Retro general thread for Mania also posted something else that's a bit of a spoiler, I know some people don't want to know too much about Mania so it's hard to figure how to do this besides a spoiler tag of, [sp]Death Egg Robo variant as Green Hill Zone Act 2's boss fucking chasing you in an auto-runner boss fight as he attacks with extending arms and reshaping the ground with his stomps.[/sp]

I really don't like this "Sonic Cycle" mantra with how it makes out that hype backlash happens only with the Sonic series, which is simply not true.

While i'm not the biggest fan of Chemical Plant, I'm so glad they showed the 2nd Act. One of the badniks is from Hydrocity Zone and all the nods to Wacky Workbench [sp]WACKY WORKBENCH OF ALL THINGS[/sp] and managed to make it fun is quite amazing,
Now i know this might blow in my face but this is turning into the best game this Summer.

Meh, I honestly don't like their Act 1 version one as much as the original. Thankfully, the Act 2 version we saw in the recent trailer is so much better.

SilvaGunner doesn't waste time on new music.
So apparently, this was Tee Lopes' first remix from 2006:

A purple cat with a Flamethrower huh? Yohohohoho [sp]where the fuck is Blaze[/sp]Looks like Shadow is semi-confirmed?
Either way, it looks soooooooooooooo much better than Lost World already! Really like all the chatters and events happening throughout the levels. If they somehow manage to connect the levels together into a coherent world (instead of just a random checklist) it would be absolute gold. Still need to know how the game plays, but I've got high hopes.
UI could've been a lot better. Otherwise the game looks pretty good.
From that interview which seemed to have made out Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic as being two different entities and during the gameplay of that Classic Sonic vs. Eggman showdown where the latter referred to Classic Sonic as being from "another dimension" instead of the past, I'm starting to think Sonic Team is pulling a Pokemon Remake style of storytelling and going all out with the multiverse shenanigans while also entirely retconning Classic Sonic's origins.
Unless Iizuka is fooling with us Itoi-style, it's pretty hard to swallow for a series that has had such a strong sense of continuity (see: Classic game JP manuals, NPC's in Adventure 1 writing off events of the Classic games, the whole purpose of Generations, etc) and I'm worried how this will affect the fandom if it's without a doubt proven true.
I'm seeing a lot disliking the UI, but I feel that while it could be better, it is past decent!
It isn't as colorful as past titles (this one only has like, 3 colors) but I think they are trying to fit the whole revolution theme (the red and black). The only issue I see being that it clashes with the on-going vibrant world.
Pissed that wisps dictate boost but w/e
Pissed that wisps dictate boost but w/e
It's back to Colors, really. The double jump and the boost alike.
Pissed that wisps dictate boost but w/e
Not really a fan either of how Wisps are becoming a mainstay of the series, just because Colors was highly praised at the time by critics who claimed it was Sonic's "comeback" from '06.
I'm more annoyed that Iizuka just can't get over the fucking Wisps, and we don't even know if the Wispon thing for the avatar is going to have story relevance. They really don't make for good "longrunning power-ups" for the series.
My only wishes for the hud would be to make the time and score white instead because I can barely read the black text being a near blind person, and move the ring counter to the bottom right corner to not shove all hud elements to the left side.
