Calling it now, it's going to be colored in pink.
No, it's gonna be green, duh.
I was told just that the other day by my friend's ex-fiance's grandpa whom works at Sega of Japan's offices, he can't possibly be wrong.
Well, she did wear a green shirt in her classic design. :v:

Gonna be a letdown if it isn't generations style 3D sonic.
Their deal with Nintendo is up now though. So no more wiiu exclusives aka no more trash. Here's hoping.

I have a feeling this game is going to be an NX launch window title.

Doubtful. All their Nintendo exclusive deal games have been failures aside from colors. Really doubt they'll be going down that path again

I mean, it really depends on how the NX stacks up- if it's at the very least on par with modern consoles, I don't see why they can't do that port. If not...well, Nintendo would have bigger problems than not having a sonic game on their console in that case.

Gee, I wonder who's handsome mug this is...

Eggman with sonic pelt shoulder blades?

I don't think it is a coincidence that the Sonic anniversary game was pushed to around the launch of the NX.
I honestly don't give a shit what gameplay style it is- I just hope it's decent enough to get Sonic back out of the 'irredeemable trash' pile he's been in since Lost World and Boom.

I get that it's partially due to the art style, but Sonic looks almost identical to his classic self beyond the eyes. Huh.
Also it's always weird to find references to the oldest of character bits, like the fact that Amy used fortune telling that led her to Little Planet and thus meeting Sonic.

Love little tidbits like that, even with how small in depth they actually are.
Another layer of contrast towards Mario with how character and world details got phased out overtime as clumsily made as they were.
so who noticed this little thing on their twitter?

Honestly I think they're gonna pull a whole game with Classic Sonic. Their social media has pointed to it for months

I don't think they'd do a full "Classic Sonic" game, however that would be pretty cool if they did. It probably just has more to do with them celebrating the series roots, and the social media manager having a good idea of what appeals to the audiences.
But if they were to do a full Classic Sonic game, it would be kinda cool if they did full-3D sections/stages as well, since despite not being programmed to, Classic Sonic was sometimes fun to play as in the Modern Stages.
A sonic generations 2, or an adventure battle 3 would both be instant buys for me. I loved the chao garden in adventure battle
I really hope it's a real Classic Sonic game, this time actually done right. Generations was nice but it was too automated and missed so many subtleties, it and both Sonic 4 Episodes just had embarrassing physics. Fans have been embarrassing Sega and Sonic Team for years with their knowledge of what actually made these games fun so I hope they get it right.
Due to the heavy emphasis on Dragon Ball Z references within the series, they just cut the middle man out and make it a crossover between the two franchises.

Funny enough Classic Sonic in the 3DS version of Generations had more accurate physics. It kind of came with the fact that the Classic stages in the first era (Green Hill, Casino Night, Mushroom Hill) were 1:1 recreations in 3D of the respective stages. Too bad DIMPS then gave Classic Sonic a Homing Attack after the first era and all of his stages afterwards suck balls since it's clear the devs didn't know what to do with him.
And the 3DS version as a whole dropped the ball in my opinion. Sure, certain things like the boss fights with Big Arm and Biolizard were cool (albeit again almost literal recreations but easier), but there's only one Handheld stage in the game via Sonic Rush, and technically the opening stage stuff from Sonic Colors DS. If the 3DS version actually went for the Game Gear, GBA and DS games as a whole it could've been a really awesome celebration on two fronts. Since DIMPS made every handheld game starting with Pocket Adventure, you'd think they'd really want to toot their own horn, but maybe Sonic Team or SEGA reigned them in hard.
[sp]and then they followed up with the abomination that was the 3DS version of Lost World[/sp]

Really? I felt a very apparently difference when going through the lazy rips of the old stages, nothing you could do in the original stage worked at all. They may have specifically programmed some parts of the stage to give you the illusion there are physics, I don't remember, but they definitely are not there. Gens 3ds was just a lazy cash grab to pick up the scraps of the real version. But even with that said I don't mind their stage choices, the Game Gear and GBA games are not so popular, so it makes sense they'd go with popular stages like Emerald Coast, Mushroom Hill, Casino Night and Radical Highway. And Rush is actually quite popular so Water Palace is a good choice. I really like seeing Mushroom Hill rendered in 3D and Emerald Coast is nice to see back. Honestly, who gives a crap about games like Triple Trouble?
also lost world 3ds is some of the worst shit ive ever played
As someone who had Sonic 2 (GG) and Sonic Chaos growing up, I would have appreciated throwbacks to those in -some- way. Ah well, can't fix the past
