Naturally the thread OP TL;DRs down to "only one store-credit unmelt token means if you melt a shitload to buy an Idris and don't manage to buy an Idris before they run out, you're fucked". Of course it's bitching about unmelts and Idrises, and it also derails several times into discussing the grey market. Thanks, OP, for validating stereotypes.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/8wQxgjJ.png[/t] oh yay, this is going to feel great in first person, i bet! thanks croberts for muh realism and immersion before gameplay!
Complaining about immersion when it's one of the focuses of the game doesn't really make much sense.
imagine being in the cockpit when the starfarer's neck breaks, surviving to see the whole thing just open up as you're trying to bail and run for the escape pods also just wanted to note the notation in the reliant drawings up there indicate the ceiling is 2m tall, or ~6'5, which is probably about 3" shorter than your bedroom doorway. Those player stand-ins are really tall dudes
sure hope so, 325a hasn't felt worth it in a long time
AtV mentions work being done on the 325A. They seem to be starting on getting the 3xx rework underway now.

jarjar was there last week
Meanwhile, over in the LoD forums on Steam, stupid unironically holds a garry-style idiot cull.

Six keystrokes still feels a bit much
Six keystrokes still feels a bit much
Good on you for being economical and using the numberpad's asterisk rather than the one you'd have to hold shift down for, though.

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD BECOME HANGAR/FLIGHT READY ALREADY NEED
I find it more than a little silly that a super advanced space fighter is using rivets.
I find it more than a little silly that a super advanced space fighter is using rivets.
It's the ISO Standard Human Spaceship Riveted gunmetal gray boxes with engines on one end and guns on the other.
haha yeah we outgrew bolts in aerospace decades ago right [t]http://theaviationist.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/PAK-FA-1.jpg[/t] [t]https://grahampilot.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/f-22_1.jpg[/t] [t]http://plarealtalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/j-20-nose.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.vtol.org/images/dmGallery/SourceImage/fig%203%20-%2011P00468_067_LoRes.jpg[/t] [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0f/SpaceX_Dragon_C2%2B_rotating_for_mate_to_Falcon_9_(KSC-2012-2563).jpg[/t] [editline]5th February 2016[/editline] like, the entire MISC aesthetic is curves and bolts so I don't know why you're only complaining now
The free-flight has been extended to the 14th. Also, on RtV, the pricing for after the split was announced: Purchase either the PU or SQ42 alone for $45, add the other for $15. Pricing will climb on the other-half purchase between now and launch. [t]https://robertsspaceindustries.com/media/6czwkd2o8z5jnr/source/BHVR-Header.jpg[/t] The BHVR header in full. [t]https://robertsspaceindustries.com/media/yen7cbbc9nxtyr/source/3.jpg[/t] Daaaaamn son, I wanna be a pirate now. back in a day or two after I finish reading the typical novel that is the monthly report. Also, the UEE War Bonds are in the hangar now; also, for anyone who qualifies (read: not me), in the website My Hangar page only, multiple additional backer rewards have been handed out, including the space plant and the special MobiGlas unit. [t]https://i.imgur.com/gxVkMPI.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/sSVAyNi.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/wSx3E4t.png[/t] They called them "Ortwinbucks" in this cringingly-funny barely-disguised PSA that the game isn't P2W and only the bare minimum pledge is required, so I'm guessing that's Ortwin on the side. Are Connies still a thing you're supposed to be able to use in AC?
[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7939899/Images/gifs/Star%20Citizen/scstuff.webm[/vid] Are most of them just cosmetic items for the ship/hangar?
The plant, the artifact, and the ortwinbuck will be but the rest of them will be usable items
[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7939899/Images/gifs/Star%20Citizen/scstuff.webm[/vid]
I got all of these, too. How come some of us qualified, and others didn't?
haha yeah we outgrew bolts in aerospace decades ago right [editline]5th February 2016[/editline] like, the entire MISC aesthetic is curves and bolts so I don't know why you're only complaining now
Do notice that on those examples, said bolts are used on plates that are supposed to be relatively easy to remove for stuff like maintenance whereas the bolts on the Reliant are haphazardly thrown about for detail/visual noise. Plus the fact that aircraft design isn't really a 1:1 comparison to spaceship design. e: Really, I'm just nitpicking more than anything. 99% of people playing the game won't notice them or care anyway. :v
I got all of these, too. How come some of us qualified, and others didn't?
They're stretch goal rewards. If you weren't in before, say, the 42 million mark, you don't get the Explorer-class MobiGlas. If you backed before then, it should be there. I backed just after the stretch goals stopped being physical stuff that's assigned to your account, aside from UEC I think.
so good to see frankfurt is working on a delta patching system! I'll be able to keep up to date more when I don't blow half my internet quota every patch

You're not flying a plane, which would be a thin aluminum skin wrapped around a steel frame, you're flying an armored brick. More rivets kind of makes sense.
