I am beyond depressed I can't fly my mining barge anymore. But it sounds like mining got overhauled so its actually profitable solo now. Off to get a venture I guess.
Looks like ship roles were made much more... doable. Ive not played since 2009 BTW. My concern before seeing how this is turning out though is that alpha players were locked to basic playstyles. SHootin shit, mining shit, etc. Its nice to see that despite being unable to branch out from your race, you can still almost fully experience different playstyles up to and including T1 cruisers. SHips that were previously useless or redundant now have explicit roles, and thats really nice to see.
My character turned four years old as of November 5th. :toot: If any newbros like the idea of mining valuable gas and pew pew shenanigans in wormhole space, send me a pm. [editline]18th November 2016[/editline] I had 13 days left of training for Heavy Drone Operation V. I resub and now I have 17 days. :hairpull:
Man I want to get back to playing eve so bad, but my irl economy makes it impossible, and I'm not the kind of person who enjoys spending most of their eve time to just earn money for plex. I mean everything they are doing, looks like they are really "making Eve great (again)". Since I have a lot of different characters so I can enjoy most or at least a lot of the different aspects of the game just makes me more sad now with the industrial shizzle thats out. Not only that, I miss all the friends I made through Eve, and despite their attitude I still miss my Providence peeps.

Just wack some music on and go ham.

Never done an incursion before. I went into my first wormhole yesterday. No cloak, very cheaply fitted Heron. Scanned around and found a data site. Spent maybe 6 minutes there and came away with 9mil. Now I can buy that Heron and the fit 10 times over. Time to be careless in the next one
There are a few groups that you can go along with, I fly with TVP. http://thevalhallaproject.info/ TVP New Bro Guide Please read the ENTIRE wiki before joining. Your ships are also insured by TVP, replacing any lost ships or drones during fleets if it was a FC error or logistical error.
I flew a couple of times with TVP for my first time doing incursions. I was really nervous but everything went great. Their general chat was extremely friendly and helpful and the FCs were patient, humble and really good at their job.
Are Incursion groups like that going to take in gimped Alpha accounts? I looked around on their website and didn't find anything about it
So is JITA 4/4 actually a shitty place to buy stuff? Everything seems to be above the regional average price. You'd think there would be more competition.
So is JITA 4/4 actually a shitty place to buy stuff? Everything seems to be above the regional average price. You'd think there would be more competition.
That because of the NPC tax.
That because of the NPC tax.
I haven't played in 5 years so I'm having some gaps in my knowledge. Can you elaborate?
You make a sell order, there is a tax imposed by the NPC station owner. Market Escow charge etc. You'll note the citadels will normally have a "Low Tax **%" in their name. This lets people sell at cheaper prices due to no tax being imposed. eg: I sell an item on an order, tax follows.
I warped to what I can only guess was a citadel and the station started remote repping me. Freaked me out, I'm only just now learning what they even are.
you can still get into high sec at -2.7: Other wise you can use clone soldier tags to INSTANTLY fix your sec status as far as -10 back to 0. Tags Calculator Use this, buy the tags, then head to a low sec concord station that has a security office and redeem the tags.
Thanks so much man, bumped myself up to -1.7, went and showed my friends the ropes, good times by all
Went into a Wormhole. Scanned down everything, nothing I was interested in. Went back to my entry point. Wormhole was collapsed. Scanned the 3 wormholes inside, 2 lead to null and I ain't about that life, the other lead to Lowsec. Jumped through it even though there were 4 frigate wrecks around it. Come out the other side in 0.3 space, 33 jumps from where I started. God DAMNIT
started playing again after a hiatus for god knows how long. my corp is now on the other side of the map, great. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DItmNv3.png[/t] I guess i'll prepare for the journey SHIT

What's the hottest new place for buying and quickselling shit these days then?
Not sure, either it's still Jita or a citadel in a system adjacent to it. To me it seems most people don't bother moving out of Jita.
I am the new proud owner of 5 million units of Veldspar, or 87 million isk worth, which I bought for far less than that I wish I could unlock the secrets to trading so I can make a billion. Everyone talks like Oh it's easy pfshhhh, but I'll never tell! Fuckin liars I'm just going to make my fortune on Veldspar
Just hit 2 easy peasy relic sites in a wormhole and came away with 49M isk worth of loot, woop
I think im in love with hull tanked brutix right now.
I think im in love with hull tanked brutix right now.
I suggest the hull tank megathron as a straight upgrade also.
I suggest the hull tank megathron as a straight upgrade also.
Navy Mega hull tank best hull tank
In my opinion, the Sisters of Eve ships were the best thing to ever happen to this game. You have the Astero, a pirate faction scan frig for pve oriented exploration that can hardly fit an expanded probe launcher, with a sizeable drone bay, bonus to lasers, and the ability to fit a covert ops cloak with little fuss. It's a scan frig with teeth, and half the training time to use. And to top it all off, the less than a second align time when fit properly makes it as slippery as all hell. Cool. You then come to the Stratios, and notice straight away that it's the Astero's bigger, ill tempered cousin. It can mount a sizeable tank, the choice between lasers and neuts, and a drone complement that can send even the guristas ships packing. It's agile, but not fast - although, not like it needs to be if you're ambushing. It can fit a covops cloak too, as well as a scanner, but a glance at this thing in the fitting window with the right modules and up to 600+ dps will let you know that it has murder in mind. All you need to do is uncloak, and the fight is over before the shooting starts. Then you come to the Nestor... wait, what does this ship even do? It seems like a clusterfuck. What were they thinking? Isn't this just an overpriced Rattlesnake? ...and then you witness a spider tanked small gang of Nestors, each with the insane dps of a capital ship and the logi ability rivalling that of a fax, completely break a much larger fleet with almost no effort. A Nestor can both kill things and send reps with equal amounts of incredible finesse. They are capital-like support that you can take into lower class wormholes with little attention to either make or break an eviction op. A Nestor is all the support you will ever need in a wormhole of any size, provided you can afford it. A single Nestor is a handful, two are a pain, a fleet is a nightmare. In short, Sisters of Eve ships are expensive toys that have incredible potential: cute and cuddly in the hands of the newbie without a solid skillbase, and incredibly deadly murder machines in the hands of a vet pilot. If more pirate faction capitals become a thing, I want to see what else the Sisters of Eve will bring to the table.

If you've come back after years and the station is totally hostile, they will move your stuff to a place you can access if it means they get your long term sub back.
