That's one hell of an explosion. EDIT: On twitch, the explosion starts and doesn't stop until 10 minutes later. Sorry, what's the backstory to that fight? I'm seeing images of something approaching the Citadel before it blew up, but nothing much more then that.

I'm seeing images of something approaching the Citadel before it blew up, but nothing much more then that.
Basically Horde, Northern Coalition, and Pandemic Legion all dropped into the system and proceeded to ti-di the fuck out of it (When I arrived in-system time dilation was like below 5 percent, fucking torture) On the Horde side of things, we brought (some marvelous saint actually managed to manufacture all of them) a ton of Scorpions, logi, and EWAR frigs for the newbeans and set up at an Astrahaus nearby. Then, we proceeded to warp in and blap the thing until it blew up. Only took something like 6 hours. Co2 barely put up a fight honestly, I think there were more goons in the system than actual defenders. Overall, it was an interesting, laggy fight (the ti-di was so unbearable that our fleet commanders actually ordered almost all of us to log out so we could speed up DPS on the citadel) and I got to be on the killmail for EVE's first online Keepstar kill! Only disappointing thing is that it never visually exploded on my side, so I only get to really see the boom from the CCP stream. Overall , not many caps or supercaps actually participated in this battle. It mostly battleships dishing out the damage. I'm surprised we killed it but at the same time not really, given how much subcap firepower we all brought in. Here's some screenshots I took during the fight: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/LZw6Ci.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/MnpkqO.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/Q1GfAI.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/Mp3Az1.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/4avrPL.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/3mO3Ac.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/Lpzp5e.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/83DQl7.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/8KMEHz.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/5yK6Jp.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/DS4Z0x.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/Or1M1I.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/XT4K5V.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/fcx6zg.png[/t] [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/XT4K5V.png[/t]
God. Dayum.

Wow. https://imperium.news/inn-investigation-player-aid/
Scottmw15 abused new players by directly targeting players that were 1 to 15 days old, luring them to come to his corporations so they could rat to pay for his PLEX. He told them they had to click on websites that had nothing to do with EVE but generated him money, to stay in. He told them visit a real estate classified site and a dating website. Scottmw15 will widely be referred to as Scott in the article. Fuck Scott. <3
WOW.
Everytime I think I've seen it all... Training up all the new players and getting them involved in fleet opps in provi is (in a way) actually kinda rewarding when you see them getting better at eve and being really enthusiastic when they come on voip. Like damn son y u do dis.
Welp I'm sick of being poor af. I think I'm gonna join Brave. [editline]13th December 2016[/editline] Okay, potentially dumb question. I see the Aug effectively creates cap from nothing when using cap transfer. However... Based on that, if two Augs ganged up, locked each other, and cap trans-ed each other... would each aug receive and fully benefit from this effect? Effectively doubling or even tripling the cap stability of these two nuggets?
As a former Brave Newbies member, i wouldn't bother joining. The culture was super toxic when i left about a year ago. No clue if they've improved but in my opinion you're better off joining some cool cunts like pandemic horde.
LOL nevermind i should RTFM. merge breakkkk I've heard the culture has vastly improved since Alpha clones came in. Maybe i'll keep looking around. I'm just looking for a corp that I can fleet up with easily if I wanna do some cooler shit, but I can fuck off on my own if I just don't feel like dealing with it.

It it also used in any form of "spider tanking" where battle ships will actually rep each other and generate capacitor for each other. (Very popular in WH space) If the amount of logi on grid is not even a group will have to make a trio cap ring, 1 transfer up & 1 transfer down. Tactic also used by capital pilots too.

I had some great days in low-sec with them but i honestly prefer living in null.
We've had a few new guys come in that joined brave first thing, general gist of brave that we got is "no one wants to help when I ask questions or actually teach me anything" ???
So there was an update today, some kind of anti-bomb module in the form of rebalanced defender missiles which I personally think is a bad idea, skins and NPE update. Nothing really major but will Bombers Bar still be a thing?

You have have the foresight to fit the thing to a destroyer, as well as lug said destroyer around with you for the entire time. Each destroyer with this fitted can intercept exactly one bomb. And whether it actually intercepts a bomb or not, it goes on cooldown for two minutes after activation. If Brave Newbies continues with that mindset for long, they will find themselves completely irrelevant. The most important things a newbro should learn are how to provide for themselves, how to fit ships according to their bonuses, and a general idea of what each hull is capable of. The slightest knowledge of the meta also helps. In my opinion, CCP needs to flat out explain what each module or hull does up front to a more effective degree (or create a database in game of modules) so that people have the faintest chance of learning it for themselves.
Not really sure how to link this as a media window but here is something I find useful for getting people in fleets quickly https://puu.sh/rlngQ.mp4
Today's lesson was isk efficiency :dogsleep:
Found some glory footage from my old wormhole corp. The best comrades I could ask for. I miss those days.
Couldnt think of another $20 range thing to add to my wishlist on amazon, decided to just throw PLEX on there. Since me and everyone else is sharing their wishlists on amazon it would be funny if I actually got a PLEX for Christmas.
With the Alpha clones thing, I honestly can't decide if I'd redeem a gifted PLEX for ISK or game time.

For those old enough to remember the login screen, CCP hasn't stopped making login themes for the game:
Man for all its shortcomings the stabber is a -mean- tackler when you strap an XL-ancil shield booster on it.
I really miss the login screen. What was the logic for its removal?
I really miss the login screen. What was the logic for its removal?
Because you log in through the launcher instead
Because you log in through the launcher instead
I mean, why did they switch to using a launcher? Doesn't have the same gravitas.
Man for all its shortcomings the stabber is a -mean- tackler when you strap an XL-ancil shield booster on it.
100mn Vagabond boi.
I mean, why did they switch to using a launcher? Doesn't have the same gravitas.
You can launch multiple clients of the game with very little effort (and across several different accounts), and all the other cool kids are using launchers nowadays anyway.
Man for all its shortcomings the stabber is a -mean- tackler when you strap an XL-ancil shield booster on it.
The stabber is my favorite cruiser by a large margin, it looks mean and its got a number of fun fits for it that let it cover tackling or frigate popping
