I now regret spending $195-240 on an internet spaceship slightly less now
does the regular SF not have the fuckoff dorsal turret though? that alone might just make me apply this Gemini upgrade right now
apparently someone got recruited under my referral code somehow
neat. guess i got badges now

not all that surprising, all of the Sabre's component ships are flight-ready already

can't blame her for not liking a bodysuit when her style is "80's empowered businesswoman". Even the dresses she wears to events look like they're made of the padded inserts for suit jacket shoulderpads

You just know someone like that has to be kinky as hell under it all, though. Almost everyone with a dignified demeanor is.

Don't mind me, I see the world in strange and magical ways.
ok since she is gary oldman's daughter and they both captain ships or whatever I'm saying 93.5% chance that she is forced to sacrifice gary or he sacrifices himself whilst she's present and she has to get over the ~emotional turmoil~ to complete the mission
or even the complete opposite with her dying but you get the gist

Is she a good actress? No? She thinks that it's hard to be serious when you're in a mocap suit, lol.

Eh, Gary Oldman's character is a politician, one of those officers of extremely high rank that sits in a cushy office, or else on a powerful and well-protected capital ship, while others wage war on his behalf. I highly doubt he'd ever be at any real risk.

no, the so far the old general archetype that will sacrifice people if it means to win. Like he would play chicken and ram someone if he could.

uh, the whole thing of sq42 is to [sp]find bishop because his ship has disappeared on some clandestine shit behind enemy lines[/sp] (weak plot spoiler that's been said by CR dozens of times)

Oh.
or, you know, the sequence at 2:10 in that video

The Audio Hell bug is still present and they're trying to track it down so if it happens to you, there is a thread about it.
Patch notes highlights:
- Improved the overheat rate of the Revenant Gatling gun, so that it will go longer before overheating.
- Slightly reduced the overall maneuverability of the Vanguard Warden. It should take longer to rotate in all directions. Slightly reduced the oversteer/slide.
- Fixed an issue where enemy Vanduul AI ships would spin out of control when killed and only despawn on hitting the simulation boundary.
- We are temporarily changing the Vanguard to use one shield at 6x current strength, to closer mimic its final function. This is temporary as the tech for the six-shield set up the Vanguard will have in its final iteration is not yet implemented in 2.1.
- Fixed a bug that caused all doors in ArcCorp and Million Mile High club to break.
- Fixed a number of server and client crashes.
- Made several FPS performance improvements to the Constellation Andromeda while in Crusader.
If you downloaded the PTU you can probably save a lot on the download by renaming your SC install\Public folder to something else and renaming Test to Public and then having the launcher verify the files. If you do, fully nuke the PTU-copy USER folder first!
I got login failed whenever I tried to get into PTU 2.1.1 so hopefully that doesn't continue (since live 2.1 was working fucking fine!) for me. :v:
This week's Vault dump is a Starfarer WIP dump.

CIG has also posted these greybox WIPs of the Xi'An Scout:

I really like this. I don't know why, but I love rooms in spaceships that are so huge they get their own little observation rooms with windows.
have i mentioned how excited i am for my starfarer
because i'm really excited for my starfarer
What sort of fuel do the ships in SC use anyways? That would tell us what sort of fusion reaction they're doing since there are four types. I'm betting deuterium and helium-3, as the output of that is all charged particles so you don't need a steam system and could possibly use the output itself for thrust.
Woo, 2.1.1 an 8GB balancing patch..
So it took like like two years to notice that all the beds are, in fact, escape pods. But what happens when you escape in them? Do they have tiny lil jump drives that zip you back to the nearest safe port while you lie down, or do you just kinda float there in space under the blankets?

Most seem to be basic pods. The kind that sit there floating about.
They may have some advanced escape pods late on.
you eject and set off a distress beacon. As a player you're likely going to fade to black and wake up in a hospital/rescue ship or something, whereas your body and pod turn into an NPC for other players or NPCs to rescue within normal simulation time.
for 'advanced' kinds, Vanguard's whole midsection is the escape pod and has basic maneuvering + all the amenities the ship had before so you can wait out a bad extended stay. Caterpillar's cabin is also kind of an escape pod? It's basically a semi truck cab attached to a semi truck trailer. It can detatch/reattach at will to its main body and to other cat bodies, so you could potentially fly out in just the cabin to retreive a derelict cat or a body full of some delivery or something, it's neat

oh by the way you can get it again
I suggest everyone at least pick up a few Taurus->Khartu

Well, we'll be scooping fuel from gas giants, as I understand it. So Hydrogen or Helium-3 seems likely.
Aw yisssss. One more for the KA Owners Club!

Just did the census...
I think I have a problem :v:
Anyone want a ride on my sexy LTI-Starliner? :class:
Is it possible to side-grade my Titan Stalker into the Cargo variant without spending any money/keeping LTI?
Also, what's the cargo size like on the Mustang Beta? I'm wondering whether it's worth trading in the Titan for it.
At the moment there is no ability to downgrade without full melt. CIG has discussed the possibility of downgrading but that's nebulous and difficult for them to handle in a store logistics sense. Also, I assume you have an Avenger Stalker ($60), not an Avenger Titan ($50).
The Mustang Beta has only incidental cargo space (store a gun in the cabinet, etc.) on account of the rear fuselage being devoted to the explorer cabin.
[t]https://robertsspaceindustries.com/media/ar58web1jkaybr/source/02a-MustangBetaInterior02.jpg[/t]
The Alpha has a cargo sled with less capacity than an Aurora (due to the Aurora's underslung box, which is upgradeable to a bigger box - at the expense of greater mass and worse performance).
If you want a starter to haul, get a Reliant Kore (the hauling variant). Unfortunately for you, the Kore is a $50 ship and if you do in fact have a Stalker (the original Avenger model) it's higher-priced and can't CCU that way. However, you can spend $5 to upgrade your Avenger Stalker into a Reliant Tana (the Skirmisher), and have a combat variant ship that can swap out to the Reliant Kore's hauler loadout through the modularity system once the PU's out.
And, since the current priority is to get every baseline ship out and then the variants, and the Reliant is a high-priority ship for CIG, you'll get to play with the Reliant Kore when it becomes available (if you upgrade then/after - if you upgrade before the Reliant is flyable your Avenger turns into an Aurora MR loaner, RIP).
Wanting to get a new ship, but the archimedes will be a bit pointless for space travel what with no quantum warp.
325A looks spiffy, how is it compared to the Mustang Alpha?
