Once you have the CCU token in your My Hangar, you'll be able to apply it anytime before beta (as stated on every CCU token's store page).
Can't wait 'til they start selling the equivalent of AT-AT's for ground assaults.
and my ship upgrade quest comes to a close as i get a constellation andromeda.
woop
main reason being no other ship interests me except for the endeavor (too much $$) and the phoenix (not available via ship upgrades and too much $$)
could buy back my other LTI ship to resell to someone mayb (if it allows).
This thread became deep rather quickly
I've got myself a new mustang! Yay!
Now, I'm watching videos around to learn how to play/figure out the alpha. Anyone knows any handy guides/forum posts that could guide a new player?

I just really like spaceships.
Seen the Lego Movie? 80's Astronaut minifigure is me. It was my bigscreen debut

SPACESHIP!
[editline]28th December 2015[/editline]
When I went to the aero/astro engineering advisor he corrected me and said that "we don't make spaceships. We make spacecraft."
you wanker watch me try
Speaking of spaceships, I'm trying to come up with names for mine. Here's what I've got so far, taking suggestions:
Ranger (Vanguard Warden/Sentinel/Harbinger)
Hotshot (Super Hornet)
Destrier (Constellation Andromeda)
Hammer (Retaliator)
Hydra (Starfarer)

i just played EA (electronic access) for the first time and theres a flight tutorial thing i think in there.
Now that i know the entire universe is being rendered to all players all the time, the glitches and fps drops make a fuck load of sense. Once they get it settled so only whats in the player's general area is rendered, alpha will be a whole 'nother experience.
I also didn't realize they were doing seamless planets, and they showed it real time, I haven't been this hyped for a game since i was a kid. Can't wait to cruise the galaxy with my brother in a Reliant.

:pudge:
What is this supposed to be?

It looks like the Ghost thing from Destiny.
Artifact or a modern speaker.
Also, what's the procedure with Error 7 (unlocalized stuff)?
Error 7 is the client and server having a version mismatch or other disagreement about what is and is not acceptable. Verify client, delete USER folder, restart launcher.

There we go.
Started a new bug report for tracking, relating to an art asset issue with the Hornet. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone else could verify and contribute to this issue.
As someone who only owns the mustang alpha starter pack, what upgrades could you guys recommend? Can I get anything more lethal for under £20?

Avenger is pretty solid, I got one not long ago and it gets shit done. Mustang Delta is also good, iirc.

Actually, yes. Provided you're using the "Ship Upgrades" menu, which lets you select from a list of existing ships and apply an upgrade to them for the price difference, you can upgrade to the "Avenger Stalker" for 19.50GBP. The Avenger boasts some awesome missiles, a powerful gimballed gatling cannon, and fixed wing-mounted weapons that are awesome at draining ships' shields. It also has an internal compartment that comes equipped with restraining pods for holding prisoners. It is fast and decently agile, being a ship of choice for bounty hunters and law enforcement.
if you don't want the prisoner pods, you can get the Titan for $10 less
And you'll be able to get the prisoner pods and other stuff as modules in the PU anyway, so a Titan can fit the Warlock's EMP, etc. It's not possible yet, but it will be.
Huh. I might upgrade my Mustang Alpha to an Avenger Titan
You filthy mustang turn coats. I'll see you all blasted to pieces in your superior in mostly all aspects ship!!
The Freelancer's apparently due for a 'remodel'; does that include the cockpit? My DUR's supposed to be for discovering distant worlds but I can't see anything five meters directly in front of it.

the remodel can be seen in 2.1, which is the available opt-in PTU version. Variants will follow later, they're getting the base version of all the earlier ships fleshed out with the new system before touching on variants
If I apply the upgrade to my Aurora LN to get a Reliant, don't i get some sort of replacement temp ship to fly? Like just the base aurora variant?
I don't see any need to do so atm though I guess. I'm thinking of buying the Reliant Kore to SEN upgrade and just leaving it for when I can activate them, I imagine the Kore will come first and I'll use that until I can activate the SEN upgrade and actually use it.
So I have this joystick that requires a serial port. That's not too old to use for SC right?

I imagine as long as Windows can see it, so too can the game.

Just be lucky it's not a scuzzy port. :v:
OK so I actually installed the game. Turns out I can run it at like 1600x900 or something at 45-60.
How did my Aurora MR's gimbals get locked over at an odd angle during Arena Commander? I didn't even think it had gimbals, but after a couple rounds, when I would fire, the lasers would fly out 45 degrees right and down of my reticle. It didn't seem like I had any damage (although I was definitely hit by a missile or two)
Also when do Reliant people get loaner ships? :saxout:
