Finally bought EVE a few days ago. Been wanting to get into it since it first came out, but I never had the money. Then, once I had the money, I didn't have a proper internet connection to play it.
I'm staying out of PvP and PvE, just been mining and manufacturing stuff since I started, but I've been having so much fun, and my ISK has been gaining steadily.
Don't listen to what anyone says, if you enjoy mining and manufacturing, keep at it.
When will I learn my lesson that sov null is boring as fuck and stop rejoining my old alliance. I think I just need to find a good lowsec alliance that uses caps and blops to derp around with, or wormholes if I can get into a decent corp. It was boring before but man, space capture the flag is more boring than running missions.
If you are looking for a lowsec corp check out Unkindness incorporated, we do a lot of blops onto provi, great bunch of people. (If interested message Oloril Tsutola in game)

If your looking for a corp, A corp I'm in is looking for people who like to mine and manufacture.
What do you guys think about fozziesov? I've not been in null since it started, and from what I read most people don't like it (except for the fact that it allows small alliances to take space). Everyone seems to complain about it not resulting in fights at all and the stupidly large amount of nodes that spawn in attacked systems.
I think fozzie sov makes null a little more interesting but it is to susceptible to trolls just entosing entire regions.
Also if anyone is thinking about starting playing eve use my referral link you get a longer trail and if you message me in game (oloril tsutola) I will give you half the cost of the plex I get for referring you. Yeah, this game is great (if you can ever find time to play it :frown:)
I made the mistake of bidding everything I had on my alliance tournament team who went and lost.
Got a jove space bookmark though.

That is risky, what alliance you in?
TEST just declared war on BRAVE.
For fuck sake CCP, why bother patching the game if you refuse to download the files...

Is your folder read only or something?
Null sec is a Newbro heaven. They are always looking for new people, and will happily teach you everything you need/want to know.
For example a new player wont have the skills to fly a huge battleship, but within a week or a few days you can easily pilot a small logi or ewar boat. And while those sound a little boring they get your foot into the massive 100+ fleets.

Absolutely, there's some sort of misconception that you have to spend weeks, months, years even before you can actually "do" anything in EVE Online which is simply untrue. Tackle frigates are usually wanted on every fleet and only take a day or so to train into, perhaps less. As long as you can scram/web something, flying as part of and contributing to a large fleet won't be an issue.
Actually, massive fleets really aren't a thing anymore (at least not in null itself as much as there used to be months ago) , and nullsec alliances are only really nice to newbros because they don't know how boring nullsec is to live in yet. I honestly recommend finding a decent lowsec FW group to run with that teaches newbros, much more fun to be had.
been feeling shitty lately and this just showed up on HB. i've played eve about twice in my life, never had more than a trial.

start a 30 day trial, and add that on top to get 60 days rolling.
join "facepunch chat" so we can start teaching you how to not die
Just flew a tayra through highsec in my -10 toon... For 25 jumps.
Was pointed twice and made it with 1.6bil in faction mods.
I'm never redeploying again.

How the heck do you escape points in a Tayra of all ships?
Carebears are really shit at pointing stuff, best part is I've got to do the same thing again! Deployment cancelled. FUCKING SENSATIONAL.
After losing 5b (I won't go into how) I've started going full on jew mode with station trading. There's some pretty filthy profit to be made here provided you keep ontop of your orders, I've already found "hot" items that are having a very quick turn around. It's something I've always sort of wanted to do, but without being backed by a fairly large capital limits the risks you can take. I don't suppose anyone has any resources or methods they use to monitor precisely what's incoming and outgoing so I can work out what sort of profit I'm making? I'm enjoying it a lot so far, I intend to move into a JF and start supplying demanding markets.

Trading period is something I always wanted to master in any game.
You can still do distance trading without moving anything by having courier services like the frogs handle the shipments. Most couriers love Amarr - Jita runs.

I guess this is what Jita is like when there's no scams going on. I had no idea it could get so heated, but I subdue myself to this during station trading.

Thanks, I'll have to try it out. I'm doing all my trading solely through my corporation and whilst all the utilities I've tried allow you to add a corp API key they don't do much stats tracking compared to a character. I'll see how this fairs.

Snuff dun goofed
Hey, fellas! I'm hoping to rejoin EVE online sometime soon. Is there an active group, or someone I can play with?
Fuckin eve, it's a chatbox for me now. 100m sp, carriers, marauders, everything, yet i'm still bored.
Can I have your stuff?
