Unless you're in Super, because you're actually so damn fast that it overshoots the bounce every time.
Started my second playthrough, trying to actually do the special stages and Blue Spheres

I climbed up a wall and found [del]a bug[/del] Dr. Robotnik's nefarious speed trap.
Playing Sonic Adventure DX again with the latest Dreamcast mods, including the DC Character Models release, and boy, I always seem to underestimate how janky the game is when I come back to it. And while I don't know Japanese, playing with the JP voices on is a lot less ear grating and yet I can tell the english localizers rewrote dialogue or added extra talking where there was little to none. It's kind of weird.

Has anyone else encountered this badnik in[sp]Metallic Madness[/sp]Act 2 that can't hurt you? I can't destroy it either, I just walk right through it.
Seen it on two seperate playthroughs.
So it turns out you do have to unlock [sp]level select. First you unlock Debug Mode, which requires three rows of Blue Sphere medals, and then you can input the code.[/sp]
I just got a hidden ending via dicking around with unlocks. (It's a actual secret ending, and requires you to have finished half the blue sphere levels)
[sp]Step 1: Enable Debug and & Knuckles Mode
Step 2: Go to the debug level select and make sure you're playing as Knuckles
Step 3: Defeat the Super Sonic boss with Knuckles
Enjoy the goofy new ending you get[/sp]
I find it odd how almost every single bug in the game is gamebreaking.
Not a lot of small little oddities.
All stuff that softlocks or requires a restart.

Strangely you don't need to unlock it in the switch version. Can use a cheat code at the title screen.
Also it's 2 rows of Blue Sphere, that's when it unlocked for me anyway when I was clearing them out.
I want more special stages, and a way to play them effectively
Why can I play blue spheres but not special stages???
Yes I know I can play the first one in the debug menu

[sp]Funnier when you realize that CD was basically a remake of the first game.[/sp]
CD was actually going to be Sonic 2

I'm still confused by Sonic 4, like, did no one stop during development and go "Why does this game look so weird?"

Sega is weirdly anti-dlc for Sonic. Other than Casino Nights pinball there was zero dlc for Generations when that game was practically built for whoring out DLC levels.

If you weren't aware it was supposed to be a iphone game called Sonic Portable or something along those lines.
Sega wanted to port it to consoles which, as you know, aren't usually portable so it needed a new name. They slapped 4 on it and called it a day.

I would of snapped it up but like, I didn't see it happening in the first place so I can't act outraged or even surprised. I'd kinda rather a confirmation that we can see a 2 before it happens.
Gimmie the Sonic rule of 3 SEGA, please?
I would rather have a sequel than DLC.
I wasn't expecting DLC anyways so I'm not too terribly disappointed. Yeah, it sucks, but it wasn't really expected either.

If that's true I find it pretty sleazy that they tarnished the original trilogy of games with what was originally a phone game.

Yes, it's Hunnid P. the guy who made the wonderful Knuckles Stage songs in Sonic Adventure 2 like Meteor Herd and Pumpkin Hill.
