Yeah but is the Cat considered to be at its full value if you get it from the package? There's a discount on the ships included in the Cat+2 Flies package and Im not sure how that works for CCU shenanigans.
If you buy the combo pack, you get the ships valued at their current price. Combo is valued at $315 now, but is sold for $300 [editline]22nd June 2016[/editline]
So if I wanted to melt one of the Dragonflies later I would have to melt everything including the Cat, if I understand correctly? Tricky decision to make then. It's 95 to just bump up to the Cat from a Tali Base, and still keep its LTI, or 150 to get LTI Cat and 2 LTI Flies...but you have to run the rule of being unable to melt the Flies if you'd rather push their value into getting something else. And wouldn't that also mean if I upgrade that Cat to a Reclaimer if I melted the Flies I'd have to melt my Reclaimer too?
You can only melt the whole combo package. Since it's a pack and not standalone. [t]http://i.imgur.com/IU2qfN3.png[/t]
Aaand here is the next alliance project that is set to fall apart before it can even start. Said trailer:
Not sure it's worth the 15 dollars in savings, even if it gets me two LTI tokens then. Means I'd be stuck with the Flies (Or whatever I upgraded them into). Probably will just get the Tali > Cat CCU for now then while it's available and presumably the last time we might see the Cat at this price. I'll pick up the Cat > Aquila CCU next paycheck to reserve that to address the price stuff. Will the Cat have Salvage modules made for it by the way? Dunno if they've said anything about that.
Yes please. Would love to see another one of those masterpieces.
Done.
Dear Representative of Babylon 6, Allow me to be the first from the Facepunch Corporation to thank you for your kind introduction to your services, and invitation into your ambitious directive. We apologize for the delay in responding to your formal request – it has been so long since we’ve last received external communications that when the terminal began flashing a notification, we had barricaded the door with both the interns’ office equipment and the interns themselves. Only after days of intense debate between our senior members were we reasonably confident that this was a genuine inquiry for the corporation at large and not another Nigerian prince’s offer taken one step too far. As I’m sure you have done your research, you understand that the Facepunch Corporation has a long and storied history of pioneering the future and cleaning up after our mistakes. We are innovators and adapters, diversifying our interests to remain on the cutting edge. On one hand, your offer is enticing – maintaining an embassy of sorts on a space station with 24/7 service would have benefits of expansion and profit spanning the known galaxy. On the other, we take corporate espionage extremely serious, and your desire to have a multitude of factions all together in one spot working together is suspicious at best and naïve at worst. What would we tell our Eternal CEO if Granny Newman toured our allotted office on Babylon 6, and saw it was no more than a broom closet adorn with a mirror, to always show us our openly-weeping faces? And that behind that mirror was a bomb? Such a bomb so strategically placed that the very vacuum of space pulls in each and every man, women, child, and xenophile on-board out into the emptiness of space? Suddenly we have poor Granny Newman traveling at 500 m/s towards the nearest sun, a broom closet office with an undesired window view, and an empty space station that is clearly no longer manned 24/7. The Facepunch Corporation prides itself on having an on-site speculative team designed to imagine every possibility in order to make the most informed and positive decision, and frankly their description of the event above scared me and the rest of the Board so profusely that we fired the team. Their replacements, however, came to the same conclusion – now I have no speculative team on-staff, and the profit loss needed to rehire the first team is astronomical. This is even BEFORE we’ve entered an agreement! It is with a heavy heart that, at this time, the Facepunch Corporation formally declines the offer. However, this does not mean that our stance cannot change in the future, or that some of our pilots can’t extend their services to Babylon 6 as freelancers or liaisons. We simply have concerns that the suggested arrangement between so many factions will create a ticking time-bomb separate from the one suspiciously placed in our embassy on-board. Please feel free to mark us down in the ‘Maybe/Someday’ category within your organization with optimism and future disappointment, and perhaps somewhere down the line the Facepunch Corporation can use our fleet to assist you in your needs for diplomacy, infiltration, and bomb disposal, complete with a larger office. Regards,
So is there any sort of trading/market working currently that would allow me to make use of the Cat?
So is there any sort of trading/market working currently that would allow me to make use of the Cat?
The Cat isn't even ingame at the moment.
So is there any sort of trading/market working currently that would allow me to make use of the Cat?
When Caterpillar does go flight ready it's expected (guessed) it will be coupled or otherwise somewhere near in time with the implementation of the cargo/trade system. Right now we're not sure when it'll be available to any capacity, though I'm going to be optimistic and say hangar ready for patch 2.5, and flight ready for patch 2.7 when "items 2.0" is expected

People were speculating it'd be flight-ready once cargo and ship-to-ship refuelling mechanics were in the game. But we got neither. Rather than anticipating stuff, I've decided "I'll believe when I see" is a better strategy. We'll wait and see what happens for the remainder of 2016.

with the current persistence, do you lose armour and weapons when you die?
no

Well here's a link to a post dated January 30th. About a 1/4 down the page. Just googling it shows some German articles with it from months ago. [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] Here's a German game article dated November last year.
is it supposed to mean something? it shows armour and weapons that are currently in-game
is it supposed to mean something? it shows armour and weapons that are currently in-game
possibly hinting at star marine being near.
possibly hinting at star marine being near.
Star Marine is already out though?
Star Marine is already out though?
Imagine being this uninformed.
Star Marine is already out though?
I guess that shows just how closely you've been watching the development of the game before you've been complaining about it.
Star Marine is already out though?
the electronic access gamemode, not the mini-pu combat. the gamemode is ment to be basically a call-of-duty styled fps deathmatch game that shows off the shooting gameplay. they have been working alot on the gunplay recently, adding a shotgun and other various guns. Wouldn't be surprised if it's up next.
he's taking the piss over the explanation that people wave away 'star marine not being out', in the fact all of the FPS features that originally were meant to be developed and released through it ended up being PU functions. If they put the picture up on instagram recently, regardless of whether the image existed months ago, could be a hint it's on the docket for a near update. It could also mean they're just tossing up images they haven't tossed on it before.
CR said in this week's 10ftC that they'd made breakthroughs on making the motion not look and feel clunky. And one of the major complaints in this very thread about SC's fps gameplay is that it's awkward and clunky. So, yeah, they're hinting at fps enhancements and possibly the release of the Star Marine game mode -- which CR also implied in 10ftC. When is a different matter, but we know CIG doesn't give firm deadlines unless they're so close to being ready they know they'll make them.

Its a date that seems too far out to be a solid confirmation. That said, I'll still be fairly impressed if it's implemented by the coming spring.
How are you meant to finish things where you have a design where the goal post moves about as fast as you can run?
