Man i wish they could add a new electronic acess gamemode that combine fps and space battle, just like battlefront 2 or eternal silence.

At one time, it was slated for "Arena Commander 3.0" which would have been about summer 2016, and given CIG's current progress, this could actually be an accurate prediction. More surprising would be that if it did come out in summer 2016, the prediction would have been correct two years in advance, which is nearly unheard of. AC has not been updated for multicrew ships because the map boundaries will likely need to be expanded a bit and the lobby system will need an under-the-hood as well as UI overhaul to allow you to load in as a crew slot in someone else's ship instead of mandatorily spawning in one of your own. No ETA on when that's happening, but now that Alpha 2.0 is out the door and 2.1 is on PTU, it's only a matter of time.
So, uh, remember how I used to do some "LTI converting" before the system was shut down? Well... [t]http://i.imgur.com/xDoFyMk.png[/t] :ohno:
I might be super late, but I only just now noticed that the front of the Endeavor can just snap off and turn into an explorer craft. [t]https://robertsspaceindustries.com/media/s4v8tao3a2gxkr/source/Seperate-Endeavor01.jpg[/t] I still don't know why you'd want to fly around in space with a giant supercollider, tho.
can you explain that pic to me? i STILL don't get this new system
Shit you bought ages ago can be re-bought. That's all. So when people gave me their ships so I could melt them and rebuy them for adding LTI, the system registered those ships as mine, and is giving me the option of re-re buying them. So if you've ever only bought one ship and never melted or gifted anything, the page would be empty
so you can have limited edition ships again?
Everyone who bought and replaced them, yes. They can also apparently be gifted so I guess the grey market is sort of back

Might as well embrace the madness :v: On the plus side, Connie Taurus GET! Retaliator soon! When? NOW! Nothing like that new ship smell.
I still don't know why you'd want to fly around in space with a giant supercollider, tho.
You're going to be able to overclock parts and tune them to precisions not available in a shop. How that works, I dunno, but it's the 30th century, go figure.
Is the multiplayer version of Vanduul Swarm a lot more difficult compared to the singleplayer one?
By the way, is there a key to open the torpedo bay doors in the Retaliator?
you have to online the launchers either by mmb while target selected or by clicking on the appropriate panels
Has there been some micro patches for 2.0 lately? My game has suddenly become very unstable, crashing all the time and throwing a bunch of those error 7 (Unlocalized Error)s.. I've just deleted the USER folder and run the verify inegrity tool in the launcher, will see if it helps, though I doubt it.
Code 7 is a mismatch between what the server's sending and the client's expectations on what it's getting. Verify should fix unless it's a server-side retardation. However, sometimes it's just matchmaking puking the bed. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/faq/disconnection-codes
Is there any way to join a session with a friend or get in an empty session? We figured out how to use the f11 contacts menu (Alt Space to enable mouse, took us a while) but when we go to join our friends session it's always full at 16/16 or becomes full while loading.
Not really, yet. Friends/party functionality in 2.0 is very much WIP or not there at all. It's something they've acknowledged and are working on, but it didn't make it in time for 2.0 and they weren't going to hold everything back just for it. Basically, all you can do now is refresh hoping to see it at less than 16/16 and get in before it fills, for now. But it's temporary.
I was just reading the article on the Reliant variants. The News Van one fascinates me - Is this CIG's answer to players asking for a way to record cinematic footage of the game for fan-made machinimas, trailers, etc? I'd personally prefer a 'record and replay' mechanic with the ability to control your camera inside of that replay, speed up time or slow it down, GTA V style, but the idea of having a ship with a powerful mounted camera for some of that work is... intriguing.

I don't know how it's going to work and I'm intrigued to hear more details. They're designing it with streamers in mind, which leads me to believe that one person'll be flying and the other'll have some sort of full-screen camera-view from the crew station, able to zoom in and track objects, or something. It falls right into CR's immersion obsession that cinematic camera functionality was delivered in-universe instead of a demo recording and offline-editor mode. (An offline editor mode would also be nice, but hey.) [editline]20th December 2015[/editline] Reddit's fake soviets do it again. After deleting my USER folder, the game became stable again. I played around with a super hornet, removed all of the guns and gimbals, replaced most with size 3 panther repeaters but on the top turret, I fitted a combine ballistic.. That thing is so funny, it'll say the most underwhelming sound when firing, but when those rounds hit something it sounds like a thunderstorm and whatever ship I hit will be send off course and spin like crazy, missing half of the hull or just upright explode right then and there :D I did bring a co-pilot to control the cannon, otherwise it couldn't hit the same target as my repeaters simulatiously. Is there any player updated stats sheet that I can check? Mostly looking for how fast the projectile it fires travels, that way I can fit only weapons that are able to hit the same target all at once.
Holy shit do goons hate this game
The goons circlejerk over this game just as much as the worst of the "cultists" do on the RSI forums, just in the other direction. There is no reason to read the SA thread unless you enjoy seeing senseless bile and negativity thrown around like it was the cure for cancer. Except to laugh whenever DS posts or someone roasts him.
As I've seen from recent events in EVE Online, it's probably best to avoid SA entirely.
At the risk of sounding like a complete doofus, what's the SA thread? :v:
At the risk of sounding like a complete doofus, what's the SA thread? :v:
Something Awful forums Star Citizen thread. It's like a louder, more obnoxious, and frequently dumber version of FP.
the goons still have 468 members in their SC org https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/FLJK/members
If gaming was Dark Souls, and Facepunch was the Sunbro Covenant, then Something Awful would be the Darkwraiths. Does that put it in perspective?
