Record Star Citizen bugging out

Why is this getting so many dislikes?

I'm hoping that when persistence arrives, you first earn REC in the baby PU and holotable changes carry into Olisar. If they pull those two fairly simple linkages together (actual persistence is a big coding challenge, but making it generate REC and read your holotable config without having to ping AC first seems easy by comparison), we'll finally have a "real" game and I think PU player traffic will increase substantially.
I'm still on vacation so joining in is tough for me at the moment, but now that 2.2 supposedly has working party joins, we should start trying to arrange events.
Hunt the X might work well, now, as long as the hunted player doesn't QD away from the playing field. A swarm of Auroras chasing a Hornet through the Yela asteroid belt could be really fun.
noticed something that significantly fixes my problem with how fast you decelerate in physicalized EVA, shift finally grants you boost. You can travel hella fast from one olisar landing area to the next instead of feeling like you're trawling through knee-deep peanut butter
yea that happened after awhile and i was like "Hol shit did i glitch something"
The Hornet's Klaus & Werner CF-117 Badger Repeater laser bolt strikes your Aurora's Seal Corporation INK-Mark 204-ID shield generator, damaging the Behring Systems 2F-B focal actuator and penetrating the RSI Movework parallel piping conduit, overloading the focal actuator and the actuator!

"5x56"
ok
that tungsten sabot is sharp
nitpick: the black casing is the sabot, the sharp metal object within is the penetrator
I hope grabby hands will allow us to use it as a melee weapon though
that tungsten sabot is sharp
I bet Korro's LN can take a hit from it and still take down Vanduul.
Then again that LN withstood a direct max-SCM-speed impact from a Mustang Delta with, far as I could tell, zero damage.
[sp]what I'm saying is hax :v[/sp]
more like the LN takes a hit from it, and becomes one with it as it continues toward said vanduul
Sabot is really for critical hits. On any given ship there'd be a fair few angles where it'd pass through and not actually do damage. Especially on something like the 300i, where most of the middle section is just cabin space and everything vital is crammed towards the back

I'm excited to fulfil the 'marksman' role initially pitched for the avenger, heavy duty high impact weapons with minimal ammo but great damage potential are my jam and I can't wait to go space whale hunting in small ships
also that round is for the shoulder-fired anti-ship railgun, not a mounted weapon
also that round is for the shoulder-fired anti-ship railgun, not a mounted weapon
figured given its size and the collection of other ammunition, but still give me 4 size 3 ship equivalents of that
better yet, imagine keeping the s4 mount for cutlass turrets and you need a dude in the back to manually load shells into it like a tank crew

I think they missed the memo on the point of sabots too. The front-most guide is thicker than the other bits and not cylindrical???
It bothers me that the HE shells are blue, yet the stun shell is black. Blue is for dummy rounds and simunitions!
also that round is for the shoulder-fired anti-ship railgun, not a mounted weapon
Find a dusty shipping container filled with crappy Cathcart knock-offs, and arm resistance fighters in Vanduul space

The weird part I don't get is the front looks like it's the only part of the armature that actually contacts the rails?
Here's an example of an actual armature/sabot assembly for a railgun

Lol, half of a cannon sabot, half of a railgun sabot, and both in such a way that would make either not work anyway.

Actually, looks like each round is an entire firing assembly. The back seems to have that 7.4V 4400mA battery, so I guess it's meant as a quick disposable firing system where the rifle's battery and round are swapped each shot

Here's a really awful diagram (I'll make a better one if it doesn't help a lot. But I'm guessing that whole assembly might be slotted into the rifle, and the back box is connected to charge the weapon's capacitors up while the front box fires the tungsten round into the rails?

Ah, yeah it's possible the blue glossy part is the sabot that travels down a conventional tube.
Anyone else get an invite to the 2.2.1 PTU?

Oh does this mean they're actually working on the 300 series to make it less shit?

they're completely reworking the series, which has me more curious now. I'd have assumed they'd wait til they actually update its model and setup before tweaking it anymore
this is primarily a hotfix, people were reporting such things as no hud and ridiculous handling/durability

they probably just mean simple stuff, like fixing it's damage system so that the entire engine doesn't fall off immediately whenever people shoot you from behind
