It's a hell of a lot more stable than the PTU. I'm legit impressed. I only hope that it's not just because I got in super early from copying my install over.
Oh, and my FPS seems directly tied to how many ships are spawned. At the start of a server when nobody is flying, I get an amazing and silky smooth framerate. However the more ships, and the more complicated those ships are, start flying around, it starts to degrade until I get the standard PTU 20fps.
The FPS seems generally better only because everybody isn't flying Constellations anymore and instead there's now a lot more smaller single seat fighters. Eventually though, enough ships will spawn that my framerate goes to shit.

[del]Gimballed weapons got nerfed hard in tracking rates.[/del] Some gimballed mounts got nerfed hard. The Mustang Alpha's is awful, but the Gladius still feels normal. It makes them kind of awkward to use because even if you aim at something it'll take what feels like 5 seconds for them to eventually make it over to the target, which is a good thing? Maybe? I don't know. It doesn't feel like the right solution to gimbal vs fixed if that's what the purpose of that is.

I cannot get over how smooth Arena Commander runs now. It feels like a completely different game.
I wouldn't mind joining a game with some of you guys when my download completes.
Also wow. I was asking for all the ships to be heavy like the Hornet and they really did it.
The Mustang and Gladius are both much heavier in terms of strafing ability. It heavily emphasizes the use of your main engines in basically all maneuvers which I find cool and means managing your speed becomes much more important and interesting. If you fly fast, you're going to have trouble changing your velocity vector and sometimes you really need that over straight line speed.
I suspect there will be many who are upset by this, and I wouldn't be opposed to making the light ships like the Mustang a bit more maneuverable in terms of strafing with where they are now, because it's a pretty extreme difference. Still, talk about swinging in completely the opposite direction from what it was before.
God damn this is a good patch.

About that stability... would you be able to test a big multi-crew ship like the Connie, and see if you're still having the same issues you had in the PTU? I can't get in for at least another hour and a half.
I'd rather not because I hate the Constellation :v:
I want the loner Hornet back.
~25 minutes to go on DL. Heading out to buy booze.
WHY WASN'T I TOLD THAT THIS WENT LIVE?!
:godzing: :toot::toot::toot:

I'm actually scared this means the Hornet's going to be even worse than it was. Is that even possible?

I think the Hornet is unchanged from what it was in the 2.0 PTU, but I have no way to test aside from hijacking somebody elses.
So i started up the launcher and it said there was a game update available. I then proceeded to shit my pants when i started reading the patch notes. 20 minutes until this thing gets downloaded so brb laundry.
Constellation still doesn't want to repair when you take it to the landing pads. It won't land, and if you manually land it doesn't repair.

Got my first client crash in the Constellation too.

That... blows. I wish they'd have fixed that bug, it's been around as long as PTU has had 2.0.
way too drunk, i'll make the attempt in the morn

I didn't get to play 2.0 PTU so I don't know what handling was like. Was it more or even less agile than 1.3?
God fucking damnit, 20fps tops. I want to enjoy 2.0, I really do :/

Alt-tabbing during QD has a chance of inflicting a kind of awesome graphical glitch - the QD lighting and "hurtling through space" visual effects never stop happening. Even if you EVA.

The second-order motion helped with the Hornet a bit, but I don't think it'll satisfy Arch. I'm no Hornet master, but the SH felt less fuck-drifty in live than it did when I tried it mid-PTU. It's a small step forward.
Performance started to tank badly after about two hours, and had a few choking moments here and there, but I also haven't given my machine a full restart. And, performance only becoming an issue after two hours?

Turns out tables are 1 player only

We make do.
Wait, actual 2.0 is out, not just for those in PTU?
[editline]11th December 2015[/editline]
So I should be actually downloading the game right now?

Also, the monthly subscriber flair model is an Aurora LN.
Aurora
and here I thought the mustang was disappointing
I think this is the very first time I've actually exited the game using the menu after about 40 minutes of gameplay, instead of crashing mid-gameplay.
Well, it locked up and crashed when I exited, but it's the thought that counts. :vs:
so according to the patch notes, you can only summon the default loadout in port olisar?
that significantly kills my hype, the default cutlass is complete garbo
In theory changing it in the holotable might work? It did in the PTU for at least a little bit according to what I saw, but I didn't try it.
And, one thing at a time. And at least it means no holotables in Olisar.

As far as I can tell. I hate the 300i's default loadout.
Also had some fun bug, somehow the wing cannons on my 300 inexplicably gained gimbal mounts and were locked pointing 25 degrees towards the nose for a couple minutes in the middle of a dogfight. Every shot converged a few meters ahead of the cockpit.
After activating a comm array, I got back in my ship and my view was locked looking to the right. I had to shuffle blindly to the seat and get in to fix it. Good thing the 300 has no interior to get stuck on.

What is this flair model you speak of? An ingame model of Aurora?
hoboy so I just did a quantum jump in my LN which engaged while I was still going backwards after doing a turn, I permanently blacked out when I arrived at the next point.
Step in the on abandon station, ended up 170km away.
