I have no respect for GENT though, Probably the most hypocritical streamer I've seen to date. He regularly complains about us "upshipping" him on his stream (T1 frigate gangs are considered upshipping amrite?) then goes and does that exact thing with his mate shwing shwing and then acts like he's the bigger man when we leave to find another fight. At least his buddy shwing shwing is easy to kill :v:

Hey guys, I'm a complete newbie and I'm looking to get into EVE online (again). I used to play way, way long ago (2010 and 2012) so my character has some skills and a ship, so I guess I'm just looking for a corp or something while I relearn the ropes and basically learn everything else. So I figured I'd ask here, since this is the EVE thread and all.

Null sec, low sec, wormholers? Really depends on what you want to do.

They're rather new player friendly and a great way to get introduced into null. I highly, HIGHLY recommend you join a null sec alliance. You won't wanna keep playing if you're just sitting mining ore in highsec. There's no skill requirements in test and as a returning player they'll be eager to have you, even if you've been gone for ages. PvP is the most fun you can have in the game and joining a big null sec alliance is the best way to get into that.

Highsec is for new players, traders, newer industrialists, mercenaries, suicide gankers, scammers, incursions, empire mission runners, and people who shoot statues. Lowsec is for small gang pirates, faction warfare units, misinformed miners, large scale industrialists, and nullsec empire remnants looking to regroup. Nullsec is for large player empires, massive space battles, player built infrastructure, maximum scale industry, exploration enthusiasts, professional miners, politics, drama, and dank memes. Jspace is for small/mid-sized groups of PvP fanatics, horribly misinformed miners/industrialists, exploration experts, and people with oodles of cash living the Mad Max dream. [editline]18th May 2017[/editline] This is my second (third?) year living in wormhole space, and while it's very difficult to get used to, it's probably the most interesting space in the entire game. Your next door neighbors change every day (if you want, every hour), and you never know if your static will have billions worth of loot from sites, people you can ambush, or a much larger group looking to ambush you instead.

NoVac has said they cant fight literally 4 times in a row over the course of a month. :badage:

Honestly though I love it here, the people are really great and there's lots of fun to be had.

I quite enjoyed my time in the vale. That was ages ago though, and you've all moved since then. When i relog i'm going to have a fuckload of stuff to sell for basically nothing and pod myself over to esoteria. Keen to play with you guys again though. Just need to find the fucking time.

Those PL renters sure drive a hard bargain on ratting carriers.

[/QUOTE] Well I hope so, they were my corps primary source of PVP but ever since then their space has been completely dead, to the point where my corp went and put up citadels in their space to stage from. Test/DW/Co2 actually put us not attacking DW space as one of the terms in CVA's defensive pact until the whole PL thing either goes away or roflstomps everyone. Unfortunately DW have not been adhering to the rules of said pact so they keep throwing fleets at the astrahus's and losing them to its guns which while funny, just means that its less stuff they have to help out against PL.

I bought the new art book, pretty excited. Should I post pics when it gets here?

I've always been on and off with this game going back almost 6 years and every time I get back on my old character it has always been fun, but I feel that I only ever scrape the tip of the iceberg. I've only extended out to LowSec in E-Uni and ran small-time patrols with them and dabbled in small-scale things but it was always fun being a part of a large action.

I got the book and I'm actually pretty disappointed. The ship spreads go right down the middle of the pages, so anything in the middle, I.e. everything interesting, is cut in half and you cant see it because the binding is so tight. The art isn't spectacular either. It looks like the artist overlaid their poorly made digital drawings over actual in game ships, which gives them a low quality look. The internals are really uninspired and don't show everything. I know most of the ships don't have too big of an interior for crew but they drew it in a way thats shows the ships being almost entirely just massive reactor, FTL, and engines. It just feels lazy and uninspired. :saddowns:

Another tidi fuckfest, and another Keepstar dead. Sheesh and we barely got to shoot anything yesterday because half our fleet died to a Horde bombing run and NC/PL T3Cs. Well hey my Lach lived to fight another day AND I got to whore on the Keepstar so I guess I can't complain too much.
