So... why exactly [I]isn't[/I] Blaze in Forces? There's literally been 0 sign of her, either for some reason she'll play a big part in the plot or they just didn't put her in the game.
It's also entirely possible that they're saving any story related to Blaze for release in November. Just because we haven't seen her yet doesn't mean she's not there. It's entirely speculation on my part but I don't mind not knowing everything in the game right now, it leaves more to be discovered when the game launches.
I doubt Blaze is going to have any significant role in the game outside being one if the many Sonic friends cheering Sonic on. She hasn't had a significant role in a mainline game since what? Black Knight?

Blaze's main goal is to warn sonic about an incoming homing shot.
I don't think it would be weird to ignore Silver and highlight Blaze (in general) seeing as how that forced romance thing was awful and retconned
Blaze in general is just confusing. Alt Dimension Sonic that comes from the future and is also a princess except for when she's not a princess and she has to go back to the past to fix a dimension she's not a part of it and eggman's evil(er) copy is following her except he's not a copy he's actually a grandkid or what the fuck is going on help me my head hurts save me

i liked the idea that they came back from the future together as teammates. like an equivalent to sonic and tails. dunno, i thought their arc was one of the more interesting parts of sonic 06

I don't think it's necessarily bad to be hyped for Forces, you just have to know how to reign it in so you don't buy into it recklessly. Wait it out, don't pre-order until either more stuff comes out or the reviews hit right before release. If they do, which they usually do.
But this is the last game i'd blindly buy out of hype. Almost everything they've shown so far has given me the most wobbly fence i've ever had to sit on for a game, and made me a bit of a cynic about it.
Can still end up being disappointing but still fun to play.
The latest Zelda is amazing to play but parts of it are disappointing or straight terrible. Not gonna stop me from playing it and enjoying in the end.
But then again, fun, like a lot of stuff, is very subjective.
Edit: Also what Rikoh said about pre-ordering it. In the end, the decision is only yours to make.

On the concept of music; what kind of sound/genre do you guys prefer in your Sonic games?
I'm more partial to the rock music of the Dreamcast/Modern era, but I appreciate how all over the place the music has been throughout the games.
I only have a super loose understanding of the situation as I don't use Amino and have only heard about it a couple times but from what I've read
- Rumor gets posted on /v/ and gets laughed at and called fake. There's no proof and some earlier stuff contradicted what was known
- Guy who made it gets mad and takes his leak and photoshops it onto a popular sonic site like Sonic Stadium to prove "it's legit see, others are reporting on it."
- Guy gets called out on it because anyone with a brain can just go to Sonic Stadium or whatever and see that the article isn't there.
- Defeated again dude goes to a amino chatroom for fans that has some popular youtubers on it like Twip (I say popular but I only know about this guy because of his connection to the rumor)
- TWIP makes a video on the leak as well as a few other people before getting told "nah man that's just a 4chan leak you got baited because you're starved for views"
- Youtubers leave videos up because desperation but denounce it in their comments as fake a day later.

S3K, CD, and of course Mania. Unleashed / Generations and Colors style music for the modern era all work really well.
Not the biggest fan of the Dreamcast stuff but I still enjoy it.

Good to know that the music is once again superb even if the game will be bad.
Well, [url=https://aotf.com/articles/preview-sonic-forces-on-nintendo-switch-is-a-bit-of-a-mess/]this guy[/url] didn't have a very shining opinion of the EGX demo. And if he's to be believed, Sega wasn't smart enough to cap the Switch version's framerate at 30FPS, meaning it swings the gamut of instability between 60 and 30 on top of nasty input lag.
